Hello good people of Pakistan. You guys are doing great and I will advice that you continue to keep this thread alive and keep increasing your engagements in your local board thread.
This is one of the means that the administrator(s) will monitor the activities of your people and decide when to grand your request. It may be a little longer, and it may happen on theymos birthday. But the most important is be active and invite other members of your country who does not use your local thread to start using it.

For the moment, the two things we can do to keep our chances high is to keep this thread active and also keep posting in our local thread. If I compare our community with what we have year back then there is massive inflow of new members. Its good to see our community growing.

We are trying to our best to keep alive this thread and also trying to improve the activity status of our local thread. In the past days our many members got their next ranks. And many are trying. We are still waiting the response of administration and hope they will show the criteria for local board. And hope we will get our local board soon. Because all members are trying to their best to improve the activity status of our local thread.

The best thing to do is continue to improve the activity of your local thread. Try as much as possible to maintain quality posts, because if you don't the administrators will assume you will spam when your board is given.
Asking about the status of your request or the administrator's criteria. I think admin does not make public any criteria to have a local board. If they do, people may tend to manipulate in order to qualify.
So, the best is to keep doing your best and leave the rest.

That's why we are waiting. And pointing out again and again to get response from the administration. We are not criticizing but turning their face to us and asking that, they should make some criteria about new local board. And still we are not losing hope. And hope so the administration will take a look to our request soon.

Thing is, forum staff never before shared criteria needed to get local board so I really doubt that they will suddenly start with you, telling you that you need to have xyz posts per month or certain mount of members active and even if there was some criteria, there wouldn't make any sense to share it because it would be possible to abuse it.

Personally, I don't even think that there is some exact criteria and they just do it when they think that time is right and that forum would benefit from having another local board. Since some waited for years, be ready to do the same.

I do agree that if the forum staff will tell the exact requirement, post counts, or active members criteria for the local board creation, many participants will start to abuse the system to unnecessarily make extra posts etc to meet the requirements. I guess the forum admin checks if the local thread is naturally growing and if there is a need for the local board, they will create it all of sudden.

Since some waited for years, be ready to do the same.

Well, we shall wait no matter how much time it takes to get the local board. Meanwhile not having a local board, would not demotivate us as we at least have the local thread to have all the fun, activities, and learnings

There is a chance but I am expecting that it should not take as long as you are explaining in the case of Nigerians. Well said as the specific criteria mentioned might lead to the abuse of the requirement for spam board creation. I think things take time to happen but we are impatiently waiting for the new board as it's too hard for us to explain all the stuff Politics, education, News & Updates, and regular conversation on the same page. It also causes a loss of important information as the page changes every day and the stiff explanation a week ago is hard to find. Still we hoping for best and we are determined to increase our activity and post quality even now many other Pakistani who never knew about local thread are appearing and posting which is the result of our community members efforts.

Things doesn't happen in just some days. Many things take time like you said. And we are waiting for the best time. And the announcement from the management. Theymos will give a good news soon. (Soon) doesn't mean tomorrow it can be some days or some weeks or months or years. But still we have a hope that we will get our new local board soon.

From all indications members from Pakistan really deserve their own board based on their activities are contributions to the forum. The Pakistanis are more active than most local boards and I know their board will not be idle like other local boards that lacks posts. My only encouragement is that you guys should keep reminding the administration and hoping that one day the local board will become a reality. You guys might wake up one morning and see that an Urdu booaed have been created. Local boards give members a sense of belonging in the forum. Its so good to see people coming and supporting our request of separate board. So far all the comments I have gone through here are in our favor. You are very much right in saying that there is no way we can predict that when we will get our separate board. We just need to keep our request and tread alive so that moderator get to know about it regularly. The main reason why moderator is not giving local board so easily is because there are already too many local boards with zero or minor activity.

There are two Active Local Thread that deserves a Loac board for sure. One of them is Pakistan, and The other is Bangladesh. Today Rikafip shared the monthly Overview of Local boards, which is the latest update of the Pakistan Board thread.

Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Bangladesh) don't have their own local boards. Not yet, at least.

Active member per local board during March 2023

They are doing far better than other locals with their own board. They always maintain a good number of monthly posts on average and active posters. Not to mention that Pakistan maintains an excellent average number in every section, like Merit/Post ratio and Merit Shared per local board. I hope admins will look into these stats and consider the application.

Yes it is difficult to say when we will get our local board but we have the hope. And yes this is good many are in the favor of our local board. I was expecting such results but still, I am hopeful that theymos will look into it and keep us his first priority for providing local board. Our efforts are still on to engage with the new active users because our current weak point is monthly active users which are consistent from 30 to 36 most of the Pakistani don't even know there is a thread for the community, because they spent most of their time on the bounties section. Some old members joined again and started getting active. Once our monthly active users reach 50+ I am sure the monthly activity for our thread will be counted in the top 5 from a number of 900+ posts per month.

Let's just conclude that you guys need to be patient this time. For sure a lot of admins are already aware of your application, and as what most members here said that there is no exact criteria you need to fill in order to be given their own local board or any application, it is just the same as how we too are having problems in terms of merit cycle specially in our local section, but due to our personal decision that we as members need to step-up to the plate, we decide to generate our own merit cycle.

I also agree that once there was someone who be given favor, for sure there will some others who will follow the steps and request their own applications. I hate to say this but that is mostly the case, and that is also what our staff has on the back of their minds. It is not that they are not willing to give you but they are worried about the corresponding risks if they will give the favor.

Maybe one day theymos will get around to adding new boards. I have also been waiting for a response to the request for a Cybersecurity & Privacy board which will help to protect users by giving them the knowledge to protect themselves and their coins from the increasing amount of cyber threats. Despite my PM and other users sending PM's to theymos, there has not been a response yet. For now, the best thing to do is wait. Maybe there is something more important going on right now for theymos and the forum, and the requests will be attended to after these things are done (Maybe new forum software?)

Maybe one day theymos will get around to adding new boards. I have also been waiting for a response to the request for a Cybersecurity & Privacy board which will help to protect users by giving them the knowledge to protect themselves and their coins from the increasing amount of cyber threats. Despite my PM and other users sending PM's to theymos, there has not been a response yet. For now, the best thing to do is wait. Maybe there is something more important going on right now for theymos and the forum, and the requests will be attended to after these things are done (Maybe new forum software?)

Just keep that request for separate "Cyber Security" section alive. Your thread has gone Inactive for quite a while now. May be one day you woke and found that section here. I have an idea that till the time we don't have a separate board for Cyber Security, why not create a thread where we can discuss important cyber security events. We created this thread exactly 4 months ago and still waiting. It's better to utilize the waiting time.

Hi Hamza2424. Nice to see you bumped the thread again. No offense, but I wanted to correct it slightly since there were some mistakes. Those mentioned Members, including myself, are not from the Pakistan Local board. All of them are Bangladeshi Members except for 1miau. We Bangladeshi people understand Urdu/Hindi, which is why sometimes we post in Pakistan local thread. I understand this mistakes happened because we posted in Pakistan Local thread and you have collected the data from Ninjastic and you did not notice there are some members from outside the Pakistan board. I hope you will correct it.

However, We Bangladeshi's (Especially I myself) Support Pakistan Local board Application. I hope in the future, Bangladeshi users also apply and get a local board.
