Try walking normally, no need to look for shortcuts by doing prematurely to reach a new rank without effort from yourself. Please come here again when your merit count is less than 25 to reach Legendary, anyone will be willing to help you.

Ehhh....I'm seeing a lot of that in this thread (or maybe it's just my extreme cynicism from years of exposure to members who'll do pretty much anything to rank up).  I'm not sure if people think this is a thread where you'll get merits if you post about how many you need to get to the next rank, but there's obviously a few.

I much prefer the thread where members get to toot their own horn when they actually rank up instead of this one, which seems pointless.  Your merit count is visible, right there for everyone to see, so why would anyone need to post something that's obvious?

For anyone who is lazy to contribute, they will make something that looks like begging, one of which is the post that I quoted above. Obviously there are some of them who are lazy to try to stretch out their hands more often in the hope that someone will give him Merit. I have absolutely no respect for lazy users who choose shortcuts by making countdowns from a long distance.
I also don't want to be hypocritical, I've done it here before. But after getting some suggestions from other users, I started studying trying to improve the quality of the posts which made me successful in promoting to Sr Member.

Maybe this thread is what you mean Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great!.

Good question. The goal is only one, they want to reach something that is across the river with their bare hands. Obviously it is impossible to do without any effort from oneself, at least they need to swim to get what they want.

Well to me i don't see anything wrong if any post their countdown here.
But what i mostly concerned is that they should put efforts and try their best without waiting for someone to get them merited, and i also understand it comes when users seems your post is creative enough or is being helpful so if anyone post their countdown here it's your choice and anyone's choice to merits any user who posted their countdown here then lastly, anyone here may decides to review their profile and see if they made a constructive post before merit any of them.

I hate when a user is too desperate in getting to next level, i know getting to the next rank is a matter of time and patient they should keep pushing definitely they would get to the next.

@Sandra_hakeem Bro it is not possible to give 188 merit here.  This can be applicable if one is not able to move to next rank for 5 to 10 merits.  But here you ask yourself how your remaining 188 merits are possible.  Just giving a countdown will not work, we have to think about whether it will be applicable.

If you try otherwise, you must be successful and make informative posts.  Which will help you advance to the next rank.  thank you....

He tried to quickly upgrade to the next level by expecting generosity from other users without any effort on his part. There was no way someone could help him with that much remaining merit, at least he had to start from himself which could invite the attention of other users to give him a bit of merit that could shorten the distance to up to the next level.
Patience is one way that can be done to resist the urge to immediately go to the next rank, no need to complain even though the number of merits needed is still very far away, sooner or later you will get what you want as long as you keep trying.
