For me I think they can still do good and can improve more. They are also one of the low gas fee on L1, that can rival on eth and bsc. They just need to be more aggressive on expanding and maybe we can see it on $5 or more in the future. Not a matic fan but I just assess it based on its current position now. I am more on ftm and avax maxi anyway. Not biased om that one but matic is still sleeping in my opinion.

A big expectation for Matic but still, Matic needs to have the patience to wait for that because no matter what, Matic can move and break the high price if bitcoin price back to the right track. I have always believed in Matic and eventually it hit 2$, that's wonderful! I remain optimistic about its price in 2022 and I think that it will go up to 5$. This project followed the bullish trend that major coins have. I see this project has the capabilities to go along with the tough market competition. That growing sentiment shown to us tells us that this project has a better future. I'm not yet buying Matic ( not my priority now) but this might be considered someday. That is correct until they figure out a way to fix the congestion. I get that right now it looks like it has been over a year and it also happened in the past as well, so we keep having the same problem and we haven't seen a fix. This resulted with other projects providing an alternative solutions, we have ones like Matic that offer Layer 2, in that case you end up with dealing a lot better and quicker and pay a lot less if you are an avid user of ETH products, we also ended up with other stuff like SOL that offers much faster transactions and bigger TPS.

All of these are valid until ETH finds a way to drop the congestion and make it cheap again, I do not know how they could do it, but I know that if they ever find a way to fix it, and get the gas fees lower again then in that situation all of these "solutions" would be for nothing and will drop. That is my biggest scare for these coins.

You're right about that. MATIC's been performing well even during a bearish market in part because projects from ETH are switching over to it at a fast pace. The recent announcement of Uniswap launching on the Polygon Network had a profound effect over the cryptocurrency's price on the market.
