First time of owning bitcoin

When I first bought and owned bitcoin, my reaction was normal and nothing different. What's different is that at that time, I dared to buy bitcoin with my own money while people didn't know what bitcoin was. There was no extraordinary feeling then because, maybe at that time, the price of bitcoin was not as high as it is now.

But when the bitcoin price increased, and I looked at my bitcoin value then, I was very surprised because I never imagined that the bitcoin price could soar. That's one of the things that made me stick with bitcoin as my main investment.

There are different feelings when you hold your bitcoins for the first time like some people are happy they have invested in it and will get returns in the future but for some it's financial freedom breaking the central chain of authority and they can spend their funds where it is accepted and can make inter transfer from their wallets to anyone without any third party software.So for me it was mix feeling of happy,joy and excitement and it is still the same now.

Mine was never forgotten because the first few bitcoins I had back then were from faucets and it was hard-earned because I gathered them slowly for about a week. I used them to try trading for the first time and it was an amazing experience that I never forget until now. But the bad thing I did was I migrated the investment to cloud mining and added some money from my pocket which turned out to be the worse experience I had with bitcoins because it became a scam after a few weeks of inputting my money there. Back then I never knew the two were completely different from each other until I learned all the necessary information right here in this community.

What’s the main reason why you purchased your Bitcoin? Most people usually feels excited because of the possible profit for the future price. I didn’t undergo on this stage because I get my first Bitcoin through faucets and campaigns here. I just have the experience on buying Bitcoin when the P2P on exchange using our local wallet is already available but I’m surprise that you are not excited by the time you are making a not so typical investment of your life.

I believe if I manage to experience purchasing Bitcoin by the time it was not popular. I will be more excited on my first purchase rather than when the price pump because I’m expecting already that the price will grow in the future that’s why I’m investing on it.

I was even expressionless as the Bitcoin numbers knocked my account. Like nothing special. When the Bitcoin came in, I was still busy analyzing other coins I should buy besides Bitcoin. So maybe that makes me lose the feeling of joy.

Me too, I remember the first time I bought bitcoin, and the price of bitcoin was around $300. It wasn't a high price, and I didn't feel special until my bitcoins suddenly almost doubled in value in just a few months. I was really surprised and happy, the feeling at that time was indescribable.
Before coming to crypto, I also invest in stocks as well as forex, so I find it quite normal. But until I make a profit, because finding double profits in the stock market is almost very difficult and takes a long time to achieve.

What I remember was the first time I bought bitcoin in a not too large amount because I didn't fully understand it and I also felt normal, because there weren't many of them.
So I don't really care about that either.
and after a few weeks the price of bitcoin went up and this is where I was happy and also surprised when I saw the bitcoin that I had when I clicked my money balance increased 5x and this is the first time this has happened and makes me even more excited to increase my knowledge about bitcoin and also buy it back when the price goes down, and at that time i only know buy low and sell high and over time i know everything about bitcoin and others thoroughly.

After every process and the said amount of bitcoin was purchased successfully into her account, immediately there was this expression of the feeling of joy the lady expressed with a wide smiles that seem unending and I was amazed at such level of excitement she showed.

The excitement she showed is similar to the excitement that comes with achievements or achieving something that you have planned. We all express our excitements differently, so while some people may have been composed and not have shown any emotion after their first successful purchase of bitcoin, some others are unable to contain and hide their joy.

For you how was your own reaction/expression in your first time of purchasing and owning bitcoins, was it so different? I would love to know!

The first time I purchased bitcoins was on a Ponzi scheme, I didn't know what it was exactly, but the intention of Ponzi was to make money, so I felt happy that I was making moves. My joy however changed in a few days after all my bitcoins including what I had gotten via crowd funding was gone. The second time I got bitcoins after my first experience, I was happier knowing that I knew better now and my bitcoins were safer.

First reactions can vary, and unless a person has a recording or a diary entry of it, we can remember it wrong and say something that isn't how it actually happened. I don't have a diary or a recording, so I can't be sure, but I think my reaction was being inquisitive but somewhat sceptical. My first BTC was through a signature campaign, and I didn't understand how the numbers on the screen can really be worth something if you can't have a physical version of them and if tons of people would not accept this as payment. I was wondering why some people do value it and are willing to spend actual money or exchange actual goods for it. I don't think I was excited, but I was perplexed and perhaps amused.

I started with shitcoins and saw hell before eventually buying bitcoins. If I remember correctly, it wasn't a feeling of excitement I had but that of relief. Relief that I had escape shitcoin hell. The excitement that I had was in seeing my investment 2x at that time and taking profits. The excitement was also in using  the profits in getting a laptop computer and some of the other fine things of life.

I can relate to that worst first experience with shitcoin many of us started on that not even though we were well knowledge about Bitcoin and it decentralization, my experience of owning bitcoin came early as adoptor of Bitcoin but then along the way, the worst happen.

We went all in to altcoin after the etheruem blockchain came onboard and that mark the beginning of my confusion and losing of my entire portfolio, But then after realizing that altcoin were just a total time waiting I redirected my.focus back to Bitcoin and I am doing good now.

The idea I guess behind investors not buying Bitcoin on their first investment is its price which might be intimidating. If you're a small investor ofcourse you won't be ablr to buy 1BTC in an instant and it would be more welcoming on your eyes to buy coins with low market value and being to have a decent amount of it not knowing that a small amount of Bitcoin is the same with buying a quantity of small tokens ( except for the idea of higher tendency to earn profit; that would depend on the demand of the token). Bitcoin among ither cryptos would put you in a safer place if you've chosen long term investment. But for short term, altcoins would be more profitable (if you would be able to invest on profitable ones).

The first time I had bitcoin was around 2013, I had my first job I bought a little. I remember being too excited about it, I watch the market price most of the time and watch my investment go up and down. It's a mixed emotion since I know little about bitcoin during that time and I had to do my own research since I don't know anyone who knows about bitcoin during that time. As time goes by I found a group of people who shares the same interest and that group led me to this forum. Now I share my knowledge about cryptocurrency to those who are interested in it and those who are asking me questions about it.

First time I had Bitcoin that was almost 5 years ago. My mean 2017. At that time I have heard from Google blog. And than at that times I was working on YouTube. And that. When I started Digging Btc than it caught my attention and finally in 2017 I had bought BTC And till now it has changed my life very well.

Well its really wonderful to hear that more people are queuing in into the cryptocurrency world. Especially now that the market is favourable for us to buy as much BTC  as we can with knowledge and understanding that we get alot from a long time investment by hodling your coins and waiting for the market to be favourable.

For me I got into the crypto world at first with a fearful view toward bitcoin,  it wasn't until recently i really understood a little about the crypto world and how it works and after I gained this i was ready to start my bitcoin journey. I bought some few amount of btc in my binance account and the feeling was like i have already started seeing the rising and my money going high. I was happy when i was done with the whole transaction and now am just hodling.......

I remember my journey of owning first bitcoin was through social chatting over the internet. I used to do lot of paid to Click accounts back in 2014. So I met this guy over ptc site from whom I asked help regarding getting bulk referrals etc. He used to take 5-10 bucks and bam on the following day I used get lot of referrals and that too clicking ones.

When I curiously asked him one day how he is doing it then he said “peeps can do anything for Bitcoin”. That was time when got crazy curious about it. I asked him why everyone wants bitcoin so much and if I am paying you on the dollars then how are paying them in bitcoin?

Al the questions started flooding in. Then I slowly started to learn from him about peer to peer buy and sell. Got my first coin from LocalBitcoin. It was dam good journey.

Today here I am with my own Mining Rig, Nano Ledger S, earning bitcoins from multiple platforms and also teaching others about it all the time.

Thanks to that one unknown person whom I never met but he became good friend along the way. (Note: we talk very less these days, we never seen each other but only Chat now and then, miraculous!)

My journey on bitcoin started with earning some small amount of Satoshis on faucets, so I guess it is alright to say that I didn't buy my first bitcoin, I earned them through faucets and that made me indifferent.
When I read about people getting excited for purchasing their first bitcoin, I get confused because to me honestly, nothing special with it to be excited about, the only time and day I felt really excited was the day I purchased my first motorcycle and made a full payment of it in bitcoin, it gave me this joy and a confirmation that bitcoin is truly indeed a commodity that can be exchanged for other goods and services and not just kept as an investment, for many weeks, I bragged about purchasing my new bike with bitcoin to my friends, most of them who have heard about bitcoin but don't know much about it all wanted to know how I did it since bitcoin is not yet legally accepted currency in my country, I was happy to tell them.

This was the time i know I was happy, buying or owning my first bitcoin didn't make me happy or sad, I was just in my normal mood.

Before I received my first Bitcoin I had to do a lot of research and verify what I was doing.

I had to make sure I was in full control of my Bitcoin and to choose a wallet which gave
me FULL CONTROL with private keys.

Receiving the Bitcoin for the first time, I think it was $100 worth gave me mixed feelings,
on one hand it was great to see it landing in my wallet but on the other I was anxious to
get more and make the wallet balance grow!

First Bitcoin I ever got was only exciting in the sense I could play around with it. Wasn't worth much then and still isn't today ($1.70) but it was pretty cool seeing the input and how you could manipulate it and magically conjure it back into another wallet when restoring, and seeing the same value reflected on a blockchain.

Different feeling getting a significant amount as payment for work. Nervous too, making sure no mistakes made sending it to Localbitcoins to sell.

P.S. You mentioned she got it into her account. Might want to ask her to move it into a proper wallet so she does, in fact, own it

That's history for me, now I am all surfing through the ocean of crypto space and don't want to recall how I missed the train when bitcoin was 500-700 bucks. Everyday I used to  read about it and it's collapse, and how it's not the thing of this world and how I used to stay away from it. However, I somehow managed to dare myself to buy few bits and that was through coinbase initially. It was easy to use wallet and could get your coins exchanged easily. The first bits I bought were around 20-25 bucks. From that day I always used to visit CMC and check the price of bitcoin. I also had this mini task bar installed on my laptop which used to tell me live prices. Apparently bitcoin price rose very high and my bucks were literally doubled in front of my eyes and it just gave me whole new reaction for rest of the time. Then I jumped in with all the energy.

I got my first Bitcoin when I received an Altcoin from an event I participated in.
But they sent my payment to an exchange which required my to complete my KYC but since I wasn't prepared to let them have my details I then decided to swap the alts for Bitcoin since I had no faith in the Altcoin.

It was a little amount though but the price of Bitcoin rose exponentially in that period.

I'm not totally able to buy my first whole Bitcoin since I've been trying out my best on saving it up and accumulate via my earnings online.So it didn't really cost me money but only just hardwork And effort which it did really give out that feeling of contentment on the time that I had reached a whole coin which it did really take me up how many years before reaching my whole coin which there's really that achievement.

There's no impossible if you are really that dedicated and sharing up the opportunity does really give out that kind of feeling that you have shared up something which it migth changed up someone's life.Although it isn't really always talking about on how to make money but at least we've able to share up something which is great to know on.  Some might believe on what you are saying but there are people who wouldn't really find these things to be interesting.

Well, what you did is something very noble, you helped her when many of us learn the hard way, and almost with our hearts in hand, the first time I bought Bitcoin it wasn't much, it didn't even reach 50 usd, but it did I did it with great fear, I did it in localbitcoins, and I was afraid because at that moment I was in my home country and I did not see the person who was selling it to me, his reputation was not so good, I had no choice but to pray that He credited me with my bit of btc, and it lasted 15 minutes, it was the longest 15 minutes of my entire life, because 50usd for me was a lot of money and I could have bought things I needed.
