Despite no serious bull in the market for sometime,  I am thinking to buy more because the price at which bitcoin is right now I can be able to afford it. I planned buying when the price was at 40$ , the amount of bitcoin I planned to buy is a small quantity which if the market eventually go dip i may lost 30% of it. But now I feel even if I buy and it goes dip it wont go dipper the way the price is now.  What do you think about my plan?

If you buy bitcoins when the price is at $40k, maybe your plan is not wise considering the current market conditions where the bitcoin price has decreased significantly and currently the bitcoin price is in the $20k price range which means you lose almost 50% of it. When the price of bitcoin drops like it is today all you need to do is hold it and wait for the price to move back up then you can sell it so you don't lose.

The thing to remember is that the market is very volatile. The basic formula in trading in my experience is to understand the rise and fall of prices. We can know this when we often look at price chart movements. Here we can see price history in a matter of 7D, 1M, 3M, 1Y whether it is decreasing or increasing.
If that's what we do, then we can analyze for ourselves what is the right action to take.

Not going to favor small  holders since the value of BTC is already huge and investment needs a large sum of initial to let you feel your profits, though for conservative and wise investors who are aiming for passive profits, Bitcoin still is the best asset to hold. Maybe you can add some or you can place a good percentage of your total investment with known solid alts and wait for the market to pump and bring you decent benefits, more on how you will do your research and how will you project your target profits.

This is definitely the best time to start buying some Bitcoin with good dollar cost averaging DCA, because at this level $21k - $22k is an average price for Bitcoin if using a 4 years simple moving average and that level is a good buying opportunity in the market in my own view. This should be enough proof that you don't just buy because your instincts says so. Crypto investment requires so much analysis. From $40k it has even gone deeper than an average crypto trader who bought at that price can endure. This why technical or fundamental knowledge is required to keep up with entry points.

As price had fallen below $20k it's still not a time for short term investment. Except for long term investment where one can hold for a period of 1-2 years.

The only reason people don't buy bitcoins at cheap prices like now is fear. Fear that everything has collapsed and will never recover. It's always been like that - it's psychology. Remember March 2020 when no one expected such a fall and even Plan B said its s2f model was broken. At that time people were expecting a price even lower, but it didn't happen and the train left without them. The same thing could happen now. Last time the collapse was because of the covid, this time it was because of the war and the world crisis. The methods and behaviour of the markets are always the same.

You can see bitcoin growth statistics by month in different years. For example here, but it's not very new.



Here we can see that statistically October was more often a good month for growth and October was less likely to see a drop in price. But 2022 broke a lot of the rules that have been repeated historically. Therefore, this time too, it could be the other way round.

Hopefully your plan is good market go down day by day. I think price of Bitcoin Wii further go down and it will hit $10k soon next 2 or 3 months. So we are waiting when price of Bitcoin down and the price of other altcoin will also down. This is the to buy coin and take profit.

Please don't wait and also don't hope that much, As a result of that dumping, the cryptocurrency market reached such a level that other alt coin projects in the market collapsed or disappeared from the market.
