So what is the reason of not using the Blue Wallet? I would like to know which Bitcoin wallet you prefer over BlueWallet?
You misunderstood what I said. That post you quoted is a continuation of my previous post where I began talking about things I don't like to do. I talked about keeping my standard software language as English instead of switching to my native language. I continued by writing about how I am not a fan of experimenting with new wallets if I already use one that I believe offers everything I need. Blue Wallet does that for me on Android. So, I don't have anything against it. It is, in fact, my go-to wallet for my Android phone.

Cake wallet seems to be a pretty good open source wallet with quite a few features, too.

There are some other open source software wallets (or I think that they are open source?) listed on Wallets recovery: https://walletsrecovery.org/#wallet-cakewallet

Yes cake wallet is great option and I also highly recommend because against other multi coins wallet because it has far more better features than most of them, from adding nodes which is one thing most popular multi coin wallet do not have. Also the major problem is the lack of Bip44 standard not added which means for any new cryptocurrency coin you would need to have a different seed phrase for it, I don’t know maybe recent updates have addressed this but it’s a big flaw for multi coin users needing to save multiple seed phrases for each coin added.
Then minimal problems like not supporting fees below 1sats/vbyte. Regardless it’s a much much better multi coin wallet.

For me though I prefer my bitcoin only wallet for bitcoin storage because no matter how good a multi coin wallet is bitcoin only wallet usually has better bitcoin user features than them and this why I stick with BlueWallet

https://x.com/bluewalletio/status/2085301824785899989

On the bitcoin.org homepage, select “Choose Your Wallet” and follow the steps to select a mobile wallet for iOS or Android; eventually, the recommended mobile wallet will be displayed with a “Good” status.
It’s not just BlueWallet—there are other mobile wallets as well, such as Unstoppable. BlueWallet is a Bitcoin-only wallet, while Unstoppable supports other cryptocurrencies besides Bitcoin, making it a multi-coin wallet. If you’re selecting a mobile wallet for Android, the Electrum wallet is also listed there. That’s great.
BlueWallet, Electrum, and Unstoppable are all wallets you can recommend to users who ask you for advice.

If you need the whole context regarding that:

TL;DR: It's only added in the code 2 months ago, then the live website followed after.

according to this tweet, there's a new version of the popular Blue wallet.
the 8.0.2 release includes numerous bug fixes and, among other things, the following improvements:
  • psbt quicklook - preview signed/unsigned psbts directly from files on iOS
  • view raw psbt from the watch-only send flow
  • import/export transaction labels via bip329

atm there isn't a GitHub link for the new version yet, but you can be sure that satscraper will provide one as soon as it's available Wink

I just tried opening the BlueWallet app (iOS version).
I have set the app to update automatically, and I can confirm that the latest version of BlueWallet is currently 8.0.2, as mentioned by @cygan above.

For BlueWallet v8.0.2, the release notes are now available, and you can refer to the following GitHub link:

In the latest version, I found a notification about offline mode in BlueWallet. It explained that offline mode is like using a cold wallet.
After leaving this here, I'll go to the BlueWallet website to update to the latest version and learn more about this offline mode.
I thought I already knew about it.

It may be worth mentioning that if you want to use BlueWallet for cold storage, you should run it on an airgapped device.
That "Offline Mode" option doesn't really make your wallet more secure. I think it's useful only if you run BlueWallet on an online device and you don't want to connect to any server for whatever reason.

This is the first time I noticed people can buy bitcoin on Bluewallet, I think this is new. When I click on buy it took me to Moonpay.

Bluewallet on Android and iOS may not be airgapped because of how phones are which are not like computers. I will prefer to use Electrum for airgapped on computer but I can use Bluewallet or Electrum for watch-only.

This is the first time I noticed people can buy bitcoin on Bluewallet, I think this is new. When I click on buy it took me to Moonpay.
Yeah, that Moonpay-linked Buy button is just merged recently.
In this Pull Request: github.com/BlueWallet/BlueWallet/pull/8969 (merged on 2026, Oct 2)

But AFAIK, there was a "Buy Bitcoin" button before that but they removed it in later versions.
The very first third-party "Buy" link was Changelly's.

Strange, my impression was that it had always been there, though perhaps I’m confusing it with other wallets. In any case, it’s not useful for me, 'cause since these "buy" features usually involve buying coins via credit card or deposit methods that aren't available in my region/country, it’s easier to just buy directly from an exchange or by P2P and send the funds to the wallet.

I only found out later that it had been included in earlier versions but was removed at some point.

It might be worthwhile for people in other countries, though.

Bluewallet has a very elegant UI, full of features, it’s a wallet I really enjoy using whenever I need to (although I do wish it supported multi-script feature, I actually suggested that to them on github).

I know you crossed this out after you figured it out,
but it's probably because of your familiarity with "React Native" (GitHub) which is also used by some mobile wallets aside from Blue Wallet.
It's also used by other non-crypto-related apps.
For some reason, their GUI look strikingly similar with each other no matter how they redesign the elements.
