I know Loma is already past his prime but I really hope that what is left to him is enough to outsmart Haney. I expect Haney to make another boring fight just to secure his undisputed belts. Haney will jab, move and then hug Loma every time he goes near. At this stage of their careers, Haney will be the stronger guy so he might dictate the hugs in this fight.
I know, Haney is boring, but I don't know, if you guys heard him in interview, he sounded like Floyd Mayweather to me? Is he copying Floyd up to the way he spoke and that stutter? or it is just me? Like Mayweather, Haney may strive to have a defensive and calculated style, but he is unlikely to achieve Mayweather's level of financial success in boxing. Mayweather is widely regarded as one of the most successful boxers in terms of earnings during his active years. Haney, on the other hand, still has much to prove in the sport. To attract more fans and critics, he should continue moving up in weight classes and seek out challenging opponents and the money will follow. For sure Haney will do that he will copy the style of Mayweather but he can't copy all the techniques because may weather is a pretty boy he can adjust to the punches of his opponent once he calculates that the punches of his opponent feel him like not enough to beat him then he will become aggressive but if his opponent is stronger than him then we will make a defense all the time when his opponent have the timing but when he see an open shot they he can do a counter punch.

Maybe he pattern his game like Floyd, but they are very different in my opinion. And just fantasy though, Floyd vs Devin at 135 prime for prime? I will still go with Floyd. At 135 lbs, Floyd is very fast and skillful already and has the knockout power. Devin doesn't have the power and he has a weak chin. So it will be interesting to see if Haney can take the power of Loma. Let's see if he can hit Haney solid and then maybe Devin chin can hold or not. Fight is getting closer so for sure everyone is very excited already to see this fight and probably looking for ways to see this fight for free.

I'm intrigued by what you said so I watched the recent interview on both boxers but for me, he sounded different from Floyd hehe or it's just that people from Vegas spoke, Mayweather is from Las Vegas right, correct me if I'm wrong. But there might also be a chance that Haney is trying to emulate Floyd, trying to be the villain in a match to sell more tickets as we know that he is not a PPV kind of boxer, boring as they say. If only Loma is not his opponent, this could not be a blockbuster fight I think. Most likely it was just me. But in any case, yeah you could be right, trying to play the villain role, people going to hate him because he is attacking one of the best boxers in the last 10 years and that is Loma. Yeah, his fights are really boring because he don't know how to knockout his opponents, he just simply break them down. But it will be hard to see do that to Loma unless he is really out of shape and no longer in his prime.

That's their difference though, Floyd Jr. in his prime was hard to defeat or even take down because even if his chin will receive a solid blow, it can still withstand it. Plus, he's quite a package as his power is vicious enough while his defense is also a killer that enables him to counter quickly and efficiently. Philly Shell was Canelo's nightmare, he can't just forget that easily because it was Floyd who gave him his first defeat. Anyway, we are now much closer to the fight night and it's just one sleep away from seeing the much anticipated fight of the year. Not because of Haney but because of Loma, people wanted to see how will he perform this time and looking forward as well to have the answers to our questions.

I am still astonished as I watch the previous fight of Lomachenco. It seems I can't get enough of his stunts and antiques and keep watching it again and again. Lomachenco's foot work and side steps in his early years is really astonishing, he is too fast that he can easily get on the back of his opponent without his opponent noticing it. Meanwhile, Lomachenco gave a reaction on the claim of Devin Haney that he is a dirty fighter. He said that he was baffled by it and thinks that he don't box dirty and thinks that Haney is just playing a "game". according to this article[1] Haney wants Loma to be hesitant to fight out the many clinches Devin Haney will make.

... much respect to loma though. the promotion couldn't just let the top young guys to fight each other by reasoning no one wants to fight this and that so they just pick the old timer. there's isaac cruz or shakur looks befitting. Lomachenko deserved his shot because he is the long time WBO mandatory. Actually, Loma is supposedly the first to fight Kambosos if not for the war in his country. Now with all the belts under Haney's waist, he needs to defend them or lose some of them if he fails to follow mandatories. Besides, even beating an old Loma makes your name more popular and credible because the resume is clearly worthy in the Hall of Fame. Teofimo, Haney, and Shakur are the next generation and are somehow proven but their resume needs more achievements for them to follow Loma's path and I even doubt all of them can enter the Hall of Fame when they retire. I did not even mention the names of Tank and Cruz, their resumes are too weak at the moment. Shakur is most likely next. This undefeated 2 division champion and Olympic medalist will never get ignored and he showed he's got the skills and is better than Haney IMO. This fight might be Haney's last under Top Rank and his last in this division. Top Rank already offered Haney (win or lose) a shot at the winner of Josh Taylor and Teofimo Lopez. So maybe he re-signs but I won't be surprised if he returns to Matchroom especially since WBC champion Regis Prograis is already there. But still, Top Rank has too many big names in the division to offer if Haney is aiming for legacy. Matchroom though despite no other top names in the division aside from Prograis has DAZN which has the biggest money in boxing and it also has Ryan Garcia under Golden Boy Promotions. As for the other young names like Cruz and maybe Tank as well. Tank if he stays with PBC and Showtime can continue cherry-picking and exploiting his opponents. He might only care for money and not for his legacy. Cruz meanwhile might need to transfer to the other networks if he gets the chance since PBC will continue to baby Tank and will never give him that rematch. Besides, all the belts at 135 are at Top Rank.

It's obvious though, they are all Top Rank so the fight can be easily be made by Arum himself. Which mean we will be treated next with another great fight, Shakur is about to hit his peak, his prime years so facing either one of this two will be a good matchup, as we have said, style make fights. Just want to let you know that Kambosos extended his contract with Top Rank, so maybe down the line, he could still get to fight for the belts.

During the face off, Haney appears to have lost his control on his emotions and pushed Lomachenko. This might show that there is fear in Haney. This might also become an advantage for Lomachenko if he can cause something similar in the ring hehe. It appears that I might have underestimated the Ukranian. Can I change my vote? Change to 19 votes for Haney, 17 votes for Lomachenko hehehehehehe.

I'm surprised he did that, what's with Haney, I have seen a lot of his face-off and he is not like this he used to be very cool and gentlemanly what's with him, Loma is very cool it's like a normal routine for him it's like another fight for him and Haney feels like he is being underestimated by Loma, this is going to be a very good match to watch. The first one to lose his cool and composure will likely make a mistake that the other guy can exploit.

I really doubt that Haney fear Lomachenko. I doubt that any professional fighters even have fear before the fight. They have been punched in the face during training and sparing so many times, so there is no fear of getting one more I suppose that this is stress due to weight cutting. Loma isnt the guy who talked much, never seen him trashtalking. So I would give 0% chance that he got in Devins head and made him feel nervous. Or Devin is just "real hood gangster" that is protecting his territory (the US), because he kept on saying "go home boy" Devin was just heating this fight and selling more PPVs

So I d agree that psychologically, Loma could have won the battle already. But let's see if that mental effect will carry over into the ring and Haney can't get into his ground in this fight.

Boxing is not just fought physically, it has also mental toughness which based on what we saw in the weigh-in, seems like Haney already lost half of the game but might also be a tactic on his side as he is playing the villain role here and might help his career, I mean that alone could add some people to watch just for him to lose. TBH, in this kind of stage where all the lights are focused on them two, Loma has the advantage as he has fought more championship fights than Haney, the only advantage i see here for the latter is his size and youth.

This makes me want to bet more on Loma, as he appears more focused in the fight compared to Haney. I am eager to witness Loma's revenge in the actual fight, and I hope that push did not cause any harm to his shoulder, considering he reportedly underwent surgery in that area. Haney's inability to control his emotions could become his weakness on fight night, and it's possible that we may no longer see him as an undefeated fighter.

Loma isnt the guy who talked much, never seen him trashtalking. So I would give 0% chance that he got in Devins head and made him feel nervous.
Yeah Loma is always been a good and cool guy, similar like GGG. Both of them are really fighting, they're not using a dirty or tricky strategy to make them win in points, I think both of them have no haters. This makes me want to bet more on Loma, as he appears more focused in the fight compared to Haney. Is Haney underestimating Loma? I think not, but this is not his character during weight in on his previous matches. After all this exciting match will happen in the next few hours, I hope we will see a good fight regardless the result is.

Yes lomachenco do what he want to do and also he is following the rules and regulations in boxing he fight in a good way and not in a dirty one as we all know that Lomachenco had a strong stomach that make him though and also he is a good puncher. And the best thing in boxing dont underestimate your opponent because they trained harder to make a good fight in their fight. So for haney e must take this seriously .

It does look like Hahey trying to sell more tickets but that push is too much of a disrespect to Loma who didn't do or say anything to him. Classless idiot.
Boxers find it dirty to suddenly see their opponent getting behind their backs. Loma had this kind of skill because of his footwork one could say the best in his prime.

at 35, the matrix can still dodge. loma may show a little rust in his style but he could come up as winner like did with big fellows such as commey. in all honesty between the 2 loma is more exciting to watch than haney. so we'll just find out soon.
much respect to loma though. the promotion couldn't just let the top young guys to fight each other by reasoning no one wants to fight this and that so they just pick the old timer. there's isaac cruz or shakur looks befitting.
[1] https://www.boxingnews24.com/2023/05/lomachenko-baffled-by-haneys-dirty-fighter-claims/However, who is really losing the psychological tactics? During the face off, Haney appears to have lost his control on his emotions and pushed Lomachenko. This might show that there is fear in Haney. This might also become an advantage for Lomachenko if he can cause something similar in the ring hehe. Or it can be a stunt to heat things up. Since if we noticed there is not much of trash talk going between these two boxers, Loma is too quiet preparing for the upcoming fight and probably Devin Haney wanted to do something to heat up the upcoming fight and cater more audiences. Though I don't think there is a need for that. It appears that I might have underestimated the Ukranian. Can I change my vote? Change to 19 votes for Haney, 17 votes for Lomachenko hehehehehehe.
I think if Loma performs like the old days, then it is highly possible that he can beat Devin Haney easily. But if Loma's performance is the same as his last match then, it is more likely that Devin Haney will dominate the mathc.

Yes, I also saw it in the face off, not sure what really happen to Haney, but it seems that he has lost control of his emotions in this fight. After the push, he just hurriedly walk away.
So I d agree that psychologically, Loma could have won the battle already.

Exactly, Loma didn't even flitch when he was push, obviously he wanted to return the favor, but a lot of people is already in the middle separating them. And so Loma was laser focused on that intense weigh-in and with that we will see if he still has that one killer game on him to really quiet Haney's mouth running around during the promotion of this fight. Or Haney is really the villain in this fight, sort of the character that he has developed all throughout the start and the promotion and up to the weigh-in as that is physical already.

Most probably it's all just an act. Nothing really provoked him, Loma did nothing in interviews nor on the face-off. But because of that push, I think many fans will want to see a heated fight in the ring. It must be for the marketing deliberately done for wants to see whether Loma can have his revenge. It happened too fast, Loma should have been cautious already the moment when Haney was talking to him that close. He was still smiling uncomfortably as lips gets closer
