Woah 257 pages on this and the tournament doesn’t start for 2 years. I guess we have qualifying to discuss though. It’s difficult to discuss who might win it because so much can change in two years. You would assume the usual suspects will have no problem qualifying though so we can still talk about who might win it.
Spain are a young team coming off the back of winning the Euros, they will be a force. Argentina are always there, will Messi still be playing though, at his age retirement must he close. Maybe this is his swan song and imagine going out after winning a second World Cup. The GOAT discussions would he over.
I feel like most of that is mainly because of last world cup. If you check when this topic started, you will see that a lot of people started to talk about this world cup because they saw the last one, and the hype was a real one. A lot of big clubs lost at the group stage, and the finals of 2022 world cup was one of the most famous world cup finals of recent memory, I can't remember any that went that close and that entertaining at the same time.
All in all, we have 2 more years, but we know the teams, and I think it is obvious that there are few that will do fine, and this is why people already talk about it. Along with that, there has been a lot of talks about Messi and Ronaldo as well, it is obvious that it will be their very last world cup, and even that's in question, 2 years is a long time, and they will be incredibly old when this happens, they will of course play, but they will be far from their prime, so it is going to be quite difficult to watch them like that.
In the end, when you combine last one, Messi/Rronaldo, qualifying and all that, then suddenly you start to have 250+ pages of people discussing all of these, and it makes it quite entertaining to chat about opposite ideas.
