Last night was very interesting. I think MU vs Lyon was my favorite from the number of goals and quick mood changes. Not surprised to see Lazio got knocked out, even though the match is really tight, but I'm glad that Tottenham managed to win too. I hope they'll go to the final and face Manchester United or Bilbao. That being said, I'm sure semis are going to be harder challenge for them. I wonder if Tottenham will keep Ange if they win this competition but fail to finish above 15th in the EPL. Manchester United knocking out the franch side from Europa League, it does mean something for the Red Devils. They're now changing and transforming to be elite team, becoming s great team was Manchester United. This is the highest level of football I've seen Manchester United played this season under the management of Ruben Amorim and his crew. We watch Manchester United doing the Ramontada at Old Trafford against Marseille Lyonnais in the Europa League. This is really one of the very best performance of the Red Devils, they watch themselves becoming a world class team overnight.

Hate to say it but as I was watching the game (my kid's a Manure supporter), I had to draw comparisons with Klopp's first season at Liverpool.

Inherited a semi-talented team, but did really poor in the league (well, 7th, which isn't SO bad if you take into account we still had an amazing season peppered with brilliant goals and wins, compared to United in bottom half not able to score much and playing headless footie).

Went far in Europa (we did lose in the final, sad) and culminating in amazing QF comebacks (Our 4-3 was far more quality than United's 5-4, but the latter was dripping with drama).

If United win, Amorim really could turn things around... I hope Spurs do though. Either one will remove City from the UCL equation next season, so I need an all-English final haha.

Amorim face was slightly saved after they managed to make a sensational comeback at Old Trafford, now they are in a high level of confidence after managing to maintain an unbeaten record since the start of the season. Although Bodo Glimt were initially not considered in this competition, their success in eliminating Lazio means that this team cannot be underestimated in the semifinals.
Tottenham have made progress in this competition, although they have struggled in the EPL, but have gone further than expected. Regarding Ange future, it is still unclear, only time can tell whether Tottenham will retain him or replace him with another coach.

United didn't win the game because Harry Maguire scored, but it was actually Harry kept Onana away from penalties. lol
I don't know anymore. Its weird being a fan of this team.9 goals in this game and 0 scored by Hojlund.
With the small level of mentality United players have, All hope is lost. United have porous defence. Noussair Mazraoui out - In Luke Shaw. The moment United lost this game.

That Mazraoui sub was very catastrophic but what I think happened was that the player was injured and that’s why the manager too him off. Ruben Amorim doesn’t take Mazraoui off just like that, I think his substitution caused a little imbalance in the back three with Yoro moving to the right side of the defense wasn’t a good move, because Dalot was seriously leaving the young lad exposed most especially when the pacey Fofana came into the match. If Manchester United have a fit Mazraoui I think Shaw will need to start ahead of Dorgu who has been poor in the past few matches for me.

But according to Amorim, in his TnT post-match interview, Mazraoui had to leave due to a personal family issue. Mazraoui came off because of a family emergency, I hope everything is alright.
And Shaw was only supposed to play 30 minutes and ended up playing 75. He’ll be massively in the red zone and likely to get injured.
Anyway, the match was over and United won.

Manchester United-Lyon was a really insane match. It might be the best one I watched in this tournament recently. Amorim was so close to a failure even though Lyon were playing with 10 players. That comeback was great of course but this still doesn't push me away from questioning their future in the Europa League. This is their only chance to qualify for the Champions League. But if they play inconsistently against Athletic Bilbao too then they might not be able to make such a comeback again.

Lyon almost made it really difficult.It is very sad for them to lose the match with 3 goals in the last 6 minutes when they were leading 4-2 in extra time with 10 men away from home.It was an expensive result for them to concede 3 goals in such a short time when they had brought the match this far and managed to take the lead in a match with 10 men.Manchester United's performance is not very encouraging and I think they will most likely be eliminated in the next round.Athletic Bilbao is likely to play the Final at home.

Manchester United showed they can still be champions, they showed good fighting spirit. This is why I continue to say Manchester United shouldn't be underestimated because of their continous inconsistencies, against big teams or in big games they have good chances of winning especially when the players are ready to fight like yesterday.

The game against Athletic bilbao would be a tough one and if they can get pass them to the final, I would say they be victorious.

But I want to give some credit for Bodo/Glimt. Team from Norway without any well known names in their squad reaches Europa league semifinal. They already eliminated names like Lazio, Olympiacos and Twente, and they weren't favorites against none of them

A single win is not enough to assume that Manchester United have come into a good form. They have lost it all in terms of winning majority trophy or even maintaining a good spot in the premier league table, the only consolidation at this point is to fight to win the Europa league which will book a place for them in the champions League. They played well and that we can all see but the question is that, can they continue in the manner till the end of the road? One single game with an absent of concentration is enough to ruin things for them. Arsenal is having same problem with Manchester United but yet, they seems like a team that can get something out of the champions league even though winning the premier is out of sight, if Manchester United can focused on just winning this cup and fight not to be relegated, then they have already achieve a remarkable thing this season.

Tottenham are just some unreliable team, I wouldn't count on them to reach the finals, today they wake up as a top performer, next weekend they are playing like some team ready to be relegated..it will be end of the road for them in the semis.

Manchester United's match against Lyon was one of the best matches of the season, I was surprised when I saw the live score because I left where I was watching the match after Lyon took the lead by two goals and before I looked at the score Manchester bounce back and score 3 goals, yesterday is one of the best days for every Manchester United players and the fan and yesterday will never be forgotten, Imagine losing against one of the best team in league 1 by 2 goals and equalize is something that can never be forgotten.

Yesterday's match shows that Manchester United players can do better and if they play well from the beginning of the season they will end up in a good position this season, Manchester United only depends on this Europa League because that will help them to play in Champions League next season, Manchester United should try and defeat Athletic Club because they are also a strong opponent, Tottenham will easily qualify for the final so Manchester United need to defeat Athletic Club in semi-final.

Tottenham has quite a lot of potential, only, if they are not careful, then it could be like Lazio, defeated by Bodo/Glimt who are not favored.

On the other hand, Man United actually has a more competitive opponent, Athletic Club has a fairly strong lineup, with several front and midfield lines that can be quite troublesome. So, Man United must make extra efforts to be able to beat Bilbao.

I believe its the 1st time in history and I wish they win against Tottenham to reach the finals. That way we would have a new Europa champions whatever team wins.

Manchester United, after having one of the all time worst seasons they ever had, maybe even the worst season they ever had (I do not remember any worse) ended up being in the semi finals of Europa thanks to some amazing football they played.

Today is day of celebrating and that is great, but if you look further, they are about to play Bilbao and that is not going to be easy for them. In fact, if they manage to somehow go to finals and beat Bilbao, they will face someone easier than Bilbao, so right now, this is like early finals. Whoever wins this matchup ,has a higher chance to win the finals, or at least whoever wins this one, will be favourites on oddmakers to win the finals too. We have seen them do great so far at Europa, but this was it, I do not see them beating Bilbao.

Bodø/Glimt shouldn't be underrated in the EL anymore. They are still given the least chance for the trophy. I understand that because of quality differences etc.. However I won't be surprised to see them eliminating Tottenham also...

This will be a dream come true for Amorim, he did not get the love and support from world wide football fans, he was condemned with how his team in the Premier League but we never saw this part of the story where anything becomes possible even the unexpected, this will be a good documentation if United successfully win Europa and book a spot to play in the Champions League. The battle to win is not over or getting easier, semi final against Athletic club will be more fierce than what happened against Lyon.

Uhm , in my opinion , both of them had massive luck to actually reach semi-finals in Europa League as none of them are currently a strong team and I won't be surprised if both of them will be eliminated. Let's be honest,  does United deserve to win the trophy ? I would say no. Does Spurs deserve to win the trophy ? Maybe a bit because this club really doesn't know how lifting a trophy feels like and even if I'm not a fan of them , I won't be upset to see them champions.

However , like you said with Go Espana ...I think the same with Bilbao and I will cheer for them tonight.
