The most unreasonable thing in Crypto is that you don't know whether a project can survive or not, some of these big projects might disappear for a reason while other new ones might shine. Who expected FTX and their token to collapse within few days and pull Solana and some other coins with it, therefore I think the best time to invest is when the market start to recover and rise up again, by then  we will have clearer picture about which projects deserve an investment and which not. Currently, altcoins will probably have another wave of dumping as Bitcoin dominance is still considered low.

I think Bitcoin is the best to buy in 2023 for expected increase in value by the year 2024, though it is not among the crypto you listed. Bitcoin is the King of crypto, in my opinion as it more secure as well. My choice of altcoins to buy in 2023 includes: Ethereum, Matic, BNB smart chain, Ada, Aptos. I think these mentioned altcoins will have many activities around them that will push up their value come 2024 but I am not expecting the 20X or more increase.

You are absolutely right,  It seems  price prediction is un-realistic and such huge rise is not likely to materialize  even in next bull run. I think the the reason is, we all usually have high expectations from crypto market, is because people have seen some coins rising to the extent of 100X in 2021(Polkadot,Matic & many mores) which was beyond expectations of investors but it is not necessary that we will see the same magnitude of hype in the next bull run.

my opinion might be wrong, but looking back we can see that ATH was formed a year after the halving period was over, so I doubt that there will be a sharp increase in 2024 but I believe it will happen in 2025.
if of course I really believe in the ability of BNB which has made a surprise in 2021 with a significant increase and it will probably happen again, of course ETH and SHIBA will also be able to surprise.
all opinions can happen and this is certainly very interesting to discuss and look forward to at the right time.

You are absolutely right,  It seems  price prediction is un-realistic and such huge rise is not likely to materialize  even in next bull run. It seems that you are not so sure about the upcoming bull market where all the cryptocurrency coins will experience a significant increase in price one by one.
It should be remembered that nothing is impossible in the world of cryptocurrencies, everything can happen someday, even things that are beyond reason.
I'll give you some examples that are easy and don't make sense.
1. Bitcoin used to be just an ordinary crypto coin that was made and had no value at all, but within a few years bitcoin could reach a price with the highest ATH, namely $ 69,044.77.
2. The shiba inu coin which was launched in 2020 and many people say is just a useless and worthless meme coin but managed to prove its glory last year has the highest ATH achievement of $0.000826
So it's clear that nothing is impossible in cryptocurrency.

I agree with everything you said, now is not the time to invest in altcoins, we should wait until the market shows signs of recovery, or to be safe, we should wait until the bull season has begun.

But I don't think it's unreasonable to predict which projects will survive and which will die. If everyone knows exactly which projects will continue to exist, no one will surely lose in this game. The cryptocurrency market is a game and there are winners and losers, so it's only fair that no one can predict the future. Rewards should only be given to those who deserve them.

Usually these people read from a cycle that most people believe in at the moment, even though it's still a long way off at least this will be everyone's main benchmark from the beginning of 2023, this cycle can be trusted by everyone especially if you look up cycles, indeed  very appropriate for 2024 to buy as much crypto as you can really benefit you in the future, at least it's not wrong to buy crypto that bitcoin is one of the main targets to be purchased in 2024.

of the choices you listed above I am more interested in Matic because it is more promising than the others but actually it all comes down to people who want to invest in crypto because before investing there you should do research first, because many cryptos can go bankrupt and have problems in future and don't let it happen again like LUNA

Which one worthless? Only SHIBA you can say, because it’s a meme coin but also it’s a top ranking coin right now, but who know about future it will exist or not in 2025. But BNB is strong fundamental project to survive in 2025. But i don’t know about KCS & CHZ, KCS isn’t looking strong if considering trading volume, it’s too low.

Don't be too sure that everybody thinks that way you portrayed it. For one, I don't believe cryptos will dump in 2023. Though there could be market ranging till the last quarters of 2023, not that it will dump. Yes, it's becoming a consensus that 2024 will be a great year for this industry and that's from interpretation of historical data. However, you should've also included Bitcoin as a crypto to buy for 2024. Anyone leaving out Bitcoin and not hodling it for 2024 will surely have themselves to blame later.

I will still rely on well-established coins like BTC, ETH, and BNB. There are still lots of things that might happen this year and we can expect worse scenarios so when it comes to a long-term goal, I'll stick with coins that has been through different market situations. I believe that top coins have a bigger potential to boom if ever the market gets better in 2024. Some coins aren't reliable when it comes to long-term investment so I would prefer coins that can bring a better assurance of profit.
