I search a bit but I couldn't find the campaign you talking about it seems that yahoo change the thread just to avoid discussion about Cryptotalk. But it seems I found the thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188047.0The only problem is that it's a Yobit campaign, not Cryptotalk until I check it on archive.org the old version is Cryptotalk.orgI created an account before with Cryptotalk receive some airdrop to my Yobit account the weird thing is that it was in yobit investBox that can't able to withdraw. So I stop using them until I open my Yobit account again with that airdrop but the problem is that the token price drops a lot and is not worth exchanging. If you are planning to join in their own campaign in Cryptotalk better look for another source.

I can still remember there was a subscription campaign in this forum for the cryptotalk platform.
You remind me of this guy, he fell victim and said something about Cryptotalk.org and yobit. Looks like you should read a lot about them before doing anything there. • Cryptotalk.org Attractive offers provided by scammers. That's really true scammers have a lot of ways to steal the assets of the users. Members should be aware on that. Many sites born in internet now then copying the system of legit sites to manipulate and lead the users to their fake accounts and convince members to registered them. But they have a remark to lead us that they are the scammers like asking our bank accounts and other accounts like yobit, blockchain etc. So before to decide do some investigate to be satisfy us
You definitely don't want to cry in the future, when your money is gone, maybe not many people use their current platform, after they know, even if some use it, maybe they don't know its reputation and how it works in serving customers.

Actually i was talking about the the signature campaign which was held in this forum and managed by yahoo. They spent a good amount of BTC that time which was probably funded by Yobit exchange.
Of course, it was funded by YoBit exchange because Cryptotalk was owned by YoBit exchange. That is why it was a controversial signature campaign because everybody knew that the owner of Cryptotalk was YoBit, which was known to be a scammer exchange. Of course, the campaign did not promote YoBit itself but knowing that it is another project of YoBit even if it is separate from the exchange, there was a dilemma of whether it is totally excused from being branded as a scam as well. I don't know how much they spent on it but I know that YoBit is still earning more than enough to be able to fund a huge campaign here.

Most of the users are probably heavily invited from this forum for the sake of intensive each post. But I'm not sure they got some established members too which makes the forum atmosphere more interesting to explore, especially if the incentives are currently restricted to certain subforum sections only. Their statistics show that online users are currently no more than 200 people who are mostly just guests.

May be their pay rate dropped or no one is interested on their offers. They just wasted their money or may be it was never their intention to build's up a forum. At least that is what i have learnt from other members comments. But the conclusion indicates to one platform for the responsibility of whatever they were intent to do and that is yobit.

If you are aware of Yobit behavior in Cryptocurrency you'll know that they just want more clients or traders to their platform, they used to launch a lot of airdrops, then NFT and farming, they thought they can duplicate or imitate Bitcointalk's success but their reputation betrays them, you cannot attract good posters on a platform that is being managed by scammers.

I'm wondering, why would somebody who already knew about Bitcointalk create an account on Cryptotalk? Or, why would somebody who is already aware that Cryptotalk is owned by YoBit open an account there? I surmise posting there is somehow incentivized? This must also be the same reason why spammers are flooding that forum despite hundreds of moderators who are tasked to maintain the quality of discussions.

When the forum was launched they are paying members for every post and its unlimited post you can earn unlimited here and the highest posters of that time will get a huge reward I can't remember the amount I think it's $1000 worth of Bitcoin, because of this people created a lot of accounts and started to spam the forum with useless topics, they have to bad some countries because of this because they cannot keep up anymore.

I don't think anyone, even with a lot of accounts, could make $1000 there .. unless you're talking about some long period of time. From what I remember, they were paying really dust for the post, if I'm not mistaken it was a few cents. Even if it was $0.10 per post, someone would have to write 10,000 posts to get $1,000, so I think it's very unlikely.

I can still remember there was a subscription campaign in this forum for the cryptotalk platform. That BTC paid campaign create quite hype in the forum which was managed by yahoo if I am not mistaken. But what happens to that site now. I did create an account on that platform but left after some time. They spend a good amount of BTC to attract users to their platform. Is there anyone who still uses that platform? That platform remains so spammy or it's better now?
Sorry if this is not the right section to post this but I was uncertain about where I should create this topic so I post it here.
The site or forum is still up but it's forgettable for so many reasons like it's a platform created by Yobit the admins are biased toward members, they favored the Russian board, they are deceitful, and cannot keep their promise, so many members of that forum are made to believe that they will be paid but after completing the number of posts they only choose who will get. This forum is not up to the standard of Bitcointalk I prefer to call it the house of spam because they encourage spamming and the moderators are all biased.

Oh my god, I haven't thought about cryptotalk in quite a while--and I do remember writing some posts about it back when they had that campaign running that OP referenced. They did pay for posts for a while, but the messed up thing was that the payment got credited to a Yobit account that you had to create IIRC, so you had to become associated with that shitty exchange. My guess is that they were hoping people would blow their earnings gambling on shitcoins and ghostcoins (fictitious "coins" that only exist on Yobit and don't have a blockchain). No doubt a good number of them did just that.
Man you brought back some blast from the past for me -- Yobit! I was like any other fool in 2016, holding bags of silly alts that couldn't be traded anywhere else (and though Cryptopia died a couple of years later or so, it was already problematic before then)... and Yobit "saved" me. Cryptotalk spammers I remember a lot too, didn't know they paid to Yobit. I think the only other forum ever worth going to back then was Bitcoin Garden -- wasn't like there was anything Bitcoin useful there but a lot of altcoin devs hanged out there -- and back then, at least not everyone was an ICO-mongering turd. Even when bitcoin.com had the money and the people, they couldn't turn their forum into a viable competitor.

And to think that Cryptotalk wasn't probably delivering any decent revenue to the YoBit team at all, they had to put a stop to it or else they would be continuously milked by spammers who do not in any way elevate the quality of the forum nor of its discussions, and who couldn't care less about its fate.

I think that is why they have already stopped paying for English posters, but their Russian thread is still open and active. Maybe they are keeping that forum alive for any future promotion, or there could be another attempt from Yobit to fool people through that platform. I think the only other forum ever worth going to back then was Bitcoin Garden -- wasn't like there was anything Bitcoin useful there but a lot of altcoin devs hanged out there -- and back then, at least not everyone was an ICO-mongering turd.
I do have one account on Bitcoin Garden and Altcointalk too but i can see only Altcointalk survived till now. Though they are not nothing like Bitcointalk but they still have some users.

Many spammers there do copy a topic here and paste on that for for the sake of farming more satoshi. And that's a huge mistake they made because there users is not generally there to support them and all of people who try to use that forum is just for the pay per post. Their tagline - 'Make posts, earn bitcoins' I mean it's expected.

In all honesty, I'd never heard of that platform. I guess it was popular before my time. Was that forum supposed to compete with bitcointalk?
Yes it was, but I remember people talking about it on bitcointalk and about the chances of it succeeding and be at least as good as btctalk but almost everyone agreed that there was no way it could, bitcointalk been around but so long and people got used to it and got high ranks on it, no reason for them to switch and start from scratch.

Am not sure if I remember that Cryptotalk forum now. Hope what am going to say is not off topic but the discussion reminds me of another site that begged members here to register on their forum and get paid with Ethereum for posting. That was Moonforum. It was a buzz here during that time because the payment from it was very good. That site does not exists anymore now too. The bounty manager for that site scammed the site and made away with funds escrowed to him and that was how everything scattered.

That's a bad slogan their users will literally take that slogan and just post just to earn bitcoin, they should have made their slogan Make good posts and earn Bitcoin, they just want posters, not quality posters, I used to be a member there they used to have a contest on the most number of post on their launching month and the poster with the most posts wins 1 Bitcoin, this is how the forum turn into a spam forum because they concentrate on quantity, not on quality, now they are out of business because they cannot keep stopping their members from spamming.
