After your post, It's been a week and eth price is remain almost same. So i don't think it could drop much again due to the merge but possible for bear market. If whole market goes down for bear attack, then why not eth? But after pos,  eth is changed from its origin. Athough all know It'll be bounce back soon but if you invest for short term then its okey to sell if your satiated or afraid to lose more

Ethereum did experience a decline due to the merge, but the decline was still reasonable and Ethereum did not fall too deep. Even compared
to Ethereum price one week ago Ethereum is up about 3%, so there is no need to worry about Ethereum performance. Moreover, Ethereum is
a popular coin with strong fundamentals, so we must be optimistic that Ethereum will recover and will return to the ATH price. Therefore it is
better for now when the price of Ethereum is low enough we collect as much Ethereum as possible, after that we will hold the Ethereum until

it was definitely caused by the rumour of the merging increasing the value and when the merging actually occurred so many people that invested in eth makes a major sell off from their disappointment that nothing really changed in eth.

This was supposed to happen. Buy the rumor sell the news. The rumor was the merge. People rushed in to  buy Ethereum. People were FOMOing, it was over brought and price went up a lot. The news is the merge taking place. Once the merge took place, people started selling their excess Ethereum to take tall the profit and reinvest in other coins. The price isn't dropping. It is correcting.

You shouldn't be worried if you invested for long term. Keep holding and the price will go up eventually.

the merger itself is considered ethereum's biggest event to date, which will mark a major turning point for the entire eth ecosystem. this is a major milestone for eth since launch

have to say people are too Fomo, we are in a bear market and people were hoping that ethereum will go high after the merge. but in the end, things did not go as expected, causing a series of investors panic and dumping

this is not necessarily bad so you don't need to worry if you are investing for the long term eth is the best coin after btc so you can totally benefit if you hold it long term

the merge is overrated, and the rumour already makes the value increase quite high even in the middle of corrections trend, I think if eth eventually goes back following the trend again and didn't became independent against btc it's normal. but we might see some really huge increase once the bullrun finally comes in, maybe with the merge it could further become the thing that helps eth increase its value arond the bullish even further than before the merge.

But the price of eth did really pump before the actual event happens so if you sell on those times then congrats but if you sell a little late then maybe you are one of those who got disappointed. The people complaining about their lack of results are the same people which always end up holding the bag after we see coin pumping and then it dumps right after they buy, they want to be so sure in the moves they are making that by the time they finally take the decision to invest in a coin it is too late and the coin has nowhere else but to go down, and all of this deal with the merge is the same, those people had a lot of time to invest in ethereum but they did not do so until the merge was very close, and as such they missed on all the growth that happened during the months prior to it.

Maybe if we are new in the market seems to be worrying enough but for us who have been here for many years, the drops are just a normal scenario in the market.
