I joined this forum since September 15th but due to my health challenges I couldn’t be active to make posts daily. I feel better now and I have so many questions I want to ask to know how this whole thing works. Although I have Ethereum, a friend of mine adviced me to buy it a year ago and it is stored in my blockchain account, I see I have made profits and I’m not willing to sell it out for now so I understand the basics of how to send and receive Ethereum and Bitcoin through wallet address. But I was wondering, how do you actually get started with Bitcoin? I have read some articles about mining and the different things you can do to actually get some money in profit, but none of the articles actually go into depth with how to actually do all these things. I was wondering if anyone in the forum could help me and make any suggestions to me.

Most of the thread you need to read are the pinned thread on each board. You just need to browse the board you are interested and check pinned thread. Most of the useful threads are on pinned but you can always use the forum search bar to easily search the answer to your question. Here's the board for Bitcoin Mining: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0

Just explore the forum and do your own research. Ask only a question on this thread if you have personal question and never open a new thread. Read the rules of the forum ^

Well you asked how to get started in Bitcoin. Aside from what was mentioned below you, take note that you'll invest for a rig.
I personally never invested in a rig, and whatever side money I had for investment were all in Bitcoin. This year is crap mostly for electronics as well due to shortages of chips and stuffs.
For a starter, you should just buy Bitcoin just like how you got your Ethereum.

With any luck, I'm about to get started as well.
My advise: do a whole lot of research. Ask questions here, there's a lot of knowledgeable people willing to share.
Find courses. I got 5 courses, so far, from Udemy.com. They're cheap enough (wait until they have a sale), and are very good. I recommend "The Complete Cryptocurrency Course", by Chris Haroun, and "The Complete Cryptocurrency Investment course" and "The Advanced Cryptocurrency Trading Course - With Strategies" by Mohsen Hassan. The other 2 I haven't watched them yet...
And finally read, read, and keep reading. Read the whitepapers for the cryptocurrencies you like, go to yahoo finance, Google reviews for the cryptos you want to get, and BE CAREFUL WHO YOU TRUST. There are lots of scammers in the crypto world.

You are welcome to the community once again but i believe you have a long way to go but it's a gradual process you will get use to the community even to the cryptocurrency knowledge, you asked a question via sending and receiving  bitcoin and ETH, when you have wallet you see particular options send and receive from any of the coin you clicked on through your wallet, because we have numerous coin's and they will be in line there, so when you click it or any of the coins you will see what to do..then further educational experience, you can use YouTube videos and Google to educate yourself more, and i can see above the thread someone have dropped two different links made by Ratimov about articles of cryptocurrency that can expand your knowledge towards cryptocurrency through reading them stanzas by stanza.

But I was wondering, how do you actually get started with Bitcoin? I have read some articles about mining and the different things you can do to actually get some money in profit, but none of the articles actually go into depth with how to actually do all these things. I was wondering if anyone in the forum could help me and make any suggestions to me.

I suggest if you haven't started with bitcoin then take a break and don't invest right now. Since the price of BTC is ATH or near to that. You may check alt coins that are low in price and have good cap and volume. I wont recommend any but if you look at CMC you will find loads of such coins for long term investment.

Getting started in Bitcoin is like getting started in any venture, you need to understand what you're getting into, this involves doing your research, finding the learning method that works for you and utilizing the tools available to you, this forum is one of those tools. After learning the basics, you can choose to go deeper into some other aspect that interests you, like the technology itself, or how to invest and learn a lot about that, this way you do not get lost in that vast amount of information available to you.
Learning is a gradual process.

I suggest if you haven't started with bitcoin then take a break and don't invest right now. Since the price of BTC is ATH or near to that. You may check alt coins that are low in price and have good cap and volume. I wont recommend any but if you look at CMC you will find loads of such coins for long term investment.
So, do not invest in Bitcoin cause it's too high, rather look for another potential shitcoin based off cap and volume and invest in that whole waiting for Bitcoin to crash? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

There are many ways to earn free bitcoins but as you are interested in learning bitcoin mining particularly, I would suggest you to read these two books, which are my favorites obviously but I think you’ll love them too. These are Cryptocurrency Mining for Dummies by Peter Kent and Cryptocurrency Mining Secrets.

...I have read some articles about mining and the different things you can do to actually get some money in profit, but none of the articles actually go into depth with how to actually do all these things. I was wondering if anyone in the forum could help me and make any suggestions to me.

You have a pinned topic at the top of this board: [General] How to earn Bitcoins, where you can find additional details about the many ways to earn Bitcoins.

In my opinion, Bitcoin mining is not a viable option for individuals unless you are willing to invest significant resources in mining equipment and then spend a lot of time and money working on it. Yes, you can buy a cheap used GPU rigs or ASICs and start mining at home, but even then you have the problem of electricity consumption. The constant drain on your electric bill is the major obstacle for individuals. A more straightforward and cost-effective option is to use these funds to invest in Bitcoin directly. If you're looking for other ways of earning Bitcoin, you can do it in the same way as earning any other currencies; the best way is to provide value for other people and ask them for money in return.

In regards to your other questions as a newbie, here's an interesting topic you might find useful:

Welcome back to the forum. First of all, you need to spend more time reading forum threads. Then you would get proper knowledge from here. Good to hear you made some decent profit since the ETH price is good now. But I am a little concerned about storing your funds. There are many allegations about blockchain Wallets. I believe this web wallet won't be a true non-custodial wallet at all. Since you made a handsome profit from eth, rather than storing your funds in blockchain Wallet I will suggest buying a hardware wallet like Ledger Nano. So your funds will be under your control. Regarding mining, you should read the mining section to learn more, talk with those who are mining now. Don't invest in any so-called cloud mining scam.

The world of cryptocurrency goes beyond what we have here on the forum though, the forum offers you a best chance towards getting acquinted with the pros and cons of cryptos and the world of decentralisation.

No matter the questions you ask, I would advice that you take things little by little as they come. Do you best in frequenting the forum, taking notes and cognisance with all you come in contact with as per knowledge and apply them when you see fit/opportuned so it sticks.

The forum has got rules, familiarise yourself with them and ensure you keep to it. Thank goodness for your health and welcome back to the forum.

Some of your questions, maybe already told by: @Magicalking in the first post, maybe you can try to read around there.

OP, if you think about Bitcoin basically it's scary what else when you look at current and past prices around 2016, but all that you will get used to, day by day as time goes by, the true meaning and meaning of Bitcoin.

About the article, if you are not satisfied to find it on this forum, you can get it with a google search, you will definitely get a lot of information there, for that there is no definite concept of how to raise Bitcoin for me, over time all your questions will be answered, the bottom line: browse and read often in this forum, you will understand everything one day.

My personal experience is that I avoided mining altogether. It was too time-consuming and technologically unavailable to me. So I took time to first educate myself as much as possible and then dropped just a small amount to test the waters, and see what happens. I took it slow and steady and subsequently did not get rich but did boost my budget a bit. So the bottom line is that education comes before investing.

Jumping into the fastest means of multiplying your Ethereum coin may ruin your journey. Focus on reading new information on the forum. And in return research the web for fresh news that may interest this forum and share with us. Gambling is not bad but not advisable to you because it's not a better means of getting started. Please do not take this decision. I'm glad you've chosen not to touch your coin. If you desire to add more ethereum to the one in your wallet, Then a skill of yours can be offered on this forum and other communities like reddits and twitter. Given time you will make a good profit from your business.

Trading is not good for a beginner too. The best guide for you is here in this forum while away your time reading through them and you will have nothing to regret in this market.

Cheers.
