First, congratulation on your win it sure is a reason to celebrate and brag about it, but I doubt you are going to quit, the temptation to continue playing or bet in the future like a week or month from now is very tempting, you will always remember your winning and once you see a fight or a game that you think will give you a chance to win I'm sure you're going to go for it, never say never I read and heard it a thousand times before.

That's what will probably happen to OP, it's highly likely that he will continue gambling another time and will stop for a moment to enjoy his winnings. He might lay low rather than stop as he already knows the feeling of winning such a huge amount. Just like the rest been saying that quitting gambling is unlikely considering that you are making money and if you target out on quitting on 2023 then it would really be that unlikely considering that you are still

making money through it.Even myself cant really resist the temptation on making out more bets if you do know that you've been hitting big neither on online casinos or on sports betting which is something that not everybody could pull it out.
2023 is still few months ahead and hopefully op, you wont be losing up all of those winnings on that time span considering that it wont really be that much of a big money

10500 dollars winning can be a reasonable amount of winning that can make someone quit gambling for a while depending on you location because to some other players here 1500 dollars plus $9,000 winning is still a small amount that they are still ready to risk with playing more games.

Congratulations on your very nice winnings! 10.5k profit is really nice but since your winnings are so large I would wager a guess that your bets are also quite grand. I feel like you might be leaving out the amount you lost when before that :S But I do not want to bring your mood down, so I will just say congrats.

I also applaud the incredibly smart decision to step away from gambling for a while so you can cool down from the excitement of winning that much money. It would be in human nature to continue gambling because you "feel" as if you are on some sort of "lucky streak". And consequentially losing all your money by doing so. I know thats exactly what I would do in your position. :S

your chances of being able to hold yourself back from other bets I think are only 50%, those who have won big in gambling will find it difficult not to gamble for a long time, especially next year when the money you win can be used as capital to multiply your profits even more. but good luck trying to make yourself resist that gambling desire.

I am not surprised at all that you decided to quit for a while after a good win.
I have made the same decision several times during these years (likewise I am placing just few bets each year and no more for some consecutive months).
I think that the approach "not compulsory" is just an advantage for a player.

That is why I stated that his quit is only temporary.  If he got bored and had nothing to do, he might end up playing again.  We know how minds and desire work.  If we hit our goal, there is another goal that will open up along the path.  The same goes with gambling.  IF we win huge, stop temporarily, and after sometime will go back to hunting huge win again.

As I understand it wasn't a common stake for you and you made it because you've recently won $9000 from a fat finger mistake. Since you are a regular gambler you should really take this behavior seriously because when a regular gambler starts to place risky bets with big amounts it shows he's starting to get addicted to risk and big wins. It's the worse thing it can happen to a gambler, because if he loses he will start to borrow money and to fall into very bad troubles for him and his family. I hope you will stay responsible.
