If their developers and security management team are always looking at the activities of their site, surely they would notice that there are glitches and errors from the system which people are abusing. Although it would be very unfortunate if the security team isn't really paying attention to details because like what you said, it could lead them to loss of profits, most especially if the abuse of the systme glitch was unnoticed for a long period of time.

This is why it is really important to keep the servers and security measures up to date. If they are attentive and have some kind of monitoring software apart from hiring a good amount of people to watch the site then it will be fixed as soon as possible but if not then those who discovered the bug are lucky that they can still withdraw what they have got and they can abuse it again and again until the admins will finally notice it. Thats why we are really seeing updates and maintenances that happening on certain platforms which i would say that its a must thing to have and as said that hackers are getting more smarter and if things turns out

to be outdated specially on your site security then holes and exploits could really be happening thats why you should really be giving out importance or priority when it comes to security aspect.

I agree with you. Right now, we have a fast paced technology where innovation also keeps in pace. Having an advanced technology have its both advantages and disadvantages. A website must be maintained well in order to be secured enough. Otherwise, hackers will infiltrate the system.

Hackers are no doubt one step ahead of the developer. When developer secure the site - the hacker look for the loopholes. I am sure casinos hire ethical hackers too incase the website it attacked.

This is because most of the time, people have the tendency to be selfish and greedy. Sometimes people really don't say a thing so that tjey can utilize something.

to pretend Big issues ? better to conduct a "Bug Hunting Contest" that you will offer good amount in every legitimate Bugs users may find in your site so from this and on? you will upgrade each area that has bugs and will also make your site Bug free in the future.

What was the total number of exploits and which ones were the lethal ones, I think that hufflepuff guy on primedice did the most damage.
The exploit was called something like "Race time condition" and I read something similar in my CS class but it was related to a banking system so it could be different.

Basically, it was giving multiple inputs to the system trying to get some response from the system in 2 places, and then exploiting the system.

Also, Is there any list for me to check regarding exploits? I'm thinking about developing something so it may come handy.

As long as there is innovation, there are vulnerabilities. Basically, if something is being created then it will surely have some kind of a flaw.
It's just a matter of time until someone figures how it can be exploited. This is why hackers and bug bounty hunters are being paid large amounts of money to find flaws in websites.
Even I am planning on to learn the art of cracking vulnerabilities but it's so damn tough to understand all the concepts.

Even if you have morals and principles, it can also tempt you to penetrate the casino through those bugs and see what you can get. Maybe that's the temptation we'll face if we find the bug. We must be honest with the casino to report the bug to the casino so they can fix it immediately. The team from the casino will not always be able to find various kinds of bugs because they are already very busy managing and maintaining their casino.

Seriously? What if you will just abused it? And even if you present yourself as a part of the team, it will still be hard to convince us. There is no need for you to test the bugs if they are working or not, because it was not some kind of a feature that needs to be perfect but the more the owners will like the bugs to be killed immediately before it can cause a lot of damage to their websites.

If you want to find bugs you can find it on your own. Now on topic, so many sites are vulnerable in the past but good thing that number has declined as the site creator are more familiar on the technology but they shouldn't be confident since the knowledge of the hackers are also improving.

Sometimes the need for money is much bigger than any moral you might actually have.For example if that guy who has found a glitch which can make him like 1 million dollars which happens to also have a big family and this amount can secure his lifetime future I find it very difficult for this person to abide by the morals which I believe he should do but the pressure to change life and make it secure financially at least for 1 generation is much bigger and tempting.Human nature is well known to fall prey of greed in a lot of circumstances so I believe in the end it would be based on the type of glitch you found,the more money it makes the less prone to tell about this,unfortunately this is human nature.

It does really depend on the morals of the person how he will approach on this scenario.
And sometimes, even if you say it to yourself, you won't do it, but when the opportunity presents, you may change your mind.
So we can't really tell what's going on with the minds of people, when you are already in the situation.
