I know that being honest is the best thing on this world but there are instances or situations which you cant really able to avoid or something that you cant do anything about it.

The only ones who could help you out is Primedice team itself on which they are the ones who do could get those info. If I were you then better move on and cherish out that 3.8 btc tip.

This might sound a little bit being greedy but don't look for someone who hadn't been bothering on getting those funds back.

No, if you do not recover the user username by your self (or from primedice admins at least) in manner you're sure of it, better keep aside the money.

But better ask this in the primedice forum itself because someone may know that kind of username.
Try also asking in the chat box about that name. But be careful of fraudsters that will claim his identity.

I'm the third one to notice that, that's a year of waiting and finding that guy, you are so rich if you did have the temptation to cash it out it's 3.8 BTC, I'll understand if it's only $300, but that's 3.8 that's $179k and if it was sent by mistake sending that huge amount the sender should be the one to look who he sent it to, if your story is true then he really meant to send it, you should post your screenshot because your story is incredible

In one way it makes me feel he's such a kind hearted person, because no one will find a way to return back a huge amount of 3.8BTC in today's price. This is more than enough to survive lifetime for a man in my country.

On the other side receiving it in a account in 2020 and he hasn't using that account anymore. Now it's almost 2022 trying to return it back seems like having a good play using the funds and trying to return the capital. Whatever if he wants to send it back he needs to access the previous account, and it is possible to find the username. With that he can contact the person and make the transaction. If the person isn't responding just enjoy.

I kinda feel the same way but I also felt that Op might be gone searching for it for years or so or whatever his reason is I take this as a grain of salt. You never know if that someone was still hoping to find it although this story is a bit late so I don't know if there's a thread somewhere here who have sent a BTC to a wrong address.

If it's true be careful who you trusted to send it too since there's no reliable source yet that someone has lost that big BTC.

Good to be honest man but if you see the user send you a message towards that accident sending you a huge tip then return it back directly to him but make sure he provide the address where he send the amount to you so that you can verify that he is the real one not the fake claiming that is his money. But anyways if you feel guilty for that amount better keep it for a while and wait for the rightful owner to contact you since primedice didn't share some vital information of their costumers to other people.

@OP for what it's worth I suggest being cautious. if this story of yours is true I am pretty sure someone would send a PM to you pretending to be the person you are looking for or pretending that they know the person you are looking for. I am curious, what's on the link I can't seem to access the image.

No offense to you OP but from what I read and understand your thread I felt doubt if you are telling the truth or that you are lying, cause it's about a year ago that someone mistakenly sends you a tip and you are not stating it clearly.  What day or months do you know that you have given that amount?
I don't think so if that person did not make a way to contact you as it was A mistake. But if you telling the truth then good to know that you have made a way to give the BTC back even if it takes more than a year.

I've seen several things like this, where scammer A is posturing as a lucrative scam target. Then scammer B comes in, in this case would create an account like iiiily and try claim the money. Then scammer A would then lead B on and get him to do something stupid (either send some money, or often these type of scams involve asking for screensharing).

The real question though, is it morally ok to scam a scammer?

If this is true, try to recover your earlier account first. It is a good start. You'll definitely find the username there and probably his/her message, too, that he/she accidentally sent you a huge amount of tip and that he/she badly needs it back.

I'm not so sure about this. OP will have to go through support. And if the support cannot even give OP the username of the person who gave OP the tip, support could probably not handle this as well. And that's 3.8BTC we're talking about, roughly $180,000. That's too large an amount to entrust to anybody who claims admin.
