That's non-sense to me as I only stick with applying strategy and good bankroll management.

But I do respect that some guys out there like you that do have that lucky-related stuff before doing gambing. I just found it not comfortable and relying on luck is like risking our money without even a chance to fight for real.

If it's effective for you, then nothing wrong to stick with that idea.

I and many of my friends have our own mantra before and after we gamble, I just discovered this when we have a drinking session we find out that many of us have our own mantra before, while playing and after or even in the middle of playing.

Mine was "This is my lucky day and I'm claiming it" and when in the middle of the game "I need to play money that I can afford to lose".

To be honest, I've never had any mantras, but I believe that it can help a lot to raise a player's self-esteem and even help him to have better results, why not!?

Yes, I believe that mantras are a form of self-motivation, to face gambling with a positive attitude, rather than something that has to do with results. Maybe if you face gambling with a positive attitude you know how to stop in time if you lose and not chase losses, and also stop to enjoy the money if you win.

Yes, I believe that mantras are a form of self-motivation, to face gambling with a positive attitude, rather than something that has to do with results. I've studied a little about psychology (only a few semesters) and the speech we issue is divided into 3 parts = positive, negative and interrogative. The three of them will definitely have an effect on the subconscious if they are said loudly and confidently, so try so that before gambling we don't have problems that can have a negative effect on our bodies, minds and words.

I dont have any too but if that makes the player be motivated to win then why not? We have our own strategy and way of thinking even it seems funny. It might not influence the result of the game directly to win but somehow if this mantra can give you confidence, it can help your mind to think positive even the outcome is uncertain.

Afaik mantra is a kind of ritual or a superstitious beliefs. Playing or spending what you can afford to lose is just a golden rule but I don't think it is qualified as a mantra tho the first one you said, the lucky day thing can be considered as one. There are many more like wearing a certain color of t-shirt, praying before or in the middle of betting, and so on.

Lately I've been gambling carelessly. No not the one you are thinking of spending recklessly but I mean is I don't mind losing or even winning, this allows me to gamble calmly and with less to no regrets at all. With that said, there is no need for me to do any mantra's but before, I always pray that I will win. It sometimes work but sometimes don't.

Mantra or praying to god about gambling is doesn't make sense lol, is there anyone on 21th century still believe about magic or somewhat unrealistic stuffs? Even you hit a jackpot when you do your mantra, it doesn't mean your mantra are work. But it's a very lucky situation where the jackpot happen during your mantra, if you didn't do your mantra at that times, you still hit the jackpot without it.

I laughed when you made this thread because when you gamble then no spell is needed, everything has been made with script code by IT developers so the prayers you say can never have an effect on the results of gambling, and i am very concerned about god don't like you to gamble.

I don't have any mantras or maybe I have,the only thing I think before venturing into a gambling session I pray to that supernatural being to give me a huge multiplier win or a big jackpot,so far this has been some kind of motivation before I play gambling as I never have won anything big from quite a long time now.I don't say to myself this is my lucky day and I am going to get it or anything like that,once I have enough money to spend on gambling I just fire up my favorite casino and start playing without any superstition so most likely I don't have any mantra.

Back in the day when I used to gamble at physical casinos it was not rare to see people that repeated a few words before each bet that they made in what it seemed some sort of ritual, personally I have never done something like that because I am fully aware that whatever happens when I am gambling is down to luck and there is nothing I can do to try to influence the results in a game of pure chance, but there seems to be enough people that believe they can do so and make use of rituals or luck charms to bring them better luck when they gamble.

I don't have mantra as well like you do before gambling or after. Because what i am doing is if i feell not lucky after 2 consecutive plays, then it means i need to stop asap to prevent more losses. No more reason to continue because it always my experienced and the results is always the same when i keep playing. so to prevent regrets better to try in other day.

Maybe that's fine for you but I guess, for other people, it might not necessarily work because they know that gambling is something that has nothing to do with such things.
Maybe it can build confidence in you to improve your performance in playing gambling but you must know that gambling is about luck.
So don't beat yourself up if the mantra doesn't work.

You are just holding on to something that will give you false hope to boost your confidence in your bet. This is total nonsense when it comes to game-related concerns but this might have a psychological effect to boost your thinking skills when choosing the team you want to bet on because if you are claiming that you are lucky, you will have a positive and clear mind to think properly on the best pick. This can be categorized as the adrenaline rush which gives us temporary strength due to our mind thinking.

Again, This is a total crap tradition and not gonna affect the result of the game. It might just give the person a temporary boost on thinking that will be useful for analysis.

I don't particularly have any for starting my games or my session, in particular, I do have some for after though, especially if I'm trying to calm myself from trying to play more. Well rather than a mantra it's more of a method for me to realize that what I'm about to do is incredibly dumb. It's more about trying to listen to ambient sounds, mostly sea/ocean or water sounds in general. It makes me calm down quite a lot, a personal preference really but hey, you might have a specific one for yourself.

There are no spells in gambling because when you play greedily, the spells still won't help you to win. I've had this happen in the past and always hoped it was a moment where I had high hopes for my luck, but because I didn't have good control I still lost everything. Stupidly, it didn't happen once at least I've had it a few times when it was a big loss and it happened because I had my hopes up too high with luck.

Your mantra OP seems quite contrasting to me, the first mantra you recite before the game breeds the positive energy, but the second mantra you recite in the middle of the game is mixed and sends the signals that you are also ready to accept failure/a loss.

I have a private mantra i recite before any activity that i need to get charged up for even gambling, it is private so i can't share here, but one thing is sure, My Mantra doesn't create an option for failure, this should be emulated by all, your mantra should stimulate positive vibes and not create any option for failure so it not considered. Even if failure comes, and bet is lost, my mantra gingers me to want to try again.

Yes. Some people have phrases they mumble under their nostrils repeatedly while gambling. Truth is some even do it unconsciously. Yes, I know it because I have observed a couple of my friends before they place a bet. I just laugh it off because I find it very funny. Personally, I don't believe those "mantras" ever helps anyone win because in gambling, the odds are never in your favour. One the other hand, I feel that these "mantras" provide some sort of succor to those who say them or recite them.

I agree with you, superstitious people use mantras for everything! Some even when they cross the street! I don't see anything wrong with that either, I doubt it helps except that it can calm someone down and give some more hope for a positive outcome, but in the end what needs to happen will happen, with or without the mantra!

I don't believe in all that, so there are no superstitions and mantras in my case! Of course, I always hope to win, but I have too much experience so I know that things don't always go the way we want! For me, gambling is fun, when I have money I gamble and enjoy it while it lasts!
