That is why you should use stop loss if you want to avoid making a loss. Let's assume you bought at 38k, and now it is 44k+, you do not want to sell on a smallest drop, but you do not want to make a loss neither. So, you put it at 41k or so, that means it needs to drop 3k+ in order to reach there, not a small drop, not a big one neither, and you are still in profit.

Many people use the stop loss feature just because of things like this, in these situations it keeps you safe. I personally do not use it because I am a long term holder, I like to make as much profit as possible in plenty of years and do not care about short term losses. However, not everyone is like me. So you could use stop loss for it.
