Tesla accepting Bitcoin payments and ..... Doge ?

We will not know what is Elon plans with those two coins but he has already made a noise in the crypto market so I guess he will make another tweet in the future.
Those two coins now become popular besides bitcoin and ethereum but if we compare with bitcoin and doge payments, I think using bitcoin as the payment will be better.
Maybe we need to wait for the next announcement from Elon or Tesla for what coins they want to use as the payment.
But I do not want to buy Tesla using bitcoin, ethereum, or other coins as crypto will be just my investment.

I hope that he doesn't move to other coins as well because he is making the crypto world a lot fragile with what he has. I get that he is not doing it because he is just happy to do it, he is doing it because he gets love back from doing it plus he makes money from it as well. However just because he could help you make some money, doesn't mean that he wants the best for you neither, he is doing it because it helps him as well, he could literally be doing a lot worse things and still be happy as long as it benefits him.

Doge and Shiba are two things that could crash at any moment, or maybe they will do 2x, nobody knows this and there is absolutely no reason to hold them neither. This is why we should be a lot more careful with them, and him pumping it causes it to be a lot worse, this is why we should be a lot more careful, because him making it viral is dangerous for the future of crypto.

Buying car with cryptocurrencies, i think something like this already happen since past when we can see there are some car dealers which accept bitcoin as payment. Maybe Tesla doing this only to hype Shiba or maybe BTC or Dogecoin or any coin that they want to made it increase again. In a way you are right but at the same time the whole purpose of advertising is to try to convince people to buy your products, outside of this market I doubt too much attention is given to this news, so we need to wonder are there a lot of people buying a Tesla with their bitcoin or dogecoin as a result of this marketing strategy? Because I doubt it, Musk missed his chance for his Tesla cars to become a staple of this market when at first he began accepting bitcoin as a payment option only to take it away a few days later on completely ridiculous grounds.

Didn't they already stop accepting bitcoin and said they will no longer do it until bitcoin mining becomes "green"? And the Doge payment thing also sounds like a stunt (or maybe true). I have heard someone found the code and the payment said "Shiba". People were starting to say that Tesla is doing this to manipulate the market and create speculation among people. Imagine people FOMOing on Doge and SHIB. That would pump the market and you know would would make all the profit and crash the market...

So it does look like Tesla is still working on their crypto payment system.  I was surprised to see they updated the code on the page once this tweet was made.  I figured this was just hangover stuff from when they were playing around with accepting crypto.  It seems like maybe they're getting ready to open the floodgates again.  Hopefully just in time for the perfect December storm we see every 4 years. 

I think the Doge stuff is a stunt and I couldn't care less about it, but I'd like to see Bitcoin being accepted.  In fact, I'd probably buy a model 3 next month if it were accepted (not that I'd get it anytime soon).

But there is the strategy. They don't need people to buy with BTC or another currency, what they wanted is for the newspapers to talk about Tesla, because along with the news they will give other information about the company that is already of general interest.

Besides, they're talking about Tesla. And people keep the name/company alive in their minds. And this can help in future decision making when buying an electric car.


I'll give you an example of a new supermarket company in Portugal. Use a similar style:
They only have stores open in one region of the country, but every time they open a new store, the news of this opening is broadcast in the country's main media outlets nationwide. Along with this news, there is always an interview given by someone from the company, who says that the company has the objective of opening stores across the country.

If you guys read Elon’s tweets back early in the year there was Bitcoin devs who were telling him that Dogecoin is a useless cryptocurrency. And he was arguing with them back and forth. For some reason he had some attachment for Doge, no clue why.

He also said he would contact the devs and fix Dogecoin. No ideal if he was involved or not but the wallet did get some updates done to it. However before all this, the coin was pretty much dead and had little development.

What would you expect? Anything could really be talked about neither an intentional one or simple cant really be avoided such discussions because it is continuous and its impossible for it on not to be talked about.

Of course every company would really be finding out ways on having exposure neither they do spend up some funds or allocation or budget or compeltely free and they do know that crypto market is a huge one and accepting those trending coins or known ones would make out some significant
noise which does simply means that it is really having some exposure.

Their marketing strategy is to get talked about, no matter what the reason (as long as it's not unclear). This allows them to spend less money on advertising.

Tesla is the best-selling electric car in virtually every country, but it's also the one with the least advertising. Why? Because it's always talked about in the media. That's your strategy.

What they are looking for is Elon to be talked about and not just Tesla. I get that most of his money comes from Tesla, owning a big part of it made him this much wealthier, and that is why everyone thinks he is doing it just for tesla.

However, remember that he has Solar City for tesla and he has SpaceX as well. That way we end up realizing that MAYBE he is doing this for all of his companies and not just one of them. He is getting more and more popular, which means that if he ever wants to do something with his other companies, and he is not allowed, then he has the backing of the population to help him as well. Dude literally sold flamethrowers to make some money, imagine how much more money he could raise.

Even doing any NFT collection would raise enough money to send another rocket to moon literally today and get it back as well, Imagine a world where you could land a space rocket to moon, then come back and then use the same rocket to go back and do this ten times cheaper than alternatives. This is possible with just one NFT collection because he is getting more popular everyday by doing things like this.

Exactly. Doge stuff is a stunt because it's been in the headlines this year. Ever since its early year pump it's been dropping in value against the rest of the market. It'll no longer be making headlines in 2022 and nobody will care about it, at least no more than people cared about it before this year. Musk is looking to squeeze the last juice out of Doge headlines while he still can.

I speculate that this is because Elon Musk missed his chance to buy bitcoin under a dollar and also missed the chance to become one of the biggest personalities and influencers of the bitcoin community. Both of those chances he missed can presently be obtained by investing and supporting an altcoin.



After six years, the Dogecoin Foundation has been re-established with a renewed focus on supporting the Dogecoin ecosystem, adding some high-profile names to its board of advisors.

According to a statement from the foundation, the board of advisors will include Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Tesla Inc CEO Elon Musk’s legal and financial advisor Jared Birchall.

Birchall, a former senior vice president at Morgan Stanley is also on the board of the Musk Foundation and manages Musk’s family office. The executive will represent Musk’s interests on the Dogecoin advisory board alongside Buterin, Dogecoin founder Billy Markus and core developer Max Keller.

Now that the Foundation has been re-launched, a structure will be put in place to hire full-time staff to work on the project. These include engineers who would work towards faster integration and easier APIs for financial, social and charitable projects wishing to use Dogecoin.

The Dogecoin Foundation also stated its intent to protect the Dogecoin brand.
