Bitcoin is the king of crypto and Ethereum is the queen of altcoins. No one can be more deserving than eth for the position of queen, a good coin after bitcoin and also widely accepted. 10 years have passed, there were many projects born and always wanted to kill, replace, overthrow BTC or ETH but all failed miserably. Looking at projects today there is really no worthy coin to take the place of kings and queens and always will be, no one can challenge bitcoin or eth.

Super true and your explanation is amazing. since 2017 I see Bitcoin is in the first place and until now it is still in the first place. This shows that Bitcoin is always stronger than altcoins every year, so changes in the position of altcoins from 2 - 10 are always there and are always more frequent. I'm sure for next year where Bitcoin will still be the same as now, which is at number 1, so Bitcoin deserves to be said as King because its position is difficult to be taken over by others.

No doubt about that. Since I have known bitcoin, I consider that the altcoin market will always follow where bitcoin moves because bitcoin is the first coin in the crypto and lead the market. The position on the number 2 and the next number will always change but bitcoin is still in the position at number 1. That is why bitcoin will remain as King in the crypto market. Besides that, people who know the crypto market will hear about bitcoin first than the other coins, although right now, people hear about the new project that releases out there, but they will know that bitcoin is the leader in the crypto market.

Probably Tether. Many people keep arguing that Tether was the main reason behind Bitcoin's massive price pump in 2017(and maybe in 2021).

Anyway, comparing Bitcoin to altcoins is pointless at this point. No altcoin is capable of gaining the amount of trust and authority that Bitcoin Core has. Even that imposter BCH altcoin was in the Top 10 list for a while. That's how strong Bitcoin actually is. The altcoins, that are pretending to be Bitcoin actually get to top only because they pretend to be Bitcoin.
I've asked myself multiple times during all those years. Do we really need altcoins? Having competition on the market is great, but no other coin can compete with Bitcoin.

The top 10 cryptocurrencies do not guarantee to last more than 10 years. That changed and Bitcoin remains Bitcoin. Irreplaceable and indeed nothing can replace its position as a promising investment vehicle.

I think the problem is that it’s an "aim" not reality. I mean you do not have to be higher than bitcoin, but it sure doesn't make sense if you create a project with the sole understanding that you will never replace bitcoin. What I always say about the comparison is thinking yourself as a sports player.

If you are going against Nadal, you can't go in to a game with him thinking that you will lose or he is better, you have to think that he is old now, and he is not as good as he used to be, you are better, you are more talented etc etc, you have to tell yourself that otherwise what is even the point of going up against him, just leave.
