Did someone know what is the motherboard requirement for the GPU to work? I mean I tried it on older H61 and H81 Pro Btc motherboards but it didn't work. On AMD B450 it is working perfectly.
Have you tried mining with RTX 4090 graphics card on H61 and H81 Pro Btc motherboard?
If you connect this video card to the 16x port, then there should be no problems. I have no data on how this video card works through the raisers. But the payback period of this video card now is   -  never.

It is on the x16 slot but it is not recognized by the motherboard, I don't know why.

When you did get it working on the AMD B450 motherboard, what was your take on the temperature and noise of the fan. I’ve read on these forums that people are having problems with them overheating a great deal but I haven’t seen enough people comment their experiences to know if these cards are something that should be avoided due to heat issues.

The temperatures are okay, you can check on my videos mining different algos: RTX 4090 Hashrates Playlist - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=561nJJrl2Xk&list=PL0X8pLdX8UE6dOZrgrUk9bV3YOAKk9HKI&index=1

Nice video. I gave you some merits

125 megahash at 292 watts. This video card looks very bad for the ethash algorithm now. I saw forecasts that this video card will later be overclocked to 160 megahash.
For this video card, you need to come up with a new coin on a more adapted algorithm for core performance.

It is pretty much like the 2080ti was to the 1080ti.

As a mining device it is crap go find a 3090 better yet get a pair of 3060ti's

Thank you!
There is a BIOS update for my RTX 4090, the release note is: "Resolve no display issue before the driver loading with some mobo when booting the system." It still cannot work on older Intel Pro BTC motherboards after the update, but I tried it on AMD AM3 motherboard and it is working.
But there is one bigger problem - the GPU cannot run on an x1 to x16 PCI-E Extender on my B450 motherboard, any suggestions why is that?

It's time to review the new GeForce RTX 4080, Nvidia's latest $1,200 GPU, which is a massive 71% increase over the RTX 3080's MSRP, though of course Nvidia would prefer we forget that was ever a thing and instead focus on the $1,200 3080 Ti.

Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti may cost around $500, reports suggest
In a recent report, it was revealed that the RTX 4060 Ti may cost just under $500, a slight increase from the MSRP of the RTX 3060 Ti. This price rise is in-line with generational MSRP uplifts on Nvidia 40-series GPUs.

I think that the price of this card is reasonable compared to the other price increases we have seen from the old generation to the new one. However I am not expecting an increase in the hash rate if the 4060 ti since it will still be an 8 GB card, and as such in hash rate a maximum this card can have because of the new technology should be near 70-73 Mhsh on the most optimistic scenario. They have improved at a point though, the power consumption by default here is 160 watt much different from the 3060 ti which it was 220 or 200 watt as a default and when tuned got to 120 watt, maybe this tuned goes to 100 watt making it the most efficient card for mining until now.

Do you compare new graphics cards and their electricity consumption by Ethereum hashrate?
In Russia RX 570 8 GB costs $75 right now and this video card has a good potential for downvolting on the Ethash algorithm, but the problem is that miners do not need these video cards now due to low profit.

Anyone managed to make it work on an extender? A saw a picture of 3 of them working on one rig, but I don't know what was the motherboard. On MSI B450 it is not working on extender. Please, if someone has it working on an extender, tell me what is your motherboard?

NVIDIA’s quad-slot RTX 40 800W GPU pictured Smiley
Hardware leaker MEGAsizeGPU has revealed the design of the upcoming NVIDIA RTX 40 GPU.
The leaker claims that the card is RTX 4090 Ti/TITAN, so the final name of this graphics card is not confirmed. However, we can see that the PCB board number is PG137. This was previously mentioned board number for the so-called ‘Beast’ GPU with maximum TDP at 800W.

I usually do that comparison because it is the one who has worked great for me in order to get the best out of the hash rate for a card and what better tool of comparison than that of the Ethash algorithm which is now being used by EthereumPoW and EthereumFair.

I know that we are running at a loss but when I buy a new video card,I aim for the long run despite running at a loss and I want to mine as many of these new coins like EthereumPoW and EthereumFair as possible while maintaining the lowest level of energy consumption, right now I am mining with one 3060 ti and one 2060 12 GB and the maximum power consumption is 250 watt together with other parts measured at the wall with a Watt meter, the hash rate is 97 Mhsh.
I know the new generation of cards will upgrade this by running let's say the 4060 ti at 75 Mhsh for 100 watt and that is how I see the upgrade in performance of graphic cards, but anyone has their own idea.

You are very mistaken if you use nvidia video cards for the ethash algorithm.

I agree that we have been mining ethereum for 7 years, and all calculations were made for this algorithm, but now we have to look for other solutions for profitable mining.

RTX 4050 series also spotted, although I doubt it would be that much of an interest - https://www.techradar.com/news/nvidia-rtx-4060-and-4050-gpus-spotted-but-dont-get-your-hopes-up-too-much
