That 2 coins you mentioned is no question, a fundamental coin that is worth risking our money. But some small investors like to research those altcoins that are currently reached by their funds. They can buy a fraction of ETH and BNB but most of them want to buy a whole that's why they are looking for cheap coins and hope that someday, it will reach a high price.

It's a hard task but with the right research, they can pick a better one.

This is a good "start", buying btc, eth, bnb as the big trio and having them 50% and even 70% of your portfolio could be great for a long time. However, eventually you will need to invest into other things when you have more money. I am not saying do it with your first 100 dollars, but hopefully you are either rich already when you are starting, or I hope that you will become rich in crypto by investing, that is our goal isn't it?

If we can one day become that rich, then the smartest thing to do would be to diversify and in that case adding litecoin, ada, algo, cake, uni, sol, avax dot, matic or whatever people are suggesting here, just adding more will become very important. You can't just keep on investing into just 3 things and hope that you will get rich, that is a very risky move, it is smarter to diversify your portfolio, even outside of crypto investments are good as long as you invest into something with low risk.

If you are still difficult to find altcoin, I suggest you select bitcoin instead of searching the altcoin because that can make you pick the wrong coin. If you have altcoin, maybe you can analyze it to see if your altcoin has a chance to increase short or long term. For example, I have some MANA and I see MANA can increase someday, I will try to buy more at a low price. But I only buy when the price is down for more than 1-2%. However, that will depend on the coin itself because some coins can drop too far but if that coin has the chance, I will try to analyze furthermore.

I think the most profiting altcoin of the moment should be dogecoin and ethereum which are currently reacting to the market most positively at the moment. Shiba Inu tried also in the early days of this month but the deep have forced its price down significantly.

Apart from Ethereum and Binance Coin (BNB), I think Polygon (MATIC) is more profitable than Dogecoin at the moment based on the development of market conditions. Polygon (MATIC) was able to increase the percentage when Ethereum (ETH) and BNB decreased.

Not a financial advice as most people are saying whenever they are sharing their opinion. Its just my own opinion and I think these 4 are the coins that can be a good investment for the long term. Notice that they are all smart contract tokens. Its because I believe that smart contract coins are the ones that will prosper. Well, not all will survive (probably) but I think most of them will especially those at the top ones. Just see Ethereum when ICO became a hype. Many projects emerged under Ethereum Blockchain. When you are already aware of the benefits of bitcoin investments then I guess you are needlessly taking risk with your hard earned money. Yeah, in my opinion people who are not aware of the potential of bitcoin may get into altcoin investments or those greedy investors may risk in altcoins; bitcoin must be one of the greatest less risk involved investment opportunity.

You sound like you are looking for short term investment opportunity in altcoin space. You may find something like that but there will be no guarantee that you will be getting definite profits unlike how bitcoin investment are doing.

Better to stick with the top 3 crypto market's currencies only. In times of uncertainity it's not a good idea to risk money with secondary altcoins. They are highly influenced by bitcoin price, what means if bitcoin falls, they fall together, with the difference on long run they don't have the same solidity of bitcoin (and maybe ethereum).

Binance coin looks also interesting, but keep in mind it's intrinsically linked to a centralized exchange. If something on that platform goes wrong, all BNB's investors will suffer, even during a bull market where every other currencies will be green meanwhile.
