The problem of current Lomachenko - he isnt hungry anymore. He has been boxing among pros for 10 years already. He has won European and World championship golden medals. While some people dream to get Olympic gold medal, Lomachenko got two of them. Not to mention all those belts he has got among professionals. He has achieved almost everything, he has earned a lot of money already, have lovely family. Compared to Haney, Loma has already "seen life, got everything". I really doubt that Loma needs and wants all that fights.

He may got everything that you said above but this fight has so much at stake for him. The unified title is what he is hoping for and this is what motivates him for this fight plus the fact that he is the underdog on this, this might be an additional motivation for him because seldom we see Loma becomes an underdog in his professional bout.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

And because of that, it's important to seize this opportunity and bet on him with those attractive odds. Loma is going to make sure it's not going to be easy for Haney. We understand that Haney is a smart boxer, but I believe he hasn't faced a boxer as intelligent as Loma. Despite Loma's age, which some may consider him an older boxer, we might be surprised on fight night. Let's watch, see, and enjoy this highly anticipated big fight.

They are both smart in the ring and highly technical boxers, honestly, this could be the first time we'll be seeing two boxers with the same skill although Loma is the most experienced one.

These two boxers are the kind of boxers that always capitalize on their opponent's mistakes and this match will be decided on who will make the most mistake.

I'm excited to see the face-off and I hope we'll see two healthy fighters Loma lose the title because of an injury we don't want to see this happen again.

I do agree, he is more hungrier than ever because this is his dream fight, to get all the belts and called himself undisputed world champion. Even his manager says that this is all that Loma wanted to as a boxer. He almost achieved it if not for the shoulder injury he suffered prior to the Teo Lopez fight.

And so this is a second chance for him that he doesn't want to waste and so with that, he will well motivated and 100% be ready for this fight.

Haney is trash talking him, even telling right into his face that he is a dirty fighter. So Loma will have something to proved in this fight and to shut that big mouth of Devin.

As much as I respect Devin Haney, the kid is the man in this division and is undisputed but it is annoying when he tries to trash-talk and throw false accusations on Loma. Is Haney trying to have a reason to get mad and disrespect Loma in order to further motivate him? Haney says he wants to punish Loma for what he did to him in the past. What did Loma do to Haney in the past? And what type of punishment he can offer when he is not a KO artist and is only very good at hugging his opponents? Seriously, betting markets should offer an over or under as to how many hugs Haney will do this weekend.  Cheesy

I know Loma is already past his prime but I really hope that what is left to him is enough to outsmart Haney. I expect Haney to make another boring fight just to secure his undisputed belts. Haney will jab, move and then hug Loma every time he goes near. At this stage of their careers, Haney will be the stronger guy so he might dictate the hugs in this fight.

Well, in the past, Devin Haney tried to ask Loma for a chance to fight but the latter didn't agreed because Haney was just a kid at that time who haven't have any benefit if he will give him a chance. While Loma, he was already a champion that is why Devin aimed at him but nothing was materialized because Loma was too busy collecting belts to be the undisputed champ.

Both of them got a reason why they should win this fight on their favor and it will be a good test for the both of them as they are both experts in-terms of technicalities while Loma might have some advantage on this because his KO rate is somehow decent compared to the current undisputed champ.

i feel that Devin Haney is entering his prime. even though he is entering his prime, i do not trust his power yet, he still has a lot to prove.

I very much agree. This is why the odds for over 10.5 rounds is only 1.17 hehe. However, despite not having the power, Haney is faster, he has an improved philly shell defense and he is very intelligent. I reckon after his first fight vs. Kambosos in Australia, he also has shown that as a fighter, he is fully grown already. I am not certain if this will be a dominating performance for Haney but I would not be shocked if it ended with a dominant win him.

In any case, Tank Davis should fight Haney hehehee. Tank has already left Mayweather's gym where he trained with Haney. Boxing experts say Haney loses vs. Tank in their sparring sessions.
We should know by now that Devin Haney is not a knockout artist, he might be entering his prime though, I agree with that, but I'm not seeing him proving anything as far as his power goes. You can't teach it in the gym, either you have it or not. And another weakness of Haney is that he has a weak chin, he has been hit got wobbled throughout his career.

So with his lack of power, he make it up with this good boxing IQ and defense. That's why even though he has been hurt before, he was able to get back and beat his opponent through decisions.

This only happened because Haney has not perfected in his use of the philly shell defense. However, it appears that he is a much improved fighter after fighting Kambosos twice. The only fighter who can knock him out might be Tank Davis, I reckon.

As mentioned already, Tank has left Mayweather's gym. I will not be shocked if Tank's next fight is against Devin Haney for all of the lightweight championships hheheehe.

Haney had a very dominant win in their first meeting with Kambosos, but in the rematch, it seemed like he was slightly injured. This is something he cannot afford against Loma, as Loma knows how to capitalize on his opponent's weaknesses.

As mentioned already, Tank has left Mayweather's gym. I will not be shocked if Tank's next fight is against Devin Haney for all of the lightweight championships hheheehe.

That's going to be a great fight, but let's wait for the outcome of Haney vs Loma first because if Loma wins, the potential matchup between Devin and Tank Davis might not happen.

Past prime ? GGG fought Canelo at the age of 40 (Loma is 35) and lost only 3-4 points shortage. Before that GGG has finished his opponent in dominant way. He was also 35+, basically same age a Loma. I dont think age is a primary factor here. Age can be interpreted as experience here. Like I've said, it is either Loma goes "pedal to the metal" from very start, or will lose by points. I really doubt that among such experienced fighters, fight is going to end by KO or TKO. So it is all about winning rounds. Right now, Loma prefers to lose first rounds and increase tempo, trying to catch his opponent.

It might be a bad idea for Loma to lose early rounds and to do catch up. He should be blasting Haney whatever way he can, and not give him the confidence. Otherwise, it might be difficult for Loma and for sure he will be looking for a knockout to settle their difference. The more I watch the promotion leading up to the fight, it seems that either one of them are taking this fight personally. Haney saying that Loma is not that good guy that he is portraying in public (and I think this is what the Lopez's has said leading up to their fight). And so Loma will really have to show his talent here and not allow this fight to end in the judges cards.

I do agree that it would nightmare for Loma if he would lose the early rounds, Loma is a slow starter but in this very technical fight he can't afford to lose the first half of the fight but the good thing is that Haney is not a one-punch KO artist so that might give Loma the confidence to be aggressive early on to compile the points needed as this fight will go the distance.

Lomachenko may be known for starting slow, but that doesn't necessarily give Haney an advantage. Both fighters will likely begin cautiously, testing each other's game plan. Once they figure out the openings, we can expect an exciting exchange of punches. If Haney chooses to fight aggressively, it will make the bout even more entertaining. Hopefully, we will witness the same Haney who displayed his skills in the second fight against Kambosos so Loma will be able to land more clean punches.

Well, the last time Loma fought, he was not the same fighter anymore. Was it only ring rust or he just declined? Until I can't see the Loma that beat Linares, I consider him out of his prime. I anticipate Haney as the quicker and stronger guy in this fight. I also hope Loma does not give the early rounds to Haney because that kid will be contented with his jabs throughout this entire fight and will move away or hug to avoid any risks.

Fighters aged in different ways but most of them lose their primes in their mid-30s. Conservative styles like Lennox Lewis, GGG, Bernard Hopkins, and Mayweather Jr. tend to last longer than fighters that use a lot of energy when they fight. Guys like Loma, Roy Jones, and Tyson consume a lot of energy and relied on speed so they will be in trouble once their bodies start to diminish.

Tomorrow, we will likely have an answers to our questions and hopefully it's the positive one.

Just what I thought so. It could turn into a hug fest if Loma can get a close distance. Devin will likely set the pace for the fight as he somehow does in most of his fights. He'll always step right on it in the middle and it could hang on power jabs that he can throw and body punches.

Both are fast but I think Loma had declined already. It's always that way and Loma knows it could be his only chance in his weight class.

Hard to say at this point, I agree that fighters when they age 30+ might be out of their primes already, and that could be true for those average or good boxers. But I think everyone will agree that Loma is an elite boxers, not just in pro ranks, but in amateur as well. And with that, I believed those elite boxers will have one good fight in them before Father time will caught up with them.

So maybe this is one fight that we might see Loma rising to the occasion and beating a young fighter in Haney. But if this is not the case, and he lost against Devin and have a lackluster performance like in the Ortiz fight, then yeah, maybe he is no longer in this prime and probably just have a couple of fights left in him because of wear and tear and most likely will continue to box just for the payday before he retires.

Cheesy

Most likely, he tries to motivate himself, but it could also be that he is saying that truth, Loma and his camp snub him 4 years ago, the same way they did to Teo Lopez, before fighting him and losing the belt. And there are two boxers now that says the same against Loma, so who knows, maybe there is some truth on it.

I know Loma is already past his prime but I really hope that what is left to him is enough to outsmart Haney. I expect Haney to make another boring fight just to secure his undisputed belts. I know, Haney is boring, but I don't know, if you guys heard him in interview, he sounded like Floyd Mayweather to me? Is he copying Floyd up to the way he spoke and that stutter? or it is just me?

Like Mayweather, Haney may strive to have a defensive and calculated style, but he is unlikely to achieve Mayweather's level of financial success in boxing. Mayweather is widely regarded as one of the most successful boxers in terms of earnings during his active years. Haney, on the other hand, still has much to prove in the sport. To attract more fans and critics, he should continue moving up in weight classes and seek out challenging opponents and the money will follow.

I'm intrigued by what you said so I watched the recent interview on both boxers but for me, he sounded different from Floyd hehe or it's just that people from Vegas spoke, Mayweather is from Las Vegas right, correct me if I'm wrong.

But there might also be a chance that Haney is trying to emulate Floyd, trying to be the villain in a match to sell more tickets as we know that he is not a PPV kind of boxer, boring as they say. If only Loma is not his opponent, this could not be a blockbuster fight I think.

Loma is an entertaining fighter, so even if Haney is quite boring, people would still watch the fight. Haney is still in the early stage of his popularity, and although he is a boring fighter, if he continues to defeat popular boxers like Loma, then most probably he'll earn big paychecks in the future. This fight is not going to be a one-sided fight for sure, but the edge here is on Haney because he is younger and quicker, while some say Loma has already passed his prime.
