I don't understand the legal intricacies of US state laws at all, but are there any licensing requirements for exhibition fights? I assumed that since there are no belts at stake and in fact this event is more related to the show than to the sport, then what could be the obstacles to its organization? I hope we will see the resolution of these incomprehensible problems in the near future.

It's hilarious that they waited this long to disprove all the talks about the fight between Mike Tyson and Logan paul. they could have ended the rumors right after it has been spread to the public, I guess they needed the publicity.

Logan Paul may have started this idea of facing Mike Tyson thinking that he could make a million dollars facing one of the baddest man on the planet when he is above 50 years and make a name for himself, but when he see all the training videos posted by Mike Tyson, who wont be afraid to get knocked out cold for everyone to laugh at Logan Paul .

I like it when he said that he can't feel it because it's obvious that the fight is just for the money. He's actually going to help Jake on his cause by taking this fight although, he's also going to earn a lot from it. I also think that he can still make Jake face on the floor if he'd take this fight.
But it's better to be clear before everyone is drawing conclusion with just the rumor that's verified that it's not going to happen.

But as per recent news it is being said that the fight has not be licensed/sanctioned in Las Vegas which again will delay the whole process.

After the news that there seems to be a mutual agreement that they're going to fight for $50M. There goes these follow ups that says that it's not going to happen. But it's good to see that the first news about it was just a rumor and not true. This is much better to see that there's real representative for Tyson to verify the rumors that have been circulating on the internet. Just another article that says that they won't fight from Forbes.

I wonder why they decided to pull back the fight. It could have been a good exhibition fight if they would have hosted the fight.

Yeah, that clears everything that the fight is just a rumor. But I won't say that it's a fake news but a speculation and just a rumor but eventually, we get to see the clearer picture that there's no fight that will ever happen between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.
The reason why the fight won't pursue is likely due to some disagreement and I think the posts above makes sense why Mike won't take the fight.

Mike Tyson will get a sanction as he is a legend and he only wants to prove that he is healthy but Logan brothers does not have any high level boxing opponents in their career and usually the boxing body is strict in giving a novice to get a license to fight someone who was a champion.

I guess every state in the US has it's own set of requirements and protocols before the they issues a license and green light to make the fight happen, we don't know exactly where they lack in one or two of those said requirements because this fight won't be sanctioned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Maybe they can figure out another spot/venue or solution to make the fight happen in the same state because this fight has a lot of money already at stake.

Wouldnt imagine Tyson needs publicity but its free so why not and being heard of recently helps to sell and getting noticed on whatever product or brand you are trying to raise the profile of.  I doubt it was Tysons decision himself no doubt he has a PR team.   Glad he doesnt have to fight really, if he was serious about the drug problems it sounds like he just needs to stay calm and cool so he can enjoy his well earned retirement.   He should be fine to earn enough to be well off forever on his reputation in theory though he took bad actions no doubt.

In the meantime, PR is working - this thread is becoming the most popular on the topic of boxing (5 pages left before the record) and this is surprising since we still do not know the exact date of the fight and even confirmation that it will take place at all  Many active professional boxers would envy such attention.
