2 associates nations beating 2 previous world champions convincingly tell you the story. When it comes to associate nations, I would prefer such upsets any day in WC and it would be amazing if these guys continue this kind of performance in the next group as well and potentially beat more teams, especially BIG-3 (Ind+Aus+Eng), they could use some humbling. 

And most importantly in this process, I hope ICC wakes up and starts funding em more at least for LOIs

Big 3 are not that weak! These new teams are not at all consistent and lack experience. As an example just go through the highlights of Ireland with Zimbabwe. They started well but fail to capatalize it. Next was Namibia with Netherlands, this was the same team that gave a humiliating defeat to Srilanka.

Big 3s are far far away from these new teams. They need more time, bilateral, trilateral game and experience to defeat them. I still feel there are a bunch of players in these new teams who can get more experience and expertise if they get selected in franchise league which I think would happen after the T20WC.

I think you have to be more polite because here all things are not for Big-3 it's all about game and its development which is more important than these Big-3 politic which is surely currently hurting this game badly and stopping many associate countries from their bright future and development of this game if they will give them better funding then surely we will have improved quality and better results from them in the future.

Even right now, these minors are able to have positive results against Big-3, but they can as we have history of upsets in many events specially in cricket where big teams loses against them badly things like these still going on many associate countries have good players which need better facilities and chances for giving their best so here ICC role is key for this all development and progress of this game, but they are not doing as they need to be done.

In the Group A, it is really going down the wire. Netherlands have 4 points from 2 matches, but their next match is against Sri Lanka. Now Namibia and Sri Lanka are both at 2 points, but the Africans are ahead in terms of net run rate. And Namibia's next match is against UAE. If they win this match, then they will go to the Super-12. The fight for second position in Group A will be between Netherlands and Sri Lanka. Given the poor NRR of Netherlands, if Sri Lanka wins the match, then they will qualify to the next stage as the second team.

Now seems to be the time to back the better odds, in which case Netherlands should have been the regular choice too even though Namibia are really that good and with qualification on this game I don't think we needed to look far.

I don't know what was going through the mind of the Irish captain, as he gave just two overs to his best bowler (Curtis Campher). Barry McCarthy on the other hand bowled full quota of 4 overs, and conceded 59 runs in total. And you are right. Ireland will be making their exit from the world cup, and it is almost confirmed that Scotland will sail through the Super-12 stage. Feels bad about Ireland. I definitely did the right thing in the end, and there was definitely one big super partnership in the end, Campher and Dockrell saved their team and are still alive! Now if only they can keep this up, I think even when they only needed 1 from 7 balls people were still praying on the team lol

What a shit show by Zimbabwe! This defeat proves that they were over confident and ignored all the warnings. I am also pretty much sure that this Zimbabwe team is completely dependent on one single guy, Sikandar Raza.

One of the primary reason that I can quote is that because of him they were able to restrict West Indies as he was the only bowler to get 3 important wickets when required.

The top batters of Zimbabwe were drooling with over confidence if you do not believe me just check the two wickets that were taken by Joseph in the early overs. What made them think it is proven by their humiliating defeat today.

I think it is a lot to do with the in experience of the Zimbabwe team but it is still a young team which needs to work a lot and not be dependent on one single guy. I also think Sikander Raza might get an entry in one of IPL franchise as an all rounder.

It was really frustrating to see both Scotland and Namibia lose their respective matches. Ireland looked completely out of sorts in the first match, but they made a strong rebound to defeat probably the strongest team in their group. This may be due to inexperience. Namibia never played any international matches after their outing in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Scotland on the other hand, played just two matches in one year. However, Netherlands is part of the ODI World Cup Super League, and they were playing against the full members quite often.
