If you are worried about the drastic drop that ethereum could go through, you better sell ethereum before something happens to you. But if you can still hold on, you can hold it longer while waiting for the price to increase again. The current decline is not only happening on ethereum but experienced by almost all coins. This is only temporary because there will be another bull run moment in the future. This was supposed to happen. Buy the rumor sell the news. The rumor was the merge. People rushed in to  buy Ethereum. People were FOMOing, it was over brought and price went up a lot. The news is the merge taking place. Once the merge took place, people started selling their excess Ethereum to take tall the profit and reinvest in other coins. The price isn't dropping. Can you even withdraw your assets? I hear stETH by lido isn't fully collateralized and other platforms won't let you unstake. If you staked ETH there isn't much you can do except pray at this point. To make matters worse, there is no date for the staking unlock and L1 transaction scaling isn't even on the roadmap!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a dead end chain, a trap, and now insiders and vc are going to slowly exit their positions by dumping on retail investors who locked up all of there coins for a measly 3-4% APY. If you are going to stake something you should be able to unstake it and rewards should be 10%+. There are reasons on why eth are still on the second place and won't overcome btc easily. It can be because of its supply because we know that eth has an unknown supply before but now that it was upgraded to eth 2.0 I think its supply is known now but it might still be higher than on what btc have. Only BTC holds the title of the best investment. ETH can only come second next to it and maybe followed by BNB if we want more in our stash? We can also add in the stable coins for extra stability and have something to use for DCA'ing if we are in to longer terms of investing but id prefer Tether with this more than  USDC due to what happened with it lately.

ETH supply is much higher than in BTC and other cryptos so I won't say that ETH will increase very high. There are also other factors on why some people don't invest or trust ETH. This affects its growth but it is still possible for it to have another ATH. It will only need to recover and pass its old ATH even just a little.
