Aston Villa continue their fine run of form into the FA cup as they currently leads Tottenham at away from home by two goals to nil. Am really surprised by the way that, Tottenham is approaching this game because considering the fact that, Tottenham is not doing well in the league one will think that they will take this FA cup game seriously by putting up a good performance but from what am seeing them playing in this game at home their is no level of seriousness on their own end.

Despite being the away team, Aston Villa are currently leading by a  2:1 scoreline against Tottenham Hotspur. I think it's time we begin to take the Aston Villa side more serious. They've been incredibly good this season but because they're not one of traditional top six teams in the league for the last 2 decades, they've not been getting the attention they deserve from us. Tottenham is doing their best to draw level but Aston Villa has been the better side and isn't allowing that happen. I won't be surprised if this Unai Emery team wins a trophy this season because they actually deserve to win one

Manchester City took today's game very seriously, even though they didn't field all their best players from the start. The players who did start played very seriously, perhaps wanting to please the coach so that he would begin to see them as valuable players to include in the starting eleven, given their high number of goals.

Is it that their opponents are performance was so poor that they couldn’t even play a defensive game from the beginning till the ending to reduce the number of goals they are going to concede, or maybe they were thinking they will be able to win Manchester city.

I knew Manchester city will win today, and everyone believe they going to win today because they playing against a weaker opponent, but scoring 10 goals is just what I feel is just too much, and most people never expected that.

Didn't watch the game of course, it was a decent Palace team so it is quite surprising that their overall xG was 0.65 - meaning that they weren't even unlucky, just terrible.

Palace is in shitty form recently though, and there's still some magic left in most of the early rounds of the FA Cup. Fiar play Macclesfield, well deserved.

I also wouldn't call it as biggest upset ever. Yes, reigning champions eliminated in 1st round by non-League team sounds unbeleavable. But with all respect, that's just Crystal Palace, not City, Liverpool or Arsenal. But I don't want to understimate what Macclesfield did because they made history that they could tell to their grandson after 40 years.

Exeter City is a league one place club and  absolutely no match for a top tier club like Manchester city team who plays in top European competitions. It was a kind of training game for the Cityzens which was why they were able to succeed at scoring 10 goals in the game. It wasn't about Exeter City not having a strong defence but they were just unmatched for the rival they had

They were nothing short of it. I couldn’t imagine what I was looking at up to the point that, they forced out 2 own goals in quick succession from Exeter City all within the first half. We certainly wouldn’t find Manchester City with this kind of performance in the EPL, even with teams around relegation zone.

Chelsea have out done themselves in this round, beating Charlton Athletic to a 5:1 goal victory. The first goal by Hato was shocking but, he executed it perfectly, sending it right into the roof.

You are right about Aston Villa because they have been outstanding in the past few years and big teams has been finding it difficult to win them easily so it's not surprising that they won Tottenham in the FA Cup match today. Unai Emery have really rebranding Aston Villa because since he became the club's head coach, Aston Villa has not finished below the 7th position and this season it's very possible that they can finish within the top 4 positions. This season, Tottenham have been struggling in most of their matches and they are not stable in their form so Aston Villa was just the favorite team in this FA Cup 3rd round match.

Aye, Aston Villa reminds me of the time when Leicester City unexpectedly took the Premier League by storm in the 2015-2016 season. They came from the relegation straight to the Champions League. The legacy they kept remains intact to this day. The same way they were not taking it seriously is the same way, football fans are not taking Aston Villa seriously. But Aston Villa looks dangerous. Even if Tottenham has not been in its best form for the past three years, I still think Aston Villa is a much better team and a strong competitor for titles this season.

I did not watch the game but the scoreline is hilarious. What a welcome for Semenyo, glad to see he’s already scoring for the team. Exeter City managed to score a goal in the end, I guess 10-1 is better than 10 nil. 2 top London clubs were kicked out of the tournament yesterday, we say both crystal palace and Tottenham ending the tournament very early, well that of Tottenham is a bit understanding because they played a very good and inform side, but still at that spurs should have done better. Well their home foam have been a big problem since the beginning to the season. Palace were kicked out by a 6th division side which was the biggest upset in the round 3.

Chelsea and Fulham had a good game yesterday, Chelsea faced charlton and but 5 goals pass them while Fulham put 3 goals pass middleborough.

Today arsenal will play against Portsmouth and for sure it should be walk in the park for the gunners. It been a good season for arsenal and we all expect them to go far in the emirate cup.

You are right, I have noticed the changes in this kind of matches as compared to the ones of the league, they most times bring in players that do not even play in the premier league with just few players from the league, this happens mostly when they are playing against championship or league one teams but if it is against fellow Premier league team, they will use their best players.
