I really don't see what the drawback or issue for the forum admins on not creating the board. Maybe they have to do a bit of programming to set up the board and assign a moderator for the board. Fail to understand the exact reason for delaying board creation???

Imho, the main reason why those in charge are not so easy with creation of new local board is because many of them are now either semi-dead or dead (take a look at Japanese board whihc was the last created before Nigerians got their own) so they want to be sure (as much as possible) that the same thing won't happen with new ones too. Regarding moderators assignment, I don't think that's an issue as some other local boards don't have their own and function pretty good even without it.

Waiting for days and weeks seems reasonable but Pakistan local threads do not deserve a wait for years. I am saying this because we are very active in our local community and deserve a local board sooner.

While I do think that you deserve local board sooner than later, you should be prepared for a longer wait and you shouldn't get into pessimistic mode if you don't get it within few weeks or even few months. Imho, you should have started this topic years ago but better late than never.

Once we get the local board, it will increase the activity also and I am sure it will turn out to be the most active local board.  Just like we stand out among local threads, we will show our impression among local boards also.

You have registered on the forum back in 2015 so how many how new boards addition you have seen from @theymos till then? It's not that if there is no drawback they will have it implemented on the urgent basis and they will take time considering lot of factors.The Nigerian community has it's own board after years of request and actively participating in the local thread discussion with lot of merits as well so @theymos have a separate board for them now.So now same is the case with Pakistani board as well and if @theymos find it suitable he will make addition for it if he find it's needed otherwise they can keep their request bumped and community support in future.

Few more local boards have been created since 2015 (excluding Nigerian ofc), you might wanna check History of local boards.

Your request was made privately and publicly, now it's not up to you whether this local board appears or not. I mean, they can still do something, continue to work in that good way. At the right time, it will emerge, believe it and don't give up.

We will keep working on it and we also have our telegram Pakistan Bitcointalk Community Chatroom almost all of the current users are part of it with 60+ members now.

I don't think that should be the case since bitcointalk is based on SMF. It should be very straightforward to create a new board. But yes regarding management and assigning moderators means giving more work to admins. 

Also when all the discussions in the local board are in native language it is not possible for moderators to cash spam any possible scam early on. Unless it's reported by native speakers themselves.

So this might be the reason why theymos is reluctant to create a new board that often.

Exactly and specially when discussion is in the local language it's almost impossible to get any noticeable merits.

Regarding our request for the local board, the main reason is our Urdu language community. Urdu is the 10th-most widely spoken language in the world and being the national language of Pakistan many users who can't speak or not fluent in English will stay away from any constructive discussions.

I have seen this thread before but never paid attention to the birthdate, if you look closely on the cosmic scale of bitcointalk changes it looks like  Pilipinas, 日本語 (Japanese) and العربية (Arabic) boards were created as recently as yesterday around 2016/2017.

Keeping this in mind along with the newly created board, our wish seems to be coming true sooner than expected.

I hope in the end your request can be granted by the forum adim. Nigeria has had some success with it recently, and I have no doubt the success of other requests for other local board including Pakistan. Maybe it's only a matter of time until this request is granted, I hope as soon as possible because I don't think I can find a reason why not support this request.

That was when I was si frustrated about the whole issue of getting a Nigerian Local Board. The admin was so silent till I asked similar questions like yours. But a much more senior member told me that theymos may not be able to say any criteria so that you won't go and falsify it.
The best thing is to go back to your local hang out and put your minds together and increase your activity. Yours could be next.

It makes no sense for them to say, at least all, the criteria used. Because that could facilitate the vitiating of these same criteria, or at least try to do so.

On the other hand, in my opinion, the criteria used go far beyond the information we all have access to here on the forum. It is possible to collect a lot of information about the forum internally, which only administrators with access to the backoffice of the server have access.

I think there is no set criteria for the creation of a local board and hence it is never told publicly or officially. For example, if it was publicly stated that you need to have this many active members, these many posts, these many merits, etc, then maybe the local thread participants may try to engage in artificial discussion only to achieve the numbers.

But since nothing is told about the eligibility of the local board, it seems that forum admins want to create the local board on the natural activity, and it is good in my opinion.

I am very sure the administrator will consider this request very soon. All we need is keep this thread active. Meanwhile the Pakistani community has become more active as their total number of posts for Dec 2022 are 305, which is more than Nov 2022 when there were 282 posts.
It's the only most active community that has no separate board.

Yes this is really a good idea. Not even Pakistan's community members the others who have free space for signature who support us and think that the Pakistan's community deserve the Local board.
This may help us more and as you say it will show unity.

There are no specific rules for creating a local board. I think this reply best explains it.

The brief answer is that posting translated coin announcements in Other languages/locations threads is -snip- Best advice I can give you right now is to help create an active Pakistani community on Bitcointalk, it's a long term effort and in the end the forum might help you expand in a board of your own. However, the latest local board created was the Philippines one, before it being created their lthread had ~600 pages.

It will all depend on the management and organization that is being made to the forum.

Congratulations to the Nigerians for getting their own dedicated board with reference to the OP, and seeing that the Pakistan thread is equally super active with that 2.5 million views and 11K comments  says it all that they have the numbers to keep their board alive and its just a matter of time that this will be be materialized in no time.
