I don't think Neymar's presence on the pitch will make Brazil look that different. If it were Neymar in his prime, it might be possible, but he's older now and his form has declined. The only reason people are still hoping for him to be called up to the national team is because he's a senior Brazilian player and many are expecting him to be at the World Cup for the last time. But in terms of performance, there's probably not much to expect from him - especially when facing the golden players from other teams, which might be even more difficult for him. Honestly, it just wouldn't feel right to have a World Cup without him. Ronaldo, Messi and Ney are players that, in my opinion, simply have to be there, and i'm sure they can still help their teams in the best possible way. If brazilian national team were a potency right now, I could understand the decision of not taking Neymar to world cup, but the team is quite below the level of brazilian soccer comparing to past generations of soccer players. So, if Neymar won't add anything to the team, he won't subtract too. Then, take him to world cup, why not? I’m also on edge for it to start already. I don’t think this one will be especially good like 2010 in South Africa; for me, that was the best one ever. The vuvuzelas, the great songs, and the Africans dancing at every match were beautiful to me. I think France or Spain will win it, and for a dark horse, I’ll choose Norway as a surprise. They shocked me in the qualifiers, maybe they can continue that form.

Brazil hasn't been world champion since 2002, so 24 years, even though they come to every world cup as one of the main favorites for the title,
It seems to me that their main problem is that they have always been a team with a lot of great and talented individuals but they have never been a real team.
I hope that Carlo Ancelotti will manage to change that and prepare them for this world cup in the best way.
Ancelotti knows how to work with teams that have a lot of big stars with big egos (Real) so I think he is the best choice for Brazil.
Neymar is an extremely talented and quality player but he has been destroyed by frequent injuries and an unsportsmanlike life. I wouldn't be surprised if the coach leaves him out of the national team.

yes for me too, despite having been one of the best players in the world, the difference that Neymar can make now is not as impactful as it once was and Ancelotti knows this, but surely if Cristiano Ronaldo who is even older can do it, why can't Neymar who still plays at a high level do it?

Yeah, like sometimes age or performance never works. Impact is important, like Ronaldo doing for Portugal. The same can be done for Neymar for his team, but maybe Carlos Ancelotti has his own concerns about this, but he also needs to understand he is in Brazil, where things are completely different from Europe.

I don’t understand why everyone keep saying Neymar should be playing in the World Cup, have you all asked yourself why he is not being called up and why his been left out of the squad on several occasions, for the information for everyone here, Neymar isn’t completely fit he is struggling with fitness, he has a terrible injury record, which is why he left Saudi Arabia, and now he is also getting injured on a regular basis with Santos in Brazil, taking Neymar to the World Cup is just like you are taking a liability, he is going to be a liability because he isn’t going to feature in so many games, maybe if you want an experience and leadership it could actually help, but talking about someone who will be playing on a regular basis and helping the team then it’s not Neymar anymore, as a manager you need players that can contribute.

Iran national team heads toward 2026 World Cup

Just a few hours back, the Iranian national soccer team headed for participating in the FIFA World Cup 2026. With this development, the big saga is already ended about their participation. It's good because all soccer fans were looking for them.

Even the situation was not good due to some chants about Israel and the USA, but still it's good now 48 teams that qualify are going to give their best in this first new-looking World Cup, which is going to be played in Canada/USA/Mexico after a few days.

I don't know, Germany is certainly very strong, i don't know about the Netherlands, they don't fully convince me.
Spain in group H certainly has a lot of chances of progressing as well as being a very strong team.
She's also a good candidate to win.

Now Mexico is not populated with good players, meaning there are not many players who play for the big leagues, they now only rely on players from their local league, so considering them as a candidate to win the World Cup, it feels a bit redundant.
Yas, Spain and France should be included in the list, they are doing well and have many talented players, especially Spain because in terms of the quality of their game is not in doubt. One more country that needs to be included is Portugal. Portugal has the complete package as every area is occupied by players who are in top form this year.
