Amazing day after terrible rain spoilage from yesterday, South Africa took the easiest win so far, Netherlands were the biggest underdogs (I took @13.2) but seriously guys, do not bowl short to Rohit Sharma haha. I have been following this thread for quite sometime now and it is evident there are users that follow blindly Pakistan team. What happened today was not expected by anyone! Still it happened as Pakistan lost the only match they thought would have helped them to get a berth on the semifinals.

My opinion was that Pakistan bowlers were clumsy and especially Shaheen Afridi. Regardless of the bowlers the problem rely on the batters. None of them were able to achieve as they all wanted to attack the Zimbabwe bowlers. As expected that back fired that resulted Pakistan losing the match. It might also result them not able to get a berth in the semifinals..

Some gamblers will start avoiding their team. I can never accept Pakistan losing to Zimbabwe. I myself have faced huge losses. Was not aware of the the Pakistani Mr Bean, searched online for that and it looks like a good impersonation. The problem Pakistan had coming into this tournament is their middle order and even in this match they failed to perform and it was an unexpected upset as i thought Pakistan would chase down the total.

Two unexpected upsets in the form of Ireland against England and now Pakistan. Expecting further upsets if rain disrupts the match and duckworth lewis method is really confusing as the number of wickets lost is taking as the main aspect in determining the result  .

The odds are good and in favor of Afghanistan. I also truly believe that Afghanistan should be able to win the match. I know that Ireland got a win against England, but that was pure luck. I think Afghanistan has what it takes to beat Ireland. Of course, unless there is another rain introduction and we end the match with the DLS method.

I really have no idea how Zimbabwe even dared to defend that small total, but they did. They won against Pakistan by one run. I have seen the match, it was really unpredictable towards the end. Anyone could have gotten away with the win. But when the Zimbabwe wicketkeeper missed trying to grab the ball thrown towards him to get the run out on the last ball my heart skipped a beat.

But eventually, he was able to do it. I think Pakistan just played too poorly, especially in the second innings. Pakistan has given away 14 extra runs in this match including 6 wide balls which came back to hurt them pretty badly.

It just not bad but the right word here should be worst planning by ICC. If today's match gets cancelled due to the rain then Ireland would be in a very comfortable position to get into the semifinals. Afghanistan is far better than the Irish team and they need a chance to prove it. The forecast for Melbourne is rain for this week and the next one too. I hope the second match doesn't ends in the same fate as the first one for today.

I assume Pakistan can beat Bangladesh and Netherlands. But to beat Africa they will have to improve their standard of play much more and also depend on their luck. If they lose like Zimbabwe, the same thing can happen in the other 3 remaining countries as well. So there will have much difficulties for Pakistan.

If Pakistan can lose to Zimbabwe, then there is a chance that they will lose to Netherlands as well. On top of that, now a lot of matches are getting washed out. So there is always a chance that Pakistan may not get full points from their matches against these two countries (Bangladesh and Netherlands). They need to finish within the top 2, in order to qualify for the semi-finals. That is looking very unlikely now, after they ended up with 0 points from 2 matches (lost both their matches till now, the first one being against India).
