Other than having narcissistic image of themselves plastered all over the net.... Are we just a free meal ticket for house cats? I'd imagine lions and tigers would ripped them to shreds for being slackers.... How is it house cats manage to convince everyone they're smart when they're so hard to train. Aren't house cats taking advantage of persons suffering from emotional instability?

Cats are very useful. They eat mice, turn them into shit, and bury it in the neighbours' back yard.

Cats killing mice are useful only to those living in rural areas and have something against pesticides. A mouse trap is a lot more effective than any cat and cost less to maintain. Now, how are cats useful again

lol I love the complaints about cats on this forum most people just keep them as pets and actually depending on the cat they do a good job of keeping away all the critters most of the time, if you want a pet that only needs feeding twice a day and does their own thing the rest of the time then you'll be fine but if you want something that's awfully clingy and constantly needs to be walked or played with then get a dog I have two cats and find it hilarious the way people complain about them here half the time your pissing them off yourself, they think independently like people, so if you restrict them a lot or pick fights with them then they're going to complain and they'll get especially annoyed when they don't get their food.

Are cats used as substitute for children? Couples who are unable to have children usually will adopt pets, preferably dogs though, I guess..... Are cats used as a compromise to please our spouse's emotional instabilities

Are cats used as a compromise to please our spouse's emotional instabilities A lot of pets are used for this, especially cats and dogs. People buy them because they're lonely and want the company. They depend on you like kids would. They serve their purpose to the owners.

People who don't like cats have never had a good one. Start with a kitten and treat it really nice.....Oops Don't let it get too spoiled.
