Don't conclude so fast on that game as football has different ways of surprising us in games considered as work in the part games like that of Arsenal and wigan. Judging from consistency, wigan can never be compared to Arsenal in all rectifications as arsenal is recognized as one of the most consistent team in the world now which we all know while wigan is not seen even among there level.

The difference in the quality of players in the two teams has shown in the scoreline in the first half with Arsenal already having four goals and Wigan struggling to score one. This game was not hard to predict, the winner was always obvious, many of us watching the game are just trying to see how Arsenal react after just failing to get all points in their last Premier League game. It is a good reaction so far, and keeps things positive for the team as they head to their next game in the Premier League against Wolves.

If they didn't react in a good way, reassuring the fans and pulling off the pressure away from themselves, which they still need to further up against wolves like you said in their next EPL match, especially for the struggle against the 1st position, then we would be convinced that they're just on another session of their usual plague. 4 goals against Wigan athletic was a bad outcome at all, and I wasn't expecting any less of their performances in that match..

Just that they need the same energy in the major leagues as well... Right now, anymore losses for them and Man City takes over the top list. We all know they're not easy to pull back when that usually happens right?

Happy to see that Liverpool won comfortably. In times like this when Liverpool do well, I take pleasure in it because there have been tough pills to swallow this season as a Liverpool fan. Brighton did put up a fight earlier in the first half but it's as if when the Liverpool goals started coming in, they gave up. Still, it's sorcery how Arne slot wins games that might get him sack and draws or loses other games that have little or no importance.  Amazing.

I hope they take this kind of victory back to the Premier League because they need more there now that they are able to score goals despite not having more control of the ball, every Liverpool fan should be happy this days when they win because it's really been a difficult season for them despite the number of players they signed after winning the league. From the performance of Liverpool it seems like the coach is lacking some technical experience in his coaching job may be he should be given more games to see if he can win those games to save his job.

If things continue to go this way then Liverpool would either end the season at the champions League spot which I believe is their top most goal at the moment because I don't consider Liverpool as a potential league contender this season.

I confess I wanted to bet on more than 3 goals, but I thought the Arsenal players would play cautiously in this game to conserve their energy and avoid injuries. To my surprise, the Arsenal players played as usual and won overwhelmingly. Wigan had the misfortune of facing Arsenal.

The last time Arsenal reached the 6th round in the FA Cup was the last time they won the Cup, that’s why Arteta was really serous this season, he wanted to avoid ending this season without a single trophy that’s why they took this match very serious.
However, I think Arsenal as a team all have that wining mentality among the players, so all of them wanted to end Arsenal’s record of nothing in their trophy galaxy for sometime now and I think this can happen this season.

I quite agree with you on this, its nice to see Liverpool back to their usual form after such a long period of struggles which has messed up their season and also threatened Arne Slot's job, I think there is a sigh of relief at anfileld seeing that Liverpool have returned back to a relative good form, recording winnings and scoring lots of goals once again.

The win will definitely help Liverpool to boost their morale and help them in their upcoming games in the league where they really need to work on their performance because it's so bad they are struggling to win this period when everyone expected them to be title contenders, after watching them win I think they can go back to do the same in the league at least if they can not win the league it it be that they managed to qualify for the champions League next season.

Arteta has a good chance to win even multiple trophies this season indeed. They are in the finale of EFL Cup and maintaining their presence in all other tournaments together with fighting for the Premier League championship.

Winning all of these tournaments is just a dream to me though. It is never easy to handle so many places at once. But I guess this still wouldn't end up very sadly for him. They are performing better than last season in general.

Normally this should be an easy win for them. It's an easy qualification because Wigan are a small team. I feel where this competition will begin to get harder will be during the quarter finals, because we still have strong teams like Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea. To me I don't think Arsenal will be capable to win all trophies this season, its either they win the Carabao cup or FA, they can't win the two. This season will put Arteta Faith at the club to test because of he was to go trophyless again after spending a lot during the summer, he might get sacked. So he will be looking for ways to save his job and I know that his main focus is on that premier league title.

Definitely Arteta's primary goal for Arsenal is the League Cup, a goal they've been pursuing for years.
Arsenal are currently doing well in all leagues and cups. Arteta's hard work is undeniable there might have been some bad luck, as in previous seasons, but everything is going well this season.
Hopefully, it won't change and they'll continue like this. They deserve it now if not this season, then when?

Haha, of course we are happy for days like yesterday because we have seen worse days this season. But its a mystery how Liverpool can score plenty of goals in other competitions but when to the premier league teams, they struggle very hard to score a goal and when they do, they'll work overtime to protect that one goal lead. Also, I don't like the fact that Slot constantly wins whenever he's on the verge of being sacked.

As for the reasons behind Arsenal's inability to score more goals after the first half, its so because of the tactical changes made before the end of first and also some fault from wigan's side.  There is one thing I do day, know matter how consistent once opponent is it is never a good Reason to write oneself off with believe you can't do anything to the opponent. When the game started, wigan players underestimated themselves believing they are know where close to there opponents arsenal in quality, consistency and so on Which made arsenal dominated them without any sign of relief till the end of the first half. In the second half of the game when wigan players played with composure and balance it was not easy again for Arsenal.

They still played good till the end of the game, just that they weren’t able to get another goal because I think the Wigan Athletic defenders were more serious after they conceded four goal in just 27 minutes.

I’d like to see Arsenal win the FA Cup, Premier League, EFL and the Champions League altogether this season but this totally depends on how consistent they’re with their performance..

This is a fair draw I must say, but I know that Manchester United fans are not happy with the draws because they will be anticipating any big team to get eliminated to join them out there, but seeing how almost all the big teams are paired with small teams which will make them unhappy for now, but I am sure by next round the fixtures will be a bit tougher than this one because only Manchester City got paired with Newcastle United which is the only tough game in my opinion.

Furthermore, Southampton Ve Fulham will also be another tough match that will be like a Premier League standard even though Southampton is not in the premier league this season.
