it means that, both our emergency funds and discreationary income are very much needed for us to acumulate Bitcoin and hodl without reconsidering our earlier stance of investing for a long-term by selling off some part of your Bitcoin.
You are right about the importance of an emergency fund but the way you convey your sentence could make a newbie to think that emergency fund isn't built from discretionary income. And your statement could mislead newbies to think that it is right to invest their emergency fund in bitcoin. This might not be what you intended to say but a newbie could mistake your words to mean that they can invest their emergency fund in bitcoin. The way we convey our words matters because it can be misinterpreted and could misinform newbies who visit here to learn about bitcoin investment.

This is why an investor should have some idea about fund management. A person who has common sense will be able to easily understand what the purpose of an emergency fund is and will never think of investing in Bitcoin with backup fund. Because after allocating a part of the money that was discretionary as an emergency fund it is not right to treat that specific fund as discretionary money for Bitcoin investment . If you separate $40 from $100 discretionary funds for an emergency fund then the purpose of that $40 has changed that is no longer for bitcoin buying money. After that if you take that backup fund and buy Bitcoin because the price of Bitcoin has decrease then you have not built an emergency fund you are just temporarily saving cash and then using it to buy Bitcoin according to the price of Bitcoin. That is not the right strategy for regular accumulation in Bitcoin for a long time. The purpose of an emergency fund is not to actually buy Bitcoin. back up fund means creating fiat savings for emergency moment so that you are not forced to sell Bitcoin. if your income temporarily decreases, family problem create , or expenses exceed income then you dont have to sell bitcoin. Without backup Bitcoin holding becomes your emergency fund and that is weak structure for long term investment. An emergency fund is created from discretionary income but once an emergency fund is created it is no longer Bitcoin buying money.

DCA might reduce the stress, but it doesn’t guarantee success in your investment. Regardless of the strategy you choose, you need to consistent with your plan. We’ve seen someone who has the mindset of using the DCA strategy, but they panic because of any changes in the market. Every success is a result of your discipline and patience, it’s not done overnight.
A method can never guarantee success but rather what will guarantee success in anything we do is how we approach things and the ability of those things to do great in the future. Just like in Bitcoin investment our success is dependent on how we approach Bitcoin with our strategy and the ability of Bitcoin potential to speedily increase in the future. If someone is using the DCA method and then due to a little change in price the person panic, it means they are not long term holder but a trader. Men! Why the panic of market change when an investor is using DCA strategy? Maybe that guy has ulterior motive to hold for only as long as there's reasonable increase or for as short time as possible although using DCA strategy. Because if the guy plans to hold for a long time then why the panic when buying is intentionally without market price consideration? Well if indeed they are actually holding for long time then all that is just busy body for nothing, that's unnecessary pressure that he knows means absolutely nothing, a waste of time and energy. Jokingly he might even be pressuring himself more than some traders and that's absolute rubbish.

Emergency funds is very essential in every bitcoin journey but we shouldn’t let that stop our kick starting our journey. As soon as you get your discretionary income, you can begin to think of setting aside your emergency funds. So maybe next try to make your word more easier for newbies to understand. Even some existing members might also misunderstand what you typing to say.

I can't agree with your comment. Because it is very natural for a new person to be afraid. A new person has never faced such a situation before and when they see their money slowly going towards loss then they will be afraid this is the case with about 80% of people. It is not that a person becomes a trader when they are afraid, that person is called a trader. The person who buys and sells in the short term is called their trader. A new person needs to build so much faith in Bitcoin at the beginning that they do not decide to sell or sell even when facing a market decline. Gradually when they start to deal with the market decline and are able to deal with a big market decline then they can increase the amount of their investment

An emergency fund is money set aside to cover unexpected medical expenses, job loss, or other unforeseen expenses. It is not a requirement or the only protection for investing in Bitcoin. The important thing in investing is to use money that you will not need in the near future and that will not cause problems with your daily life or essential expenses if its value decreases.
Having an emergency fund does not eliminate Bitcoin price fluctuations or market risk. The value of Bitcoin can drop significantly. An emergency fund should be seen as an important part of financial security. But not the only basis for investment success.
People who haven't experienced terrible events that requires an emergency fund to keep their investment safe an untouched will never understand what havong emergency fund is like, that is why some people would think they can invest in bitcoin without having emergency or they can decide to invest their emergency money. Having emergency fund will save you from spending your investment and it will prevent you from taking loan and if one should take loan it can also affects one investment. Many can relate what emergency fund means that is why they may not take it serious.

There is something you are getting very wrong here, having emergency funds is not wrong or bad but it is not a must to have before one can start their Bitcoin investment. I think this has been preached over and over again here, emergency funds is very good right but it should not stop someone from investing when they have their discretionary income already figured out.taking loan doesn't generally affect Investment but rather it can affect only when the person doesn't take it with wisdom that is when he or she doesn't have a means of repayment.

You are right on your track it's not a must to have an emergency funds at first before getting started what is important to get started is having your discretionary income then from it you can be saving up gradually for your emergency funds as you continue buying BTC. It seems to me that the part of this thread that is repeated quite frequently is that in order to get started buying bitcoin, guys need to make sure that they have discretionary funds and so whatever they invest into bitcoin in the beginning cannot be so much that it ends up exceeding their discretionary funds.. and so in that regard, they need back up funds, and their back up funds need to be at a level that is sufficient to make sure that they are not spending beyond their discretionary funds, whether they have 1 week of expenses or some other amount that they believe gives them a sufficient back up cushion. If guys are starting out investing into bitcoin and they happen to not have very much if any back up funds, then it is quite likely that they need to treat the matter of their back up funds seriously, even though merely based on their having low back up funds, they should not necessarily be discouraged from getting started buying bitcoin, and it seems that over and over in this thread, guys (including yours truly) have encouraged getting started buying bitcoin as soon as feasible and as soon as discretionary funds can be verified to exist. At the same time, there can be both an emphasis to get started buying bitcoin and also a recognition that back up funds need to be built simultaneously in order that guys do not end up having to tap into their bitcoin at a time that is not completely of their own choosing. There is also a recognition in this thread that newbies to bitcoin might still not know much about bitcoin, so they may well be learning about bitcoin and investing into bitcoin on a regular and ongoing basis at the same time, and it seems that as guys learn about bitcoin, they should come to the realization that bitcoin is an investment and not a trade or a gambling asset, and so in that regard, if they really come to realize that bitcoin is an investment for 4-10 years or longer, then one the principle ways to provide protection from having to sell bitcoin at a time that is not of their own choosing is to ongoingly be building up back up funds so that if there ends up being circumstances in which income goes down and/or expenses go up, then the back up funds could be drawn upon and the bitcoin could be safeguarded.. unless matters end up being so bad that the back up funds end up getting depleted. So yeah, back up funds are important, especially for guys who are starting out investing into bitcoin without any, yet at the same time, if they have discretionary funds on a regular basis, then they should be able to figure out how to build their bitcoin investment (stack size) and to build up their back up funds at the same time...and in reasonable ways that are tailored to their individual circumstances.

1) Self-Custody is a right. Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Exactly, I agree with you 100% on this point and I would like to remind again new investors not to think that they should completely stop buying Bitcoin until they have sufficient emergency savings. Another thing is that if you have discretionary funds, you can start Bitcoin accumulation, but that does not mean that you should pour all your discretionary money into Bitcoin, at the same time you should create a backup or emergency fund. Again, it is not necessary to stop buying Bitcoin until you have a large emergency fund, so both can go hand in hand.

Investors cannot survive without an emergency fund. If they invest for the long term, I think with an emergency fund they will be able to maximize their investment survival time. Moreover, what investors often do is save the amount they will have as an asset for their future. However, imagine that without a handle and preparation through an emergency fund, their investment journey will be shortened and they cannot continue as usual namely long-term. Doing it simultaneously depends on the parties involved and what often happens in investing is that they have doubts if they don't have the main or basic capital so that in the end their goal of starting is hampered by the reason or excuse of thinking too much about the first method, namely having to have emergency funds first.

Gradually when they start to deal with the market decline and are able to deal with a big market decline then they can increase the amount of their investment Fear is a natural phenomenon, feeling some kind of fear for a newbie is normal but what matters is what happens after the emotion, if you take action and sell … you’re panic selling and it’s either you didn’t invest with your discretionary money or you don’t trust bitcoin. Why people think that most of the people who sell are traders is because most of the time they’re actually traders who just gamble on price action. It is acceptable for a newbie to start investing with small amounts of his discretionary income until he’s confident enough or knows enough to invest big amounts so to avoid panicking and selling when he’s not supposed to. That’s why the phrase “invest with what you can afford to lose” is very relevant.

Again, it is not necessary to stop buying Bitcoin until you have a large emergency fund, so both can go hand in hand. For beginners, it is very important to understand this balance, there is no point in unnecessarily delaying investment when both can be done at the same time, that is, both investment and emergency fund can be done at the same time. It is very important to ensure that the investment should be done correctly, so that there is no lag in any area and there is no weakness. Until a full emergency fund is created through proper management, we can use the discretionary income in half for creating an emergency fund and keeping the investment running. It is the right decision to take both forward together, and importance should be given to both. Those who are not careful about finances, they face big problems in the future and there they also face big financial losses, and at such a stage, the investment is also likely to be completely destroyed, because in such a situation they may have to sell their entire investment. And therefore, the emergency fund should also be given importance, but it should not be taken wrongly, because creating an emergency fund before investing is just a waste of time, rather create both together.

For sure there are people that thinks that they can't buy bitcoin in fractions because they lack the basic knowledge about bitcoin. This is the reason why it is good to make research because I believe by making research we can be able to get the basic idea about bitcoin investment. There are people that don't know that they can be able to accumulate bitcoin in units or parts because they have limited knowledge about bitcoin. Therefore, there is need to always make research to get the basic idea about any investment in other not to wallow under ignorance.
I believe that without research, the same thing will always happen, always failing to understand the purpose of interpreting fractions when buying Bitcoin. Research aims to better understand our future plans. Therefore, after understanding your stated goals, I'm very optimistic about conducting research. Our experience and understanding will improve our ability to navigate any challenges we face in Bitcoin investment. Experience provides us with sufficient knowledge to avoid mistakes in our investment goals. Therefore, research is necessary to achieve optimal results. Proper research and understanding are the key differences between an ordinary investor and a disciplined investor. Investing without proper research is basically gambling. When the market is very volatile, proper knowledge protects the investor from unnecessary fear or excessive greed. Even if technological changes occur, research keeps you prepared in advance to deal with potential risks. If an investor's objective is to hold their investment for a long time and is ready to continue investing by taking on all the challenges of the market, then what kind of research do you mean? You might answer that research means when to buy and when to sell, but if I invest for a long time from my place, I will not think about selling in advance, but I will only focus on how to increase my portfolio. For example, suppose I am starting to invest and in the beginning I am investing little by little and moving forward, but gradually I increased my investment amount with practical ideas about investment (now increasing investment does not mean that I am taking extra pressure, rather I will always invest from discretionary income and someone else will advise me to invest in this way). Now if I continue investing continuously with discretionary income, then what kind of research do I actually need about investment.

The essence of doing your own research is to be more informed in what ever you wanted to do, but it is not the yardstick for those that want to invest in Bitcoin, because if you want to invest in Bitcoin, all you just need is to figure out your discretionary income, which is the funds that is left after all your basic needs have been met. So once you can sort that out, starting your accumulation right away is the best way forward. The rest of other knowledge like what you need to do to be able to develop a strong holding hands, like putting down emergency and reserve funds to protect your bitcoin investment can be attained when you are already in the act of accumulating, not by slowing yourself down by seeking more knowledge without starting your accumulation.

Waiting for emergency funds before investing in bitcoin is not actually wise if someone has a discretionary income to start with. and secondly, discretionary income is money meant for our bitcoin i mean for someone who is into bitcoin and of this note, i do not think there is something wrong is someone decide to go all in with their discretionary since it is money they can afford to lose. the only time it will not be advisable is when someone try to use their expense money to go all in because there is dip, is very wrong.

Every time you use your discretionary income for Bitcoin investment, it will be easier for you to keep your Bitcoin investment for a long time if you use discretionary income and build an emergency fund. Because every person must follow a strategy to maintain his Bitcoin investment, because by following a strategy, it is very easy to maintain Bitcoin investment. However, it is better to use this fund as an emergency fund only to protect the Bitcoin investment from any danger. Apart from this, if someone uses the emergency fund for any other purpose, then it is outside the decision of strategy.

[Edited out] So yeah, back up funds are important, especially for guys who are starting out investing into bitcoin without any, yet at the same time, if they have discretionary funds on a regular basis, then they should be able to figure out how to build their bitcoin investment (stack size) and to build up their back up funds at the same time...and in reasonable ways that are tailored to their individual circumstances.
Emergency funds are very important for long-term investments because they ensure continuity of investment and help investors solve problems without having to sell their investments suddenly. However, when starting or continuing an investment, there is actually no such condition that an investor cannot continue the investment if he does not have an emergency fund. Now, if an investor has a good discretionary income or has money left over after meeting all his needs, then he can continue the investment without preparing an emergency fund. The inevitable things to continue investing are a consistent and reliable source of income, setting aside money according to his needs and investing with discretionary income, as well as planning to continue the investment for a long time. When an investor makes all these plans and moves forward with investment, he will not have to face much obstacle in continuing the investment because he understands his income and expenses and then makes the investment decision. And discretionary income is important in continuing investments because this money is the money left over after meeting all needs. Therefore, if the investor continuously invests a portion of this money, then just as he will not face any difficulty in running his family, he will also not face any problem in continuing his continuous investments.

it means that, both our emergency funds and discreationary income are very much needed for us to acumulate Bitcoin and hodl without reconsidering our earlier stance of investing for a long-term by selling off some part of your Bitcoin.
Why do I feel that you're unnecessarily misunderstanding yourself, although I get your point, but if someone can read through what I said with the aim of grabbing to point and the message, I don't see anything that's confusing in my text, discretionary income is for Bitcoin investment, emergency funds is for the protection of our Bitcoin when emergencies occur, so there nothing to worry about, I put it that way, but my intention was never to confuse anyone, although you're right, some write-up might me confusing to some people unless in a situation like this when the writer has explain what he meant.

Waiting for emergency funds before investing in bitcoin is not actually wise if someone has a discretionary income to start with. and secondly, discretionary income is money meant for our bitcoin i mean for someone who is into bitcoin and of this note, i do not think there is something wrong is someone decide to go all in with their discretionary since it is money they can afford to lose. the only time it will not be advisable is when someone try to use their expense money to go all in because there is dip, is very wrong. part of the reason why is not advisable to use all your discretionary income to buy and invest in bitcoin is because you’ll need some for emergency funds, back up funds and other nonessential spendings. Even though it’s a discretionary income I can’t tell you I’m using all of it to buy bitcoin because I have other discretionary spending although most of it I know I can boycott them because it’s simply optional but you can’t try to boycott an emergency funds or even a back up or reserve funds. Instead of going all in with your discretionary income it will be wise for such an investor to allocate part of his discretionary income into accumulating bitcoin and the other part for his emergency funds and other backup funds to keep him afloat in the long term investment.
