Another race with strange decisions from FIA but also Alpha Tauri who released a danger car back on the circuit who clearly favored Max to win the race ...or at least this is how I view this race and this is not the F1 I love and it all started in Abu Dhabi last year.

Great race from Mercedes but also Perez. Ferrari once again with a lot of fails during the race with strategies and Alonso and Ocon who both got points and the gap between McLaren and Alpine is increasing in favor of Alpine.

Eh, I thought I was gonna have a bad day when my Dutch pick did badly in testing and then yeah, still ended up getting pole! Missed the race (football, what else?) but seems like the expected happened. Pole and win good for me to stay in touch with you leaders but Ferrari 1-2 didn't happen, so I still more or less maintain my pool position.

Hammie podium also almost happened, damn.

Left out my Tsunoda and was wise to do so...

It was not Tsunoda,it was Bottas fault that made the Safety Car come in which then changed everything from how things were.I think this was a beautiful race after all,of course it would have been more difficult for Verstappen if no Safety Car was in as that was the event that gave the advantage to Verstappen but overall it was a very well deserved win for him and Redbull.When you compare him and his team mate it looks like they race for different teams in terms of quality.

I made 14 points when I was expecting like 10 or so,I am 4th this round but I am happy and congrats to Cls63 for another yellow cap which I think is also the record points for a race in this pool.

It was a really great day for me after this interesting race. I somehow collected the most points at the end of the day. I was really sad to see Leclerc not winning the pole position yesterday. I felt the same for Sainz's finishing the race out of podium as well. But especially points came from predicting the exact positions of three drivers in top 10 helped me a lot. 

When it comes to the race it was under control of Verstappen from the beginning. Even SC didn't change anything for Verstappen as he overtook Hamilton right after SC entered pit lane. It was a horrible day for Ferrari drivers - especially for Sainz. This kind of mistakes can't be forgiven easily. Sainz must be very frustrated with the team. Congrats to Russell by the way on his great success today. He was one of the most impressive drivers of the day.

I feel you , especially if you had a bet on them but this is not racing anymore and we are looking at entertaining right now and it's not what I'm used to see when it comes to F1. To be honest , I might not even watch the next race as the result will be the same with Max taking the win and other teams just fighting for 2-3 rd places.

Do not forget guys to get a point each one of you if you put Leclerc at first in qualifying.The reason is that everybody else from the front runners except him and Russell will face penalties and some positions lost in the grid.Therefore I wanted to share the news with you as I don't think is fair to keep it all for myself and with just a few of us here reading the news I thought it would be nice to share.So between Russell and Leclerc I think Leclerc is 100% sure to get the pole and this would make us start the race with 3 points in the bag,2 for EBP and 1 for Qualifying.

The last look of the grid has been shared finally. They were having problems on determining in which position Verstappen was going to start. It changed between 4th and 7th position but finally it was decided. I don't know why there was a hesitation about this too. Because Verstappen finished qualifying in 2nd position and he was going to start in 7th position as a result considering the 5-place grid penalty.

Russell has a really huge advantage here. He is starting right behind Leclerc. I wonder if he can have a better traction at the beginning of the race to overtake Leclerc. But to be honest Leclerc seems really fast this weekend. Even if he makes a mistake at the beginning it wouldn't take him much time to get his place back. It looks like there will be a lovely competition between Leclerc and Verstappen tomorrow.

Verstappen has Alonso right ahead of him by the way. This reminds me of Hamilton - Alonso rivalries in the past races.    However Verstappen has a way faster car than Hamilton now. So it would be too difficult for Alonso to keep him behind for a long time. I even expect Verstappen to gain some positions before turn 1 already. Leclerc has gained a significant power now indeed. While Verstappen is trying to climb the positions Leclerc will need to push to open the gap as much as possible. I expect Ferrari to start pushing from the beginning and build a tyre strategy upon that.

The pit crew will be eyed closely for sure. After their huge mistakes with Sainz in the previous race they have attracted the attention of most people. They can't afford doing this again in this GP as well.

So did I and lost 4 points,I believe the same as you.I was also really hopeful this time as he had all the time to get away and create that gap but that VSC screwed up everything for Ferrari,they thought they could beat Redbull on a two stop strategy which proved completely wrong as even with the softs Leclerc could not do anything against a Verstappen with medium wear tires that ended the race.The Safety Car in the end was plain stupid as a VSC would have done the job nicely.

On the pool I have done pretty bad this time compared to my previous 8-9 rounds where I was always first,this time around I was down a lot of places.

I see rohang didn't even enter his picks so he's now bottom (ouch)... a reminder we could all do with a bit of luck if we just don't forget our picks. Mosala just overtook CLS63, that lead is so hard to handle, huh!

Was lap 3 and LEclerc had the RedBull on his mirrors so never can make a gap to him. The end of the race was boring because the SC but i think if that dont happen the position remains the same.

Thanks guys! Finally I was able to get up from the bottom, I didn't believed that I will be able to do that this season . I lost so many points because I haven't entered my predictions before qualifying in first part of season. I still sometimes forget to do it before qualifying, but this time I did it and I didn't even changed my picks, despite that I wasn't able to predict winner of qualifying.
SC probably wasn't factor which decided winner of race, but finish under SC is a bit ridiculous thing. Maybe it's time to introduce overtime rule like in NASCAR?

not sure that it is interesting to watch anymore, if you are not a fan of Max

Formula 1 has to do something to equivalize cars throughout teams (at least for top teams), or the races are just going to be training runs for Max, to get another title (this one is already secured)

We all know well that Formula 1 management wouldn't think of making such move in the future.    Actually it is exactly like you said for Formula 2 now. As far as I know the cars are still equal there. However they aren't planning to do this for Formula 1. They leave the difficult job for the teams to compete with each other as strong as possible.

In the circumstances, it is too hard for some specific teams to get to the top any time. The only way for them might be that a rich person buys the team and makes a huge investment into the team to make it one of the bests. Even this doesn't have any guarantee because Racing Point had this scenario but couldn't become such powerful team later on. They were using Mercedes' old engine which was an obstacle for them.

I support the parity but at the same i didnt support that. Lets me explain.

When we think in pure racing, yes its more enjoyable with equals cars, but..... this is F1 and F1 its not only racing itself its about development pure tecnology, and win the race not only in the track also win the race outside this one, in the garages, in the factory, in the development, so.... its b oring to see in the racetrack a dominanting car? Clearly yes, but its because a ton of work and knowledge putting in the car, so they make the better outside and win in the racetrack for this. And i dont like to cut that.

Its more a enginering competition than a race competition sometimes, i dont know if im clear in my point.

According to the source below, F1 management might be thinking of adding a new racetrack which is in Colombia and named as "the Caribbean GP". I've added the drawing of the track on paper right below:



The start straight seems quite long and we can see a great rivalry between the drivers there by taking advantage of DRS. It would be the easiest section of the track to overtake a car. Apart from that, it might be difficult for the drivers to overtake themselves in the other parts of the track. But I'm making assumptions only considering this drawing of course. After they show the track in a more detailed way IRL we can be sure of something easier. It'd be lovely to see a new track in a different country. If the track passes all the tests then we might see it in calendar sooner than we expect.

Do you know how much longer its a lap (in terms of km)? Because seems really long the desing seems good but lets see, i also think between corners 05 and 09 we can have some overtakes.

I have one "problem" with all the new circuits in F1, i think most of us see this kind of videos, but everysingle time when i see a new track i cant stop thinking in how they made the layout and this its incredible accurate haha.

Its shocking how good with only a rubber band you can made some nice multiple and random circuits.
