Just as the story you've provided, the gambler bet more than his winnings as he felt extremely lucky at the time. I think this is a common scenario for most gamblers as I, myself experience this. The closest cases I have seen personally are of those people that used to play bingo at the neighborhood of my grandmother, it was a daily event where people used to gather at dusk to play. Gambling is never easy and every gamblers should get ready to lose because that is what makes us a real gamblers, having the ability and ready to lose and come back to make better winnings. This is a scenario where every gamblers can relate.
