just like I predicted, 4xxx is a 3xxx refresh, they did improve something to increase core performance but added additional power consumption.

4090 is an upgrade to those who need that "a bit significant improvement" below 4090, nah they're stupid.

it is like 2xxx "refresh" series during last bear market, it was the 3xxx that matters.

probably the 5xxx is what we need, also at the same time frame the next bull run starts.

According to a video posted by the popular YouTube channel Moore's Law Is Dead, NVIDIA's rumored RTX 4090 Ti was likely to have been released as the RTX Titan Ada. However, its development was recently shelved for multiple reasons, including its voracious power requirements. The channel cites a reliable source claiming that the card has a massive TDP of 600-700W and comes with twin 16-pin power connectors. In addition, the card, which would also have the full AD102 chip rather than the reduced version found on the RTX 4090, is said to take up four slots on the motherboard. It's so large that the folks at NVIDIA would reportedly mount the motherboard on the card rather than doing it the other way around.

It is physically !!! impossible for a smaller node process to be less efficient ...

As a miner you should know such a simple and verifiable fact.

Looks like a refresh, and I hope AMD launch a great product to fight this 4XXX gen of Nvidia.
Nvidia is trying to force a dlls 3 supposed to works only on 4xxx, but it's already broken: https://www.sportskeeda.com/gaming-tech/news-rtx-40-series-exclusive-dlss-3-s-hardware-limitations-broken-modder-achieved-twice-performance-rtx-2070

It doesnt make sense to buy for mining, no coin to make profits even with this "beast", so Nvidia have to sell cards to gamers, and there's no AAA game right now capable of sell more cards of force a new gen of cards.

a crappy design and execution will negate any efficiency a smaller node will have...intel has proven that many times..  just saying.. though that's probably not the case here.

You can have the best process in the world, but have a shit circuit, or shit pcb which will negate a great process... shit is still shit.

it is going to be a boooooooring bear market.

as i said and recommended in the past, miners must have multiple sources of income.

as for mining, stability is still king because the last thing you want is to be pestered by "not profitable rigs" LOL.

This is a photo of a disassembled RTX 4090 video card. Now thermal pads for modern video cards need to be bought in rolls.
The hashrate of the RTX 4090 graphics card has not yet increased much in relation to the competitor RTX 3090, but this may be temporary.

NVIDIA RTX 40 GPU can reach 3.135 GHz clock, shows newly leaked screenshot
What is confirmed though is that the card reached 65.6°C with a hot spot reaching 73.4°C, and that’s with a current power reading of 446.9W. This means we are looking at stock settings with default TDP of 450W. The fan speed reading for two fans shows 1652/1653 RPM, which is a 40% of maximum fan speed.

Another one on Nvidia
https://www.engadget.com/nvidia-cancels-12gb-geforce-rtx-4080-launch-174717906.html

RTX 4080 12gb is now cancelled, only the 16gb version will be released

I don't know you guys, but for me it looks like Nvidia is doing a lot of mistakes, I think there's some trouble's inside

People are saying that's a problem with 4090 ti too, probably too much power to run:

Nvidia is on hard times. You would think they could have influenced MR VB to have delayed the switch until Jan-Feb 2023

Well maybe they have a new coin to push.

Meanwhile billions of dollars of income destroyed by Mr VB.

what are we 30 days in.

so 30 x 20= 600 million gone.

replaced by zero as Stakers can not release the smaller earnings. just a number on a pc so far.

According to the Chiphell post, this cooler was supposed to be used for RTX 40 series with a peak power at 900W.

With the cancelation of TITAN Ada GPUs, one might only wonder how much bigger the cooler would have to be. There were rumors that NVIDIA could be working on 800W Ada GPUs, but thus far nothing has confirmed those rumors. Until now, it seems.

Need to return the concept of game processors? Testing the GeForce RTX 4090 showed that even at 4K, a lot can depend on the CPU
But even there, the gap remains. In 2K it is still quite large, averaging almost 14%. At 4K resolution, which is the most interesting in this case, the difference drops to 6.5%. And one could consider it insignificant, but again you need to look at the particulars. Among the 53 games in 14 games the difference was above 10%, in 11 games it exceeded 15%, and in four projects it was above 20%. That’s a lot when it comes to 4K and gaming tasks.

Thus, it turns out that the Ryzen 7 5800X is not able to fully load the RTX 4090. And it is not yet clear whether the Core i9-12900K is capable – you need to wait for tests with the Core i9-13900K and the new Ryzen 7000. In any case, when buying a new Nvidia flagship for games, the choice of CPU should also be approached carefully.

Did someone know what is the motherboard requirement for the GPU to work? I mean I tried it on older H61 and H81 Pro Btc motherboards but it didn't work. On AMD B450 it is working perfectly.

Have you tried mining with RTX 4090 graphics card on H61 and H81 Pro Btc motherboard?
If you connect this video card to the 16x port, then there should be no problems. I have no data on how this video card works through the raisers. But the payback period of this video card now is   -  never.

When you did get it working on the AMD B450 motherboard, what was your take on the temperature and noise of the fan. I’ve read on these forums that people are having problems with them overheating a great deal but I haven’t seen enough people comment their experiences to know if these cards are something that should be avoided due to heat issues.

All powerful graphics cards since the RTX 3070ti series have overheating issues due to memory and bad thermal pads. It is necessary to use special closed cases with good cooling and it is advisable to change thermal pads.In any case, you will face this problem in 6 months or a year.

It is on the x16 slot but it is not recognized by the motherboard, I don't know why.

When you did get it working on the AMD B450 motherboard, what was your take on the temperature and noise of the fan. I’ve read on these forums that people are having problems with them overheating a great deal but I haven’t seen enough people comment their experiences to know if these cards are something that should be avoided due to heat issues.

The temperatures are okay, you can check on my videos mining different algos: RTX 4090 Hashrates Playlist - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=561nJJrl2Xk&list=PL0X8pLdX8UE6dOZrgrUk9bV3YOAKk9HKI&index=1

125 megahash at 292 watts. This video card looks very bad for the ethash algorithm now. I saw forecasts that this video card will later be overclocked to 160 megahash.
For this video card, you need to come up with a new coin on a more adapted algorithm for core performance.
