No community is superior and no community is bigger. I do not see the OP had any intention to devalue Nigerian local board but he took inspiration from it. Instead of making it a rival topic make it a support topic if you support the board, if not then just present your facts why you don't think there should not be one.

That's very correct. Many congrats to the Nigerian community for getting recognition and having their own local board.
Pakistani community also want to have there own local board since they are also very active on there Page. If there is local board for Pakistan then I can guarantee you it won't disappoint bitcointalk.org since its backed by many active members.

There are no specific rules for creating a local board. I think this reply best explains it.

However, the latest local board created was the Philippines one, before it being created their lthread had ~600 pages.

I'm no expert on the matter since I never had to make such thread, but imho what Charles-Tim did in his Request for Nigeria local board looks pretty good to me so you can take a look at it for an inspiration. You can also add few more charts and keep updating the thread on the regular basis, to show that you are keeping with activity in the longer term period.

Also, i thought that theymos had abandoned on the idea of more local board creation but after this Nigerian local board was created recently, we will many new request being raised from different local threads to create a board of their own.

I don't think that he ever abandoned the idea of creating more local boards and I think it was more about being more selective when it comes to adding new boards, given how many end up being dead. With that being said, I don't expect too many requests because if you take a look at Other languages/locations board, there's only a few threads that are actually active and by that i mean threads where there are at least a few posts written every day.

Keep in mind that was post from 2016 so things may have changed since then and I wouldn't take that 600 page mark thing as something that will guarantee your own local board.

Their thread reached 271 pages, so as I said, I wouldn't look too much into that 600 page mark. They were very active both in their thread and in their requests for local board, and on top of that they have a lot of active members. All those are things that were considered and are the reasons why they got local board first. They worked hard for it and it paid off and if you do the same I have no doubts that eventually you will get your own local board.

First of all most congratulations to Nigerians especially brainboss for achieving there activity goal in form of own local board. I personally like and respect Brainboss and I always wish to join those compaign which managed by Him. I love also nigeria because of same religion (Islam).


This Thread has been created to attract the attention of Theymos towards Pakaistan local board also. I think there is no wrong with this application and there is no battle . We also need some positive reply from Nigerian brothers so that we (Pakistani) get our own local board. I Hope Pakistani, Nigerian and other local board member will support us. Thanks in advance.

I would also like to express support for Pakistani people to get their own local board. Of course there is always hope to get it in the near future or in the future, and I'm sure they or the admin will review this proposal.

Of course it's great to be able to discuss with the local community, lots of things to do and it will also help any user who can't post something properly in English. Despite all that, comparisons are certainly unnecessary from one local board to another. But if Nigeria can, surely Pakistan can too if so far they have met the requirements.

I believe we all misunderstood ourselves; my intentions were clear from the start that I am not opposed to the establishment of the Pakistan board, and I'm sure CB's intentions were as well. This is not how an official request should be written. This is more of a set of comparison graphs. Maybe you should look at how the Nigeria request was written and how we gained the forum's full support. When Nigeria got a local board, did you suddenly realize that Pakistan needed one?

Thank you to everyone for supporting our request. New board will not only bring the new users on the forum but will also help many Pakistanis to learn and grow in the crypto market.

Pakistan is a growing economy and crypto is still very limited but even in these scenarios, it's one of largest markets now. In 2021 it was estimated Pakistanis hold more than $20 billion in crypto assets. This is a huge amount compared to 346.3 billion USD GDP (2021) of Pakistan, it's almost 5%.

There are many Pakistan users on the forum but not aware about this Pakistani thread buried in Other Languages section. One of our user Faisal2202 admitted that he registered on January 05, 2021 but until February 26, 2022 he didn't know about this thread.


As far as the request for the new board is concerned we have discussed it many times, but we were reluctant since theymos did not take any action to the previous request and we did not want our request to go wasted too. Like Mr. irfan_pak10 said, we were waiting for the right time. irfan_pak10 he is the most senior member among us and he always guides us. Last time also it was decided to wait for 50+ active members or reach 500 pages. When we reached 500 pages we still felt that we needed to wait before putting our request in front of theymos and let's wait to cross 600 pages.

We really wanted to request for the board  only when we felt that yes now theymos won't deny our request. In this regard I remember on July 12, 2021 I sent below PM to Cyrus and a few other senior members.



Although Cyrus didn't reply but some replied and suggested no need since it's very unlikely that theymos is going to create any new Local Community board. So again the request was delayed but we kept working on internally until we saw theymos in action once again.


Since in my table which I posted on 13th December, I included only 18 members which were active in last couple of weeks however CryptoYar have evaluated from https://ninjastic.space/topic/232519.0 and found out we have almost  45 active user which have posted at least 20+ replied on the thread or at least active very recently

We did not just post the numbers but we actually tried to encourage and help our local posters.

Each local community has its dynamics, and believes that there are many ways to stimulate these communities with various constant initiatives.
You are doing a good job, be aware of that, keep it up.

Your request was made privately and publicly, now it's not up to you whether this local board appears or not. I mean, they can still do something, continue to work in that good way. At the right time, it will emerge, believe it and don't give up.

I really don't see what the drawback or issue for the forum admins on not creating the board. Maybe they have to do a bit of programming to set up the board and assign a moderator for the board. Fail to understand the exact reason for delaying board creation???

I do not think there will be any official announcement for accepting or denying or delaying this request of Pakistan local board.

No one will give us the tentative time of when the board will be created. Also we see no reply from the mods telling us the exact requirement for creating the board.
We have to be patient; one lucky day we may get up and see our local board created.

You must be not a regular in forum related discussions or you would see admin usually takes time (long time) before implementing anything that is new or any request. I am sure he does his own research before agreeing with something and he manages his own time in it. In this particular case for the local board, they need patience. There are few local boards which are not very active (I dont wanna name any). Like they have last post 15 to 20 days back or in others its over month since last post is made. If you see Pakistan thread then its very much clear that its active since last 3 to 4 years. With time more members are joining in and the activity will increase. Lets just be patient and have faith in admin aka theymos.

Waiting for days and weeks seems reasonable but Pakistan local threads do not deserve a wait for years. I am saying this because we are very active in our local community and deserve a local board sooner.

Once we get the local board, it will increase the activity also and I am sure it will turn out to be the most active local board.  Just like we stand out among local threads, we will show our impression among local boards also.
