As to be expected, the poll results are heavily favoring Canelo.

I don't think there's anyone in his weight class who can really compete with him right now.  A shame because he's a great fighter and I don't see any great fights in his near future.  Bivol appears to just be the next victim.  Maybe we'll get a surprise, but I'll be putting my money on Canelo for this one.  Anything other than a victory for him would be a bit of a surprise.  Hopefully the sport of boxing will get a little more competitive now that the Paul brothers have brought some new blood to the sport because UFC has left boxing with a bit to be desired.

I'm not saying this is a cherry-picked fight because Bivol is a great fighter and a good champion but he is not in Canelo's level the only one I can think of that will really challenge him is Golovkin and I want this trilogy to happen before GGG retires both styles compliment each other, GGG is a type of fighter who can stand toe to toe and never run away, and this is something that can challenge Canelo, GGG is the only fighter that can bring the fight to Canelo.

Canelo Alvarez is the obvious favorite it seems, looking at the poll and of course, the comment section. Usually I am one who likes to cheer for the underdog but I am 100 percent in on Alvarez. No way Dmitry Bivol stands a snowballs chance in hell against him. Going by Dmitry's history, he certainly is not a weak fighter. So the outcome might be 70/30 for Alvarez if not 60. If looking at nationality, I think he may have lost a lot of support from his fans for the mere fact of being Russian, which is unfair. But it may also explain the polls favor of Alvarez.

The next fight against GGG is a certainty at this point. No doubt about it.

Since these 2 have good boxing records, I believe, it would be worth watching but I do agree that we should underestimate Bivol here. Remember also that a lot of people are now hating Russians and he knows it. So it is another challenge on him while he is inside the ring. We are seeing that Canelo is the favorite on this match, but it is him who is going up on this weight division so the win for me is not a sure one either. Maybe we can bet on other betting lines here, like when will this fight will be over, like under/over 7.5, once this money betting line is available.

Wouldn't it be suspend because of the Russia invasion? many sports league already removed Russia in their competition but the WBO does not yet? or they doesn't care about politics? In this match I think I would go in Alvarez, I see his previous matches and I think he can't easily beat by Bivol though Bivol doesn't have much professional boxing career his previous career in non professional boxing is great too. This is very exciting match.

I hope it will not be suspended, we have not seen Canelo having a fight this year yet unlike last year when he fight 3 times in a year IIRC. Sports should not be mixed with politics as its main purpose is just entertainment, so I hope we will see our expectations.

Same here, even without the fact that we haven't seen Canelo fighting this year, I do hope that this fight will continue and not just this fight but for other Russian Athletes as well that have some games or fight scheduled even before the implementation was posted. These industries is for sports and entertainment, and not for politics. They should've let the elected country leaders deal with it.

That statement is very positive, it's a go on his side but hopefully the same on the side of other countries or the organizers of the boxing event. When politics will come into the picture, everything will become biased and that will kill the excitement. Just let them fight, at least in times of war we can still entertain ourselves.

Who would think of ENTERTAINMENT in the time of War. When people are running for the sake of their lives, people like us  still care from entertainment? I wish we must support humanity during this time of War. YEsterday it was Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Serya Today its Ukraine tomorrow it will be another country.
