Request: New Local Board for Pakistan (Urdu)

You are absolutely correct, and the progress we've made so far are truly commendable, especially considering we don't have our own local board yet. Now, envision the progress we can achieve once we establish a dedicated local board for the Pakistani and other Urdu-speaking communities. It has been proven recently that the progress of a local board can be superb after it's inception.

Another month and more better stats and more progress.

The only thing that is missing is our local Board. May we have our local board before the last sun sets for the year 2023

Finally, we are in the year 2024 but still, we are waiting for our local board. We are close to 1000+ pages in our local thread, and these fantastic yearly stats speak for our performance.

Though we do lack the local board, but our enthusiasm and motivation level are at the peak and can be found in these stats for the Year 2023.

I was one of pioneer member of funcoin karobar and its also good to see that small community fund is being utilised to incentivise active members. This will encourage members to keep contributing positively in the local board.

Very true the community has been active on this forum for many years and they deserve to get a separate local board, I think Theymos is very busy in handling this forum and other tasks in his life that's why he can't devote much time to make those changes on this forum these days but he will surely one day create a separate board for Pakistani people and for Urdu speakers.

The Pakistan's local board has been active not only for days but for years and if they continue being active just like that then there's 100% chance for them to get their own local board. I wish that Pakistani people who are active on their local board and are active on this forum may get their local board so they can also create threads on their local board and promote more awareness about Bitcoin in their own community. We need to see the priorities of Theymos and how many local board approvals he would be willing to approve. Other than Pakistan, there are other communities too which are active on their local threads like "Укpaїнcькa (Ukrainian)" and  "বাংলা (Bengali)" and they are also waiting for their local board.
Other things for consideration are that there are some local boards which are very much inactive if compared to other local boards or even local threads. To be honest, no one knows and no one can guess when there will be more local boards.

Well, I am not saying that the local boards that are not active should be converted back to local threads but all I am saying is that there are only 3 or 4 local threads that are active and if those are converted into local boards, it will be good for those communities who are waiting for their local board for quite some time now.

Also, i believe that it won't be a much administrative task as the local threads have already mods assigned, and they can continue to be the mods when those threads are converted in the boards.

Yes, you're absolutely right those 3-4 active local threads where members show their presence and make posts should be considered and they might get their own local boards. New local boards are highly needed in this forum because in those local boards members who speak same language can contribute valuable stuff which will ultimately help all those people to reach the board who speak the same language.

Let's assume if Pakistan local board is created then most members will write their posts in Urdu which's the official language of Pakistan, but I must say that majority of Indians also have Urdu/Hindi as their main language and all those people can easily understand Roman Urdu. All those members can be part of this forum when that local board is created. It will also help the forum to gain more users who speak those two languages.

I was searching which other board has 1000+ pages at the moment and there is none to be found other than the Pakistan Local board. The second most pages local thread is from বাংলা (Bengali) who is on the 517 page at the moment. This is almost half of what the Pakistan local thread has managed to achieve.

Did we have any local board having 1000 pages before    Recently Nigeria got their local board and I think they had way fewer pages than the 1000 number. Seriously if this is the first time any local thread got the 1000 pages, it is a big milestone

Another month has passed by and the first quarter of 2024 has already finished. Also, we are now in the month when Bitcoin Halving will take place. So many events pass by but our wish for the local board remains pending
