I am not accusing any person of cheating.
Neither am I.

Quote
I am only telling everyone that a sportsbook or a casino would begin doing standard background checks on the account and certainly if the account is new. If a casino is not strict, does not do any background checks and sends the money to the user right away without questions, I reckon the casino will be a target for scammers, moneylaunderers and cheaters. The casino might also become bankrupt in 2 years hehehe.
Trusted casinos do it for good but scam casinos do it for their own benefit not for user benefit.

I agree with you that casinos will go bankrupted very quickly, not within 2 years if they are not able to detect scammers and cheaters on their platforms. Especially nowadays with common use of bots, if serious holes are found by cheaters, they will exploit it very aggressively and force that casino to a verge of bankruptcy very quickly. Or if casinos reject to pay them, their reputation will be damaged.

I'm not saying there's a KYC problem here, but I'm saying that KYC at a trusted casino isn't a big problem as long as it's really needed. like when you want to withdraw large funds that exceed the maximum limit set by this casino and you are asked to send KYC to be able to withdraw all of your large funds.
although I have only been on CoinPlay a few times, I believe that this casino has no problems with withdrawals and KYC.
KYC on a trusted casino site is your biggest security.  Because if you don't do KYC you may face any problem in betting or withdrawing big amount. And a trusted casino site will never publish your KYC documents or use them for any other malicious purpose.  So in this case you can have no fear or doubt to do kyc on trusted site. So you can feel free to complete the verification by uploading the KYC documents on a trusted casino site.
as long as withdrawing funds from the casino does not exceed the specified limit, I don't think I will be asked for KYC verification like what I experienced.
and what we have to understand, the problem is that no matter how good the security at gambling is, sometimes there are leaks of customer personal data carried out by hackers or deliberately leaked by the casino employees themselves.

but if we as gamblers already believe in one of the casinos and want to take that risk, I don't think it's a problem.

However, do you not reckon that in many occurences when the winner is a new account that has not yet passed all the KYC requirements, the casino should be very careful in giving a very big win without carefully checking all the details of the person?
It is always weird if a new user created an account and shortly later won very big. It looks like that user is an expert in gambling and do know how to make exploitation on the casino.

I am sure if a winner falls into such type, a casino will do seriously consider KYC request before processing withdrawal that should be big.

Quote
If it is an old account that has been gambling in the casino for years, there would certainly be a good argument.
That is true on all platforms. If you are a very old user and has very clean history, good reputation, it's a big support for your account and any accusation against you.

I am not accusing any person of cheating. I am only telling everyone that a sportsbook or a casino would begin doing standard background checks on the account and certainly if the account is new. how do you perform a "standard background check" on a brand new account? specially if you deposit through crypto, what kind of information can you get from running a "background check"? i dont think you should be able to withdraw 10k usd instantly, but i dont see a reason why you would need to go through several security checks after you place a withdrawal request of 300usd. plus, like i have stated before, KYC or "background checks" don't actually provide the casino with very useful information, its more of a tool to make sure you are who you claim to be, and that when they ban you, you cant comeback. when your account gets flagged, most likely it wasn't a casino employee manually looking at your bet history, it was triggered by an automated script that deemed you a "non profitable user" and the same you are trying to make money off the casino, they are doing the same to you. when you are no longer a source for them to profit from, they decide to limit/ban you. i might be wrong here, but i think you overestimate the power of "scammers" and "cheaters" at casinos.

Most likely this is the reason some gamblers out there are so against KYC on all its forms, security breaches are incredibly common, if you take the time to research the topic you will see that even companies like Facebook end up leaking the information of millions of their users all the time, and taking into account how some criminals may use that information many gamblers are fearful their personal information could end up being sold at the black markets, and this could then cause them huge problems on their everyday lives.

I believe any person have a facebook account, it means almost people's identity already leaked in the first place.

Anyway identity breach or bad usage isn't only happen in casino, did you forget you've submitted your identity on a centralized exchange? banks? school and university? companies? someone who claim himself as a police or surveyor? there's a lot places you've share your identities, except you've avoid all of them which is impossible.

there are many cases of data leakage in my country, it's even true what you said not only in casinos but many more such as online shopping sites and personal information data on government sites, indeed if you look at it there is no safe place on the internet so why worry and oppose this KYC anyway If we look only at one side, for example, a casino that implements KYC and thinks it's not safe, whether other places are also safe, I don't think so, as long as KYC is requested by the casino to prevent money laundering or other prohibited actions, why should we avoid it. if we are the right people it's ok to give that KYC as long as the casino is reputable too. that's in my opinion

i imagine; if i am an operator on a gambling site, i will suspect the new account that wins big and then withdraws all the winning funds (i will definitely make it difficult for the account to withdraw and conduct a 24-hour investigation of the new account because the site that is running will definitely go bankrupt if i trivialize it lol)

i'm sure there are many fraudsters who try to take advantage of the loopholes that appear on gambling sites, the tricks they use have the aim of getting their own profit and one of the tricks is to create a new account (possibly an alt account) to launch their deceptive tricks.

If you don't do kyc verification on a gambling site or an Exchanger then you must accept a deposit and withdrawal limit and you can never deposit or withdraw large amounts without KYC.  So in this case we should definitely choose a trusted casino site and feel free to complete the kyc verification and gamble there without worry. When you go to gamble at a new casino site, you may be confused about the site.  So it is definitely better to choose a trusted casino site and do kyc there. coinplay is almost trust so complete kyc here is also not a problem in my opinion

It is true that it is impossible to avoid revealing your identity and to have your documents stored on the computer of someone else in this world, but at the same time it is not as if we are going to give away our documents to every single entity that ask us that information, so some kind of balance must be reached, and there are gamblers out there that if they were asked for that information by the casino in which they are playing they will refuse to give them away, even if it means losing whatever money they had at the casino.

When you do KYC, if you have to, you will have to make digital files and send them to exchanges or platforms. People can make a bad practice by storing those files on their devices after they submit KYC.

I practice like this, after I submit documents for KYC, I delete those files on my computers, laptops, mobile phones because it does not mean anything to store them. Storing them will put you under more risks like someone get access to your device, your device is stolen, hacked etc.

I know deleting files simply does not erase all data and traces but it reduces risk. At least you won't show your digital documents to others. For experts, they can play with your disks and recover erased data to find something but it is another deeper story.

as long as withdrawing funds from the casino does not exceed the specified limit, I don't think I will be asked for KYC verification like what I experienced.
and what we have to understand, the problem is that no matter how good the security at gambling is, sometimes there are leaks of customer personal data carried out by hackers or deliberately leaked by the casino employees themselves.

but if we as gamblers already believe in one of the casinos and want to take that risk, I don't think it's a problem.
Most likely this is the reason some gamblers out there are so against KYC on all its forms, security breaches are incredibly common, if you take the time to research the topic you will see that even companies like Facebook end up leaking the information of millions of their users all the time, and taking into account how some criminals may use that information many gamblers are fearful their personal information could end up being sold at the black markets, and this could then cause them huge problems on their everyday lives.
the conclusion is that doing KYC on one of the trusted casino sites depends on each gambler who feels he really needs something important, such as withdrawing large funds or anything that requires KYC, you can consider it. but if a gambler does refuse and is concerned about anonymity, then it's better not to do it.
I realize that the danger of selling someone's personal data that is leaked by the platform owner is very bad and of course there are always thoughts of fear if such a problem occurs.

the most important thing is do whatever you want to do while you are able to accept all the risks that will get and always see the reputation of the casino before doing KYC, it will be better.

I agree with this because there are not a few gamblers who push their own abilities so that in the end they only get regret.
It is important to know your own abilities so that you can set limits when doing everything.
Regarding KYC gamblers don't need to think about it too much because there are so many casinos that have a good reputation and guarantee the safety of every gambler who plays there so that we as gamblers don't worry when giving KYC to the casinos we use.
A little advice from me, it's always important to do research on every casino you choose.

hello guys

I just registered on coinplay today and deposited some money. I made a few bets and finally realized that I couldn't log into my account. I sent an e-mail to the security team. They sent me the text below and did not give me my money. I have never withdrawn money.

If you notice, they didn't open my account even though I only had to withdraw the deposited amount.

First you need to understand why your account got suspended. Read the email carefully and it is written clearly that you have violated some terms and condition. May we know what did you do exactly after depositing the money  Huh

Secondly, also let us know how much money did you deposit ? Also you said you made few bets, did you won those bets or lost them ?
How much is the total money left in your account ?

Off course many other members of the forum have the same mindset similar to both of us because only criminals and abusers are afraid of getting caught up unless for those who are highly privacy concerned, but for a law abiding citizens who are just out to live their normal life I don't think we will have many problems with KYCs.

-As we know the integral role KYC plays in financial sectors and private financial service providers in our societies and how we can't do without them.
