Rank positions on CMC changes every bull market?

What is the crypto projects in top 20 that will fail to retain their position in the next bull market? There is a saying that in every bull market new projects will take over the top 20, do you think another project can rob the positions that Avalanche, Matic, Polkadot and Solana tomorrow?

Easily and probably will.  There is no way the top 20 stays the same.  There will be a new fad and new coins get mega pumped just like in every other cycle.  One thing is almost certain though, bitcoin will end up in first just like it always has.  That's why altcoins aren't meant for bag holding.

It changes from time to time due to the changing demand and trades in the market. But there is one thing I was sure of that Bitcoin will remain on top and then be followed by ETH. But with those on the top 10-20 coins, that can possibly change. Well, I have no worries about it because I don't have any of these coins in my wallet. I have BTC and ETH at this time, and it gives me confidence that I make rewards after this bear season. I expect Solana to drop more after the latest issue connecting to a new project.

I wouldn't really even say just rank 2 or below, because I trust bnb as well, for me those are the top three and even in some situations those stablecoins pass some of them, it doesn't really mean that they really passed it, because it won't give you any profits, you can't have USDT and hold it and make profit, maybe you could stake it, but the price won't go up.

So to me btc, eth and bnb will always be top three. Aside from that, no other crypto currency would be profitable for a long time or at least there is no guarantee for it, it will always be a bit suspicious and it will always be a bit of a trouble. All in all it's a weird situation to be in and that's it.

Can't say anything about other coins/tokens but I am very sure that solana will lose its position in next bull run. ( APTOS or SUI blockchain will take position of solana)

The most important thing is trust, and as long as people trust ethereum, no other project can replace it.

I have different opinion. Crypto in its early days suffered a lot of manipulation, as well as a lot of early days projects weren't serious, for example Dogcoin, we know why it was created and what happened next, most of other projects were the same or just a Bitcoin clone coin.These days we have different style of projects, in addition the Crypto market stability is increasing by the time, so I think many projects from the top 20 will manage to keep their positions as long as they are serious and constructive. For example, we can't expect a coin like BNB to go out of top 20 while it represents the biggest Crypto exchange.

The most important thing is trust, and as long as people trust ethereum, no other project can replace it.

It may be important mate but it is not the most because what I believe takes this? is that our research and understanding before investing , EThereum might be a best candidate but still this is altcoin and what I believe is safe still Bitcoin  .

BTC & ETH always in same rank, so it will stay that way, but eth has infinite circulation, which mean it can go beyond current situation in longer term, but beyond that stable coin might growing even further, and other layer 1 alt will come and go, depend how much money that project had and expanded their protocol to new things

BTC & ETH always in same rank, so it will stay that way, but eth has infinite circulation, which mean it can go beyond current situation in longer term, but beyond that stable coin might growing even further, and other layer 1 alt will come and go, depend how much money that project had and expanded their protocol to new things

Alt projects are really that fighting for that #2 spot on overall marketcap considering on following below Bitcoin which it would really be just normal that they would really aiming out on continuing to

develop and making out updates because if you do make yourself idle or doesnt really have that further developments which we know that newer tech and much more relevance in terms of utility
then this is where demand would stick out.Of course lets make out some exemption on Bitcoin because nothing beats out the father of all crypto but there's no assurance
that it cant be replaced someday, no one really knows.

Unfortunately, many people had missed seeing it because they got tempted by attractive offerings with these new projects.
Indeed they are playing an important role in the market and making this known globally. Although we can't sure about the future of the crypto market, still I was sure that investing in them today could not give us disappointment. But for those coins that are built in hyped and manipulated prices, doubts really exist. The market competition seems to get tough and only those projects that have a sustainable market design will survive.

We need to appreciate it because with its influence we still see Ethereum in the 2nd rank,
I think Ethereum will still be in its current ranking and I don't think there will be another coin that can unseat it,

I don't think so. Some new coins were able increasing its rank to enter into the top 100 just like what was already done by Aptos due to some reasons. People will be moving from what they are thinking it as useless tokens. No reason to keep useless tokens in your hand. The new project may have better future compared with the old projects. There are so many old coins have been replaced with new coins in the market. That proves that if new coin was going hype caused by it may have developed better thing than old one.

People will be moving from what they are thinking it as useless tokens. No reason to keep useless tokens in your hand. The new project may have better future compared with the old projects. for sure a new coin has great potential and many investors come if there is a great long term prospect. and of course there are many reasons why something could happen to support. like any old project, he has to follow the trend of the crypto world, what is happening in order to survive in the long term. surely this hype is reason that can change

In order for ethereum to be replaced a major breakthrough will need to happen or a major flaw will need to be found on its code, if we discard stable coins then the closest coin to ethereum is BNB and ethereum has almost a 400% advantage over it, it is then not surprising so many people see ethereum as a coin which cannot be replaced, however given enough time it could happen but I suspect such a process would take 8 to 10 years, and that is if there was a big enough contender in the horizon already.
