I don't think there is a corruption free country in the world. Curbing corruption is indeed a difficult task, and it is true that no government can eradicate it completely. Corruption is deeply embedded in many societies and can take many forms, from bribery and embezzlement to nepotism and cronyism. However, this does not mean that efforts to fight corruption are futile. Governments can implement policies and programs aimed at increasing transparency, accountability and oversight, which can help reduce the incidence of corruption. These may include measures such as enforcing stricter anti-corruption laws, promoting ethical behavior in public institutions, and empowering independent oversight bodies. For the public to be actively involved in the fight against corruption by demanding transparency from their leaders and holding them accountable for their actions. I think corruption can be reduced to a large extent but it is impossible to eradicate it completely.

You know, I have always thought there is some weird relation between corruption and religions which are prominent in some societies, while they are non-existant in other. For example, we all know that most of religions, specially those Abramic ones (Judaism, Islam and Christianity) teach people not to lie or not to corrupt themselves, always to seek to do good to others, in short.
So we could assume that the most religious a country is, the less corruption we are supposed to find, right?
Still, we see that in Latin America (where Christianity is very prevalent) corruption is widespread, I am not sure why. I have never been in a country whether the other of those religions are the majority, so I cannot say whether it is different in Saudi Arabia or Israel.

A good example of the inconsistency of this is also how many Mafia members and Mafia bosses in Italy are very religious (Catholic) and yet, they willingly participate in organized crime. I do not understand whether all this is just about hipocresy or something else.
What are your thoughts?
Because just moral guidelines based on belief aren't enough to build a society. Religious values aren't optimal for removing corruption, in fact quite the opposite. Churches are part of scandals all the time. And even if there would be good moral teachings some people would follow, forgiveness loophole gives you an excuse to do anything in the end.
Rules and regulations forced by law and transparency are way more effective. But that doesn't suite everyone as that more accountability also means more surveillance and less privacy.
At least by current standards. Things could change when we crack scaling of zero knowledge proof to be used in IDs and contracts. I know that won't suite everyone either, but removing corruption has cost something.

We could argue on the difference between the centralization of transparency between a government and a church, by the way. In our society where the information and the transparency is supposed to be handled by a government we are supposed to trust is not that different from the trust people may have on religious authorities for them to guide the life of those who attend to pray.
It would be easier if decentralized systems were the norm and anyone could verify the information about anyone, regardless of their position within society.
The Blockchain does not give preferences to the rich or the poor, anyone can verify in the same manner. But we should wonder as well, how we would be supposed to handle privacy, since we all have the right to it.

The fact that the government doesn't want to tell us the truth about UFOs, has to do with corruption. Watch how in this video.

Can corruption finally ends? No I don't think this would ever happens. The world is becoming so uncomfortable and many of our politicians from different countries are trying to get to the seat by all means which is one of the ways things are getting so tough and competitive with the mindset to do anything to get to the higher rank. We have corruption ranging from the government to the private sectors and to the streets where the average men do things and commit crime getting away with it without any justification.

It is not possible to end corruption it is not only difficult but impossible to reduce corruption in a country where the policy makers and responsible persons indirectly advocate corruption without having a specific action plan to fight corruption. A lot can be said from frustration. But it is the job of the responsible people to take initiative and force the government to take initiative to remove the reasons that created that frustration. But adapting to the situation without doing that accepting corruption and pushing the society and the state towards more corruption cannot be a responsible behavior in any way.

If the system of government of a country is bad, will I say it's impossible or hard for a genuine President to end corruption no matter how best he tries to do it in his first or second tenure.

The corruption we are talking about should be the corruption that has been embedded in a country for years and a single genuine person wants to stop a corrupt practice that thousands of beings are into without being frustrated out of his agenda to better the country he rules to be less corrupt.

A corrupt country will find it difficult to elect a genuine president as its president. Even though a genuine president is elected, the country's ministers who are corrupt would like to work against him to bring down his mission to fight against corrupt practices.

You're right, we cannot end corruption thesame way we cannot stopped evils from happening, but when we are involved in doing them, then we've gone against the normal expectations on how we should live or behave, corruption is what would have been as a result of our advanced indiscipline from the way we live our lives, we must all know that despite there's corruption everywhere, we are to exempt ourselves from them and those involved in this kind of act.

If you want to truly eradicate the chains of corruption in a country, the role of the president alone will not be strong enough to succeed. Because, it is possible that many of the President's subordinates are conspiring to commit corruption (ministers, council members, and so on). Therefore, to break the chain of corruption, solidarity and firmness are needed from all levels of government and society. Because if you only rely on one president, I don't think you will be able to do it. Therefore, solidarity must be implemented.

Corruption is her to stay and we should not even think for eradicating it because we all are humans. We can reduce it be we cants stop it finally. There are people that are born in corruption and they can't depart from it because they live and abide by it..
This is why their are sufferings and unemployment everywhere because the government of many countries are corrupt and not ready to do what will make their citizens to have a good life and live comfortably.

Everyone is trying to show their displeasure against corruption, but are we not corrupt ourselves, in the little way we are living our own lives with others in the society that no ones knows about some certain things, are we just being the same image of an incorruptible person even amidst of the corrupt environment we are living, we often figure out the leaders as the only corrupt people which is totally wrong, every injustice we do in live with those around us is an act of being corrupted.
When the government compromise with the laws what do you expect from the common citizens, if the government can stop corruption and make the law not to be fragile that anybody can toy with people respect themselves and have no choice than practice the law. You can expect common citizens to be free from corruption when the whole system of the government is corrupt.  When the government is corruption becomes a system that every citizen will practice to gain their own benefits.

You can expect common citizens to be free from corruption when the whole system of the government is corrupt.  When the government is corruption becomes a system that every citizen will practice to gain their own benefits.

Government is the first culprit of corruption. When we say government, it means those persons at the corridors of power, those that have been elected or selected in the higher leadership echelon of the country. They are given the responsibility to run the affairs of the country and if they fail to do this it means they have corrupted the system.

One way to ensure that the country is not corrupt is to follow the law but those in government don't apply the law on themselves, family or cronies and that makes impunity to take over the country. But if government will be serious to cleanse themselves of impunity and corruption then they can sanitize the country by following and applying the laws on every offender. Most countries have good laws but it is the implementation of the laws that is the challenge.

Corruption is very dip that it can't be totally buried in every government. Their are reasons the government is always curuppt is because the taste for power and the money they see in the government,  this things makes them to forget where there are coming from and where they are going to. In every government their is little element of Corruption but some government are disguising  to be pure and of you check well they are  not pure.

Fighting corruption can never be easy, because how do we determine a good politician from the bad ones where all of them are I the same party agitating for power for the party sake not for their own sake or the citizens. Tho it varies depending on your country like my country it very very low to stop corruption it now like a second name to the country.
If there could be a politician without a Godfather then the possibility will increase.
The major problem is the majority of a nation, from the smallest sector of nation corruption has erred it. How can a taxi man be so corrupt that he carry's only those whom he thinks has money. How then do we manage this people  apart from the leaders almost everyone in my country is corrupted. Not to mention of the forces if you don't have the so called connection your lost already. There is more to talk about but I will end here.

I usually have a thought in my head to stop corruption in my country but I won't share this taught in public like this forum though I have privacy but not enough. But also think if we deal with the smaller corruption the big ones will surrender.

How easy for a new president who is been elected to fight corruption in a nation where all the systems of government is been corrupted,  like in the force,  and judiciary,  even the politicians.

Having  the mind to stop corruption is not easy in a nation that corruption  is seen as nothing, making an attempt to do so some politicians will do everything to frustrate the agenda. Do you think a genuine president can easily end corruption of this level ?

When the whole system is corrupt, things are not easy to sort. If a person is genuinely concerned and wanted to end the corruption from his country, it will take a lot of time and courage and task still seems impossible. It might take at least two decades to put the country on the right track. If a person is corrupt, he can be easily managed for political motives. So, why end corruption, when you can rule them without any trouble.

Wiping away this politicians and replacing them with young ones will not still solve the problem of Nigeria because corruption is deep and rooted in the system. There are other ways which have been proposed to stop corruption but it has not been working because of the grass root leaders. If you wish to fight corruption in country like Nigeria and you make it open then you're a threat and every threat must be wipe away which means you life is I your hands.
Even the young people are corrupt to an extent that no matter what you say to them it will not be their problem as far as Godfatherism still exist.
In my article about Nigeria Godfatherism was one of the major issue because everyone in politics but young and old has a Godfather that decides what will happen and if you oppose this decision then you loss your position. Use the recent case in Rivers State where the ex governor still want to make decisions for the state because his godson is in position (The so called godson is a young man too) so it doesn't matter the age as far as there is Godfatherism the system can't change.
