It's the truth Italy has been regressing so hard. They were also rarely qualifying to the WC, but i think they statistically better than Nothern ireland. Other than that they're also strongest NT in the playoffs by margin. So, they have to win it, and they should not be scared of Nothern Ireland consider they're better than their opponent in all of aspects.

However, the main problem will be on their psychological aspect. They were not having strong mentality, and the burden to miss WC third times in a row will obviously overshadowing their performance. Yet, i'm rooting on them to win.

If they fail to do that against Nothern ireland, the better for their federation to hammer Gattuso and everyone in the squad.

Italy was also the first team that caught my attention among today’s matches, and I think they should beat this kind of opponent. I’m also looking at the Czech Republic - Ireland match and I believe that the Czech Republic won’t lose at home. In the worst case scenario, it could go to extra time if they fail to win in regular time. Sometimes Ireland sits deep in defense and doesn’t allow their opponents to score. But I think the Czech Republic has a solid attack and should be able to find a goal in regular time.

I bet on Turkey to win today's game because I believe that playing at home, Turkey will have a better chance of winning and shouldn't waste the opportunity, because qualifying for the World Cup has become more complicated than in 2022 when Turkey qualified and achieved a relevant position in the competition. Nowadays, many national teams that were weak in the past have good players who play for big European clubs, and countries with good leagues are importing many foreign players.

This leaves them with few highly skilled native players who play for the big teams. The wait for UEFA second round seemed endless, but finally we have matches starting from today. 8 extremely important matches will be played today. Bad news for me is that I have a series of office meetings at the same time and won't be able to watch any of these matches live. But I understand the viewpoint from FIFA. They want the matches on same day, in order to reduce any sort of match fixing among the participants. Italy has a match against Northern Ireland in around 8 hours from now, and by that time the Romania vs Türkiye match will get completed.

If you go through the statistics between both teams, it is obvious that Turkey is the superior side but that doesn't necessarily mean that Romania can't cause an upset, even if not in the first encounter, just may be the might turn the table around in the second leg when they play host to Turkey in their home ground, strategically Romania may decide to approach this game by reducing the number of goals they might concede and also getting a goal, that way they might be able to squeeze their way through.

Turkey is clearly superior and i think that this advantage also comes from the players it has, but in modern football you can never know what seems obvious in the end changes and never stays that way, so it could also be that Turkey will lose this match against Romania, no one can know.

Yes, that's a possibility, you're right. However, we will do our best in this match we will play in Turkey. Hopefully, we can go to the World Cup and represent ourselves in the best way there. We drew 2-2 with Spain in Spain, and we did that against the number one team in the world. I think we need to be in the World Championship.
