Which one has a Ethereum-like potential?

Humm, there was a lot of speculation after EOS, TRX was born and many people predicted them to be ETH killers.  However, so far all developments as well as speculative behavior are still standing and intact for the top 1 altcoin market.  The explosion of scalable altcoins in the last 2 years such as Avax, Dot, Luna, BNB shows that they are maturing and evolving but sustainability over time is the constant development that characterizes them competition.  I guess Luna or Avax will have a very good potential to compete and grow like ETH in the future.

The thing about EOS and Tron is that they were both once big, but today they are not anymore and they are not doing that great. I am not saying that they will stay this way but it is clear to me that we are looking at two things that could have been great and had immense potential and just screwed it.

I mean if they were really good, they would have been in the top 5 right now, because they were loved that much and the future looked that great for them. Nowadays, we see ADA without even having a proper smart contract deal above TRON and that should tell you all you need to know about it. If they keep this up, eventually they both will be out of top 100.

I chose Matic. There is 1 main advantage of MATIC being listed on Coinbase, No.1 exchange in America's. For now, Matic is entering a price discovery period looking for all-time highs and if trading NFT on the matic network, gas costs are cheap and affordable for users.

I agree, Matic is indeed very prominent and deserved, because he provides a low-priced exchange and becomes one of the targets. we know that the problem is that matic is on the ethereum network as well and if only ethereum 2.0 can be displayed this year, we can be sure that matic will fade by itself and will be abandoned.
because everything will return to the network that has been abandoned because of high costs, so matic will enter a dilemma in the future if there is no new innovation.

It has been a long time since people use matic and they already build a strong connection to each other and it's not going to be easy for them to leave matic behind and if ever eth returns to normal I think matic's fee is still twice cheaper compare to it and besides a lot of people have already hated eth because it's been a long time since eth said that they will release its eth 2.0 update but there is no updates that came it until now.

This is one of the reason why they won't go back to eth even if things will get back to normal. I only need to clear out that eth was not an abandoned coin, eth is still functional and there are still people that uses eth until now. Only people that leave are mostly poor people because they cant now afford the fees in eth.

All of the projects you have on your list are better than Ethereum but ETH is now more reliable than all new smart contract projects, it will be hard for whales and supporters to abandon the king of smart contract project for a new one, still this won't stop the new smart contract projects from massive adoption but getting to where ETH is today will be hard.

Ethereum does have very strong fundamentals and it will be difficult to beat Ethereum,

even though there are Polygon, Polkadot, Terra and even Binance projects, Ethereum still has a bigger ecosystem than that project,
of course this is what makes Ethereum able to be in second position in Coinmarketcap

for now I think a coin that has potential like ethereum is polygon (MATIC) even though the current price of MATIC is very far compared to ethereum, but I am optimistic that MATIC will slowly increase and will follow ethereum's footsteps in the long term especialy now that MATIC has listed on big  exchanges in crypto.

My choice is Terra Luna because its network transaction fee is very low compared to other chains and transaction is executed within few seconds, this is the reason it has attracted huge investment from DEFIs and total value locked on its network is around is around 28 Billion dollars which is quite impressive. it has shown tremendous growth during the past year and it is still performing despite bearish Bitcoin market.

Unfortunately, this is the case with new projects in the crypto/Blockchain space. They become big within their early days, only to fall all they way down the drain years later due to lack of demand. EOS was once hailed to be "Ethereum's successor", only to become a "ghost town" years later. TRON took the same path as EOS once Justin Sun left the project for good. It's now full of useless tokens and scam "dApps" with no real use cases for everyday people.

Of course, the aforementioned blockchain networks have far superior performance than Ethereum. But without any substance to them, people will have no need to leave Ethereum anytime soon. With this, I think Ethereum will remain as the "King of Altcoins" for a long time. Just my thoughts

Seeing the performance and popularity of Terra Luna which is increasing very rapidly this year, even though the market is in a bearish condition,
it proves that Terra Luna is a good project. No wonder many investors are starting to be interested in investing in Terra Luna, I'm not surprised
this year if Terra Luna will be in the top 5. Even 3 hours ago Terra Luna managed to reach new ATH at a price of $ 109, it seems that many people
are starting to realize that Terra Luna has a bright future. Regarding the Terra Luna network, you have explained not only that the transaction fees
are cheap, but the process is also very fast. So there's no doubt that Terra Luna could potentially be like Ethereum in the future.

Luna's potential has been seen and is still very good, but to occupy the 3rd position of cryptocurrency in 2023 I think it will still be very difficult for Luna because she still needs a harder struggle to shift the altcoins that have already become popular in the market and are not altcoins indiscriminate or trash coins.

Their only problem is that they do not have enough promotion. This is something I really despise because back in the day cryptocurrencies did not do marketing, they just existed and people invested into them, today that has changed.

It means that projects need to do marketing in order to grow bigger, and that means centralization because there needs to be "someone" that pays that marketing which is usually the creators of the project. This is why I feel like this is usually not a great future for crypto. However, that is the reality for the time being, I have to say that without proper marketing that would mean that the price would probably not grow as much as the coins that does proper marketing.

Not sure why so many expensive projects are named. I bought a lot of them early and made x100 and more. If you want something with ETH-potential it needs to be much cheaper than top100 projects. I mean something as Fantom can still rise of course, if you are really lucky 500% maybe 1000% but it can also crash. While something unique and fresh with a hard working team but still at $50m market cap like KoinOS can go 5000000% up, so why would you go in top100 projects ever?

These 4 coins will not be compared with ETH, but all of them are really very potential and worth holding. If I had to choose 1 out of 4 coins I would choose terra, currently terra ranks 8th but I believe it will soon enter the top 5 on CMC. Terra's growth this year reminds me of last year's solana breakout. But with UST, luna will grow even stronger. To mint 1 UST, it is necessary to burn the corresponding amount of LUNA worth 1 dollar this will create a scarcity of Luna in the market.

can I choose 2? from what I see polygon and avalanche have Ethereum-like potential. both of them have adopted the erc 20 smart contract, it can even be installed on metamask. Besides that, the gas fees for both are also very cheap, which will certainly make developers choose to develop their products on both networks.

in terms of price, indeed the four coins cannot be compared with Ethereum, because the price of Ethereum is very expensive, more than $2000,
and these four coins are only at the lower level, but when compared to technology, all four can have potential,

Exactly. So many projects aim to compete against Ethereum, yet they lack enough marketing to make them rise from the ground up. Not only that, but most of the alternative projects you see aren't that focused on decentralization as much as Ethereum. For this and many other reasons, I don't think Ethereum will lose its position in the market anytime soon. We could say that the project closest to Ethereum in terms of decentralization is Cardano (ADA). But it still lacks a solid ecosystem of dApps, tokens, and services around it. Without much developers on the platform, how do you think it will succeed in the long run?

At least, the competition is healthy. As long as projects work together to make crypto/Blockchain land a better place, nothing else matters. Just my opinion

In short, its really that hard to beat up a project which is the first on something or shall we say being the father and just like ETH which is the main erc20 based project which lots of projects had made use of the platform or its blockchain which had been flooded out the market.

So beating or kicking it into its place as second ranking on the overall market is somethat that is really hard.Pointing out on which one or coins is ETH like then this is really hard
so far we arent seeing any projects which is capable or having that potential to be like ETH in the future.

I think out of everything here, Avalanche probably has the most potential.

The Terra ecosystem is very interesting but I don't think that it's going to go anywhere in the long term, there are simply way better alternatives out there that are up and coming.

Polygon is a good short term scaling solution for ETH but at the end of the day the Layer 1 ETH network has to be scaled itself for Ethereum to succeed, so as soon as ETH2.0 rolls around I think that MATIC will take a big hit.

I think Luna is more better than Avax and very High potential like Terra Luna because they have their own Stable coin UST which is backed by Luna and most of Etherium Whales also holding UST which show that the future of Luna is bright. They are also constantly buying BTC in every Dip and I think thelis project can go big in Future.

What you say may be true, but Avax is also not in a bad condition so anyone who has more capital will also not be wrong if they want to buy Avax even though they are still inferior when compared to Luna because Luna already has advantages as you said.
