Tomorrow we have Srilanka vs Australia. Though it seems impossible to win for Srilanka, I wouldn't surprise if Aussies have another worst day after the first match. The odd is juicy enough for Srilankan. I may wait for few overs and place the bet during the match though the odd won't be that juicy at that time

Sri Lanka is the same team that lost out to Namibia in the first stage. They had comfortable victories against Netherlands and Ireland, but at no point it looked as if they are one of the favorites to lift the trophy. On the other hand, Australia had perhaps the worst defeat for any team so far, when New Zealand defeated them by close to 100 runs. But in T20 fortunes change in a matter of days and today's match is quite unpredictable. BTW, toss will surely have a big impact on the outcome for today's match.

Srilankan team can defeat Australia. The condition at the moment are more suitable for pace bowling but Srilanka does have a few cunning spinners who can use this wicket to their benefit. At the moment Srilankan batters need to form a partnership and go after the bad balls. If they are able to set a target of 150+ then it would not be easy for Australia to chase those runs.

Another wicket fell for the Sri Lankan team. If this partnership of Sri Lanka had developed well then the Sri Lankan team would have had a chance to win. Dhananjaya de silva was out at this moment. His total collection was 26 runs off 23 balls. Pathum Nissanka he is performing well on the field. His total was 36 runs off 42 balls. To win the Australian team must bowl better. And to win, Sri Lanka must score a minimum of 180 runs. However, Sri Lanka can win against Australia. Moreover, Australia is already very strong from Sri Lanka.

Good comeback by the Srilankan side. At one point they were struggling to hit a 4 or a 6 and even struggling to get singles. They also lost wicket in quick succession but in the last over they got 20 runs which helped them to go beyond 150 runs. A target of 158 runs for Australia will not be that easy. 

Australia did everything right untill the end overs. The last over of Cummins coated him 36 runs. Another issue with the Australian side in this match was the number of extra runs they gave to Srilanka. They bowled 12 wide which according to me shows how uncertain & distrust they were with themselves after their loss with Newzealand.

Australian batters need to work on their partnership and someone from the team needs to take the ownership to lead the team till the end. The pitch is difficult but those runs can be chased if the Australian batters remain calm and hit those odd bad balls.

David Warner is out. Introduction of spin bowling in the form of Maheesh Theekshana has given the Lankans their first wicket. He (Warner) never looked comfortable out there, and was struggling against the Lankan pacemen (Lahiru Kumara and Chamika Karunaratne). Now it is up to the Australian middle-order to stabilize their innings (Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis and Tim David). As things stand now, Australia is on their way for a second consecutive defeat in the Super-12 stage, which will make it very difficult for them to qualify for the semi-finals.

Australia chose to bowl which showed their confidence and immediately put pressure on Sri Lankans, who were discussed by most commentators that agreed they needed at least 150 to have a chance, and they achieved that minimum. However, Australia were just too hot, by 40 minutes already reached half target with plenty.

Sri Lanka had the upper hand when Maxwell got out. The score was 89/3 after 12.2 overs. Australia needed another 69 runs from 7.4 overs and it was looking very tight. And this was when Marcus Stoinis entered the crease. In the next 4.1 overs, Australia scored the required (69) runs, at a rate of almost 17 runs per over. The bowling (especially spin) just disintegrated in front of Stoinis. From a winning position, Sri Lanka nosedived to a huge defeat, which had a bad impact on their NRR as well.

I guess you need to play well to get yourself into the prime position in the first place.. With Australia and England losing matches early, it really opens up the pool!!

I used a freebet on South Africa - Zimbabwe match and it got voided (so I basically lost the freebet), so yes definitely don't want any more games to fall victim to rain again.

Disappointing day in T20 World Cup. The first match (England vs Ireland) was interrupted by rain, and the second one got washed out. Now there will be endless discussions about the suitability of the DLS method, but IMO Ireland got well deserved points today. The points table looks quite messed up in Group 1, and New Zealand is narrowly ahead with 3 points from 2 matches (give attention to the standings, because top-4 will gain direct entry to the T20 world cup in 2024, from both the groups).

Unlucky for New Zealand, it can be argued. But since the match was abandoned without a single ball being bowled, the teams need to share points. Both New Zealand and Afghanistan will get one point each from today's match. New Zealand's case is much better than what happened to England today. Their match against Ireland was also affected by rain. But the difference is that Ireland ended up with full two points, as they were ahead in the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method. England fans were furious, but they should be blaming their own batsmen first.
