One more thing, don't forget to come back here and contribute for other users while you can.
Even some users can be said to be like peanuts who forget their skins, I mean they seem to forget that they also have to contribute to others. It didn't matter if they didn't intend to stab the backs of the users who often stabbed them with merit, but it could mean they had an unwritten obligation to help other users too.

And there is another saying that also says this "When you do good to others, then it's not that person who will repay it, but someone else". That means one person who helps users rank up, there will be many other people who will help, thus there will never be disconnected from one another to help each other.

But sometimes the proverb is not as smooth as the language we write, in the end we also have to help each other and Yes, don't ever be like a peanut that forgets its skin, because this parable is not good because we have been helped by people.

I rather consider a WO poster as a good poster than a bounty hunter which are they only post applications.

Agreed, the power to award a user the forum nuggets lies in the individual and you need not be apologetic about it!

Though we should be careful not to support spammers on the forum, this will bring attention to you if you do and who knows..you could be brought up for public scrutiny.

Maybe OP should "temporarily" lock the thread for a week or two just to get users familiarize with the thread rules

I don't think the OP needs to lock the thread, he or anyone else just needs to report it to moderator if it breaks the rules.
There is a specific rule that states he can report one or some post from this thread to moderator if it breaks the rules, these are called local rules that everyone must obey.

Unfortunately, this is not a self-moderating thread and therefore the OP can't react to violations other than just reporting them.

Yes. It looks like I'm going to nod my head at what you're saying.
What they did was probably because they were so excited that they didn't realise that their behaviour was no longer in line with the rules.

Like what I did yesterday to one of the members who put the countdown for the next rank. I helped because the distance to the next rank is only 35. For me, that number is very close and reasonable. But if the distance from the countdown to the next rank is in the hundreds, it will be a consideration to help.

honestly, I looked at your post history, it seems like you have to put in a little more effort. You earned 10 merits for now, but for the next rank you will need a lot more, but for that, you really have to improve the way you participate in discussions (at least in the Eng part of the forum).

That's not the biggest problem with this thread. The biggest problem with this thread is that when people see someone's merit application, they send that merit to that application instead of looking at the post history to rate good posts by applicant users, so we see things like this similar crappy merit airdrops, for example:



In fact, this is just a topic where people come and help just send merit, it doesn’t matter to them which post to send, the main thing is to send it. Even though the rules say:

Merit sources, Any one and Everyone watching this topic with lots of sMerit to share might decide to take a look at your post history, to find posts that are Merit worthy to Merit so as to help you ascend.

Those who send merits to the posts of the application, and sometimes in large quantities, send the fuck at once both the meaning of this topic and the merit system itself, which is designed to evaluate good posts, and not useless posts-applications.

I'm actually going to find it hilarious when we find out people are meriting their alts in this way or in this thread in general.

I'm trying to give people the benefit of doubt, but if they cannot read the rules then what's the point?
