They scored 4 goals in the first 27 minutes and there were no goals for the rest of the match. In matches that start so fast, it suddenly slows down and no goals are scored. This always seems very strange to me. Anyway, the important thing is to eliminate the opponent, and I understand that the teams don't push too hard. Arteta played most of his key players again. He showed that he valued this match and the cup. They gave Wigan no chance.
i actually expected Mikel Arteta to field a less quality team in their English FA Cup game against Wigan but it seems the Spanish manager is very much determined to win as many trophies as he's participating in this season which I think is a very entertaining thing for the Arsenal fans whose been enduring trophyless seasons in recent time. Wigan are known to be giant killers when it comes to the FA Cup competition but they didn't get the chance of stopping Arsenal in that game. Impressive result for Arsenal who has an EPL game to play this midweek.

I just believe it's unfair on Manchester city to be drawn against a Newcastle team that's very strong. I just believe that certain club like Arsenal are just being aided to make they keep competing in all competitions so they will stand the chance of winning something this season. Make it make sense that they played Wigan in the previous round now they are going to face even a weaker opponent in the next round. What happened to facing a premier league clubs? Manchester city faced Salford in previous round now they face a stronger side in the next round. Same should be applied to other clubs too.
Did you actually just type this? Do you even know how draws are made, or you just think a team of folks sits in an office and just creates the fixtures of the teams playing in the next round?

I am no fan of Arsenal, but your opinion is just bitter. Opponents are picked up through a random draw and nothing else. Manchester City should beat Newcastle United if they have a dream of winning FA this season.

Fifth rounds draw are already announced, it's going to be interesting as just Newcastle United is going to face Manchester City, mostly other big teams are having weaker opponents which will keep them in event for having big games in upcoming round and semifinals.

Liverpool will be visiting Wolves while Chelsea is going to visit Wrexham Premier league leaders will be Mansfield, these are big games after that Fulham will be hosting Southampton while Leeds United will face Norwich City, struggling West Ham is having challenge from Brentford, last pair is winner from Port Vale or Bristol City will host Sunderland.

My predicted teams for last eight are Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Leeds United, Manchester City, Fulham, Brentford and Sunderland, what are yours?

My predicted teams for last eight are Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Leeds United, Manchester City, Fulham, Brentford and Sunderland, what are yours?
My prediction is the same as yours, as the opponents are very weak. The most interesting match is undoubtedly Newcastle United vs. Manchester City, as I predict it will be a tight contest since the FA Cup doesn't use a home-and-away format. For Manchester City, this tournament is crucial, as their only chances of winning a trophy this season seem to be the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup. Yes, Manchester City still has a chance to win the Premier League title, but it seems unlikely given Arsenal's strong performance. Therefore, Manchester City will be giving their all in this tournament to win the trophy.

The draw for the FA cup is out already and I am looking forward to the match between Newcastle and Manchester City,  because I think that will be the most interesting match in this round. The match will be very hard to predict,  but I can't wait to see which of the teams will go through. I expect Liverpool,  Arsenal and Chelsea to advance to the next round, but this is football and anything can happen.

Brentford won yesterday's match against Macclesfield, which came as no surprise. Brentford struggled to score in this match. Although they managed to have more possession than their opponents, they were not very effective in front of goal. Brentford won thanks to an own goal by Sam Heathcote and advanced to the next round. The only remaining match in this round is the Port Vale-Bristol City fixture, which will be played on 3 March.

Interested fifth round match of FA Cup I think Newcastle United vs Manchester City, after eliminating by Man City at EFL Cup match in semifinal round now Newcastle United have to face the Citizen again in FA Cup match. Not easy match for Newcastle for revenge their loss in EFL Cup match and likely Manchester City will qualify to next round.
My prediction team will qualify next round from Liverpool, Arsenal, Fulham, Leeds United, Chelsea and West Ham because most of them face the lower division or level competition teams from Championship until League one teams.

My pity goes to Newcastle. They have faced Manchester City three times this season, and more to come. First leg in the EPL, first and second leg in the Carabao cup semi-final, where City won all games. Coincidentally, Newcastle have to face Manchester City again in the 5th round of the FA Cup and one last time in the Premier League, making it the 5th time this season. Newcastle has to win at least one game or get a draw. Manchester City must not win them in all five encounters.

How can they survive Manchester City during the weekend in the Premier League, they will be meeting Manchester City at the Etihad, i don't expect Newcastle to win anyone, not especially in the Premier League while they play far from home, also looking at the table getting close to each other, it's an opportunity for City to remain at a reasonable pace watching when Arsenal will lose again.

Not only Newcastle Vs Manchester city is seen as a tough game but also Wolves against Liverpool also looks tough, base on current Liverpool form, you can't even guarantee them winning and seeing that wolves are on the bottom of the league, basically relegation threatened, so they currently do not have hope in the premier League but may decide to put in more effort to see if they can go further in this competition and to try to achieve something.

I was expecting the same thing also but the manager don't want to take chances. All times he left the second team to play first, they don't win the game, he will be left with the option to play his best team in the 75th minutes. I think Arteta listen to the fans now. His determination to win as many trophies as he can get can be seen in the way he bury's the game during the first half. Later on, he brings in the second team to finish the game. Left for him alone he will start all games with his best players not minding which team Arsenal is to face.

I didn't expect any magic from Wigan because they don't have what it takes to withstand Arsenal pressure. Wigan might be a threat to big clubs in previous season but not this season. I was also surprised to see all Arsenal squad in that match and what came to my mind was that Arteta needs a win and he got it. However, I want to see Arsenal maintain consistency in their EPL matches in order for them to win the title.
