There are many old coins that are likely to survive.

Unlike the new coins and new projects, they're unlikely to survive. Because that's what I've seen when the bear market has come on 2018. There were also a lot of new projects during that time.

But because of the bear market, many of them didn't got helped and survived.

For the old ones, if they keep on developing, if not they wont exist longer!

many old altcoins will disappear because due to the fact that every day they create innovation and old altcoins are no longer keeping up with these new innovations, in the past and even today people invested in altcoins that were more decentralized, had low transaction fees, but the problem is that over time there are already many altcoins with low transaction fees and the market ended up becoming centralized and with so many altcoins that have the same resources being created every day the market has become saturated to the point where they are making old altcoins disappear, maybe ETH will be one of the few old altcoins that will survive for many years

Im not seeing unhealthy competition between any crypto. it seems like that if you wanna see that unhealthy competition already gone when so many paid bots and shillers from some big companies have gone. These days there are only black campaign like calling one to the each other as killer for what they have seen that as a competitor for their project. i do believe if this will become a disaster but the bitcoin impact is far greater than it.

Coins that do better during bearish period are mostly stable coins or coins owned by an exchange. Like we have the KCS which is the stable coin on Kucoin. Although this dip also affects the coin, the value of the coin was $21 last month, but currently now it has dipped to $15. we also have the USDT coin which don't move, it always remain stagnant and don't have active price actions. Stable coins survive during bearish period, even though they dip, sooner or later they will still pumped back. Unlike other alt coins that dipped and these coins takes up to a month to bounce back to it's ATH.

think about surviving in extreme markets actually all coins can do that, although only some of them are serious about their project to survive. However, if you don't believe in what you are investing it is better to look for coins that can last. It's better to predict it will drop to the lowest price to buy so you don't have to worry about leaving it.

A good project regardless of how old or new it is will most likely survive even the most adverse market conditions, however we know that the majority of the coins are not worth anything and are just an attempt to make money by the developers, so as soon as they realize this and they understand that they are not going to be able to make any money then they will abandon their coin and let it crash all the way to zero, while they plan when to release their next coin.

Look at the coin with the biggest safty net right now (SOL, BTC, ETH)...Those coins are recession proof and will probably survive a recession. Coins like Harmony, Amp (low on the food chain) will probably not survive.

For me, the currency or token that will be chosen and that I think could survive would be ETH and Monero, first of all I say ETH because it is the second most important currency and most similar to BTC, in fact it is the best after BTC, and Monero because it is a privacy coin, I consider this coin that way because in the near future the fight will be for anonymity and privacy, it will not be so much for having cryptocurrencies or BTC, but for guaranteeing anonymity because I know that in the future this right it will not be available to everyone.

It depends, if the old coin was any good and the developers kept improving it then even if another  altcoin appeared with the same characteristics then it is going to be difficult for a new coin that does exactly the same to beat it as the advantage it will have over other similar coins is going to be too difficult to overcome, however if the coin at some point became stagnant and it stop developing then you have a point and a new coin will eventually replace it.

The coin which have big backers and partners and we'll named investor along with solid idea of long term will survive long. All other Projects will work just in trend and then go down far away.
We seen many coins that make history in their trend condition but when trend End the project also dead.
Bitcoin is still alive similarly Etherium,Bnb and some other best Projects alive yet.

Even though i am a fan of cryptocurrencies because they stand for financial freedom and decentralization, i just can't see it happen in my lifetime that cryptos will replace FIAT completely or even for the most part. This is not that good in my opinion because traditinal FIAT money is still controlled by the countries and by the federal banks which means no freedom for the it's "users".
I do think though that cryptocurrencies are defintitely becoming more and more accepted in the world slowly but surely and i also think that a lot of that has already happened in the last few years. I hope and think that the adoption of crypto continues with that speed in the coming years.

Many blockchains will be adopted, each geared towards a different purpose. For example:
xrp- remittance/derivatives
xlm- cbdc
HBAR- logistics/carbon credits
ICYp- transform web2 into web3/social media/metaverse

This question is something that no one can answer because no one knows, there is a reason why risks exists and this has everything you do with crypto investment, my target is BTC going below 20,000$ then I will start buying altcoins I planned to hold, you can do the same but make sure you invest only what you can afford to lose.

If we have a lot of money then we can buy a BNB that has great potential to skyrocket, but if we want to start with a small value then I will not buy automatic, tron, cronos, loopring and so on, I'm sure if the market can improve and we are patient to long term we can become new millionaire.
