Anytime is the right time if you are planning to just hold for a long time or used it as a transaction fee for an ERC20 token transfer. If you are a swing trader then ofcourse this is not the right time to buy because it was heavily pump on last few days. It depends on your purpose to determine the right timing to buy. If you can manage to do DCA its better. Buying constant dip could make you own eth slowly but surely. There is always a retracement and we must bought during this time. I think ethereum is the best choice for now because it's start to be bullish again. I still see a lot of potential for Ethereum if they can deliver with their upcoming upgrades and the full transition to PoS by next year. If this really works out as the Ethereum Dev-Team has imagined and promised and the ETH-fees will go down again to a value that is affordable and acceptable for everyday users and small traders that are doing transactions with values of below 100$, then i think Ethereum can really do another rally to 5k $ and even more, but if they fail to deliver i would guess that the price will also go down drastically. Sure, you can buy it if you expect a $4k price point soon. But is it worth it for a jump from $3700 to $4k? I mean, it's not much of a profit, and there's a chance it won't happen. As for its current price, I think it's very high, and it might be worth waiting to see where this is going. I believe in the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks respectively, and so even though it would have been much better to buy eth a couple of months back, it is still not a bad idea to accumulate ethereum now, it has been bullish for quite a while already and I expect that to continue, what I like about the ethereum ecosystem is their continual growth and development, and I expect that to continue and thus making it a great choice of investment for the long term. I don't think that the altcoins were following the Bitcoin bullish half of October, the alts were in decline while Bitcoin was on the rise alongside with ETH but with a small pump for Ethereum, it would have been the best time to actually buy ETH when it was still lower compared to the price now since this is actually the best time to hold and wait for a few more days or weeks, and might as well buy some more while hodling.
