One thing I know is that no matter how big a team is a small team can always win them if they are determine to do that Crystal palace is not even that a big club so I’m not even surprised that they lost the match. They are prepared for them and that was why they were able to win them. However, Palace needs to really step up because they are not performing well enough.

Irony in the game was that Palace held this record before this game, from all the way back in 1909. There were 117 teams between these two clubs in pyramid, and Palace still managed to lose, the last years FA cup winners ended up losing to a team that nobody even expected to see here. In any case, I am sure Palace would be fine with this, they are not really expected to win anyways, that was a fluke last year and they should just get back on the field and hope for the best.

And some of the clubs that is doing perfectly well are from premier league, because what I saw from Manchester city yesterday to secured 10 goals from one game to secure 3 points show that the club that will lift this trophy must be from premier league. Even Chelsea club that lose their potential coach few days ago won their game too to make their fans know that there are still potential players in Chelsea, becauseyou can only find strong clubs that are active of achieving victory in premier league..

If you watch other tournament apart from this FA CUP where all premier league clubs are doing well, you will discovered that majority of clubs in that tournament toping the table of other tournament are from premier league, and they will surely make it happen this season to make sure this trophy will not escape premier league clubs.

They can still be saved but there are lots ot steps to take first. But will the owners realize this though? I don't see that light in them considering they don't get patient with coaches most of the time.

Ugarte and Dalot gave us watching this match a clear message that the midfield is poor and the right side is also poor. Whoever becomes Manchester United's head coach, the management must be willing to spend big money on a overhaul.

Lammens made a mistake. Dalot just ran around the entire match. Ugarte panicked in executing his duties, failing to stop the attack launched by Brighton's players. Everything went wrong.

This is definitely not the result that every Manchester United supporter would have been expecting but although they've been knocked out from the Emirates cup, There are some positive things that they can draw from this game against Brighton which is the fact that the striker Benjamin Sesko is now delivering goals and slowly gaining his confidence. After helping United get one goal back, he was close to scoring another. I wished he did, because if he had, and his goal had been the one to take the game to extra time and finally United make it through, he would have been more celebrated and his goals more significant. That would have rocketed his confidence.

Although Brighton is not an easy opponent but at least they would have shown a little improvement by going to extra time before giving up, because they have more stand in the FA cup than any other league but right now they don't have any were to lay hands.

Just wow, it just Half of the season and Manchester United are out of all possible competition except for the premier league, they are currently not playing in any European competition, nor any domestic league which is ver bad for them. They were being knocked out of the Emirate FA cup today at home by Brighton. Like the way Manchester United keeps lowing down the standard it just unbelievable. Well it will only be very poor of them if they still fails to get a champions league football next season.

With them just playing once a week I think they should have that enough time to rest, recover and prepare for the next game. The way things are going at Manchester United I think if they fails to get a champions league spot they might lose out on the few quality players they have left in the team.

United crashing out at this stage is good for them especially because they don't have a manager and need to rebuild the team with whoever will be incharge, already with the absence of Ahmad and Mbeumo has really exposed how weak the team is and needs something done about it like yesterday!!!

I'm not blaming Jim Ratcliffe for sacking Ruben Amorim because I personally think his time at the club was over as he's gotten enough time to improve the team's overall result couldn't. Ratcliffe's blame I think is sacking Ruben Amorim when he's not made preparations on who'll replace the Portuguese manager. I'm not gonna make no excuses for Ruben Amorim because had all that was needed to bring a positive improvement to the team but failed. I don't know how long it'll take for Manchester United to return to their best again but I know it'll surely happen someday.

You're right no team that is above losing, but truth be told crystal palace had the chance of winning their previous match but i don't know what came over them either. The thing is i did not check to see if they play with full squared because i noticed that most of the premier league teams don't take this trophy very serious, so this would make them not to go with full squared they might decide to reserve some players or even use their second eleven. But that's not a good thing to do, all the trophies need to be take very serous even if it is the least trophy because they are not even sure of anyone .

Manchester United gave Amorim enough time and he didn't do anything. Even if he was allowed to continue as Manchester United coach they would have still lost this match. Amorim as Manchester United coach can you remember how many times they lost at Old Trafford? They have lost good numbers of games so I won't criticise Manchester United for doing away with Amorim. The truth is just that Manchester United are not well, they are not in good shape that's why they lost it wasn't about Amorim remaining as the manager or not. They should take heart and move on to the next match were they are probably going to lose again. Because their next match in the premier league is the Manchester derby.

The match schedule is so intense that big teams often field a reserve squad for FA Cup matches. Or they might play a few key players and bring in the rest from the bench. This is because the Premier League is a more important tournament for them. When they are still in contention in the Premier League, they earn more revenue and team prestige. That's why surprising results are so common in these matches. That's why watching cup matches is so enjoyable.

The big teams are winning by a huge margin, the game is not competitive at all. It seems to be going one-sided, in this FA Cup I see important players sitting on the bench because the team thinks and competes like that, the opposing team is keeping the strong and aggressive players on the bench because they are weak and taking them on for a while.
Or if the top attacking players enter the field from the beginning for the team's benefit, then when the team is sure to win, they send the players out and give the normal players a chance to play.

It keeps getting worse and worse for the red side of Manchester that whenever a new record is being set, it is always a negative one that has never happened in the club history for a while. With the look of things, I don't think the management are currently looking for a long/short term solution to all this mess. They've been in this same problem for the past few seasons with zero improvement. The truth is, they're very far from talking about anything that is trophy related at the moment. They need to spend more time with their building process, and stop finding managers that can only make attempts to win a single trophy, while leaving the club in mud after a short period.

You are right, I have noticed the changes in this kind of matches as compared to the ones of the league, they most times bring in players that do not even play in the premier league with just few players from the league, this happens mostly when they are playing against championship or league one teams but if it is against fellow Premier league team, they will use their best players. That is what I have noticed from this kind of matches.

AFAIK, teams that are currently active in too many competitions have to do this, so as to rest the legs of their key players. Teams that don't feature in too many competitions for the season always play their best players in every single game. We don't expect a team like Manchester City or Arsenal, who're are still available in every single competition, to play their best 11 in every single game, be it against a top side or not. There is a need for squad rotation.
